the escape

The last thing the young man and the caretaker did before he left like a thief in the night, was to cast one last spell together, along with the help of the ghost. Milo, as probably the strongest wizard inside the coven, being accompanied by one of the oldest and therefore strongest witches inside the coven and a ghost who was... well, a ghost. They cast a spell together as they combined their powers, making sure that by the time everyone inside this coven opened their eyes the next morning, they would not know about the existence of a young man known as Milo. The young wizard had thought about travelling in his wolf form, though he had stopped that thought fast. The last thing he wanted was to shift, once he had gotten to his destination, to end up naked, because well… wolves didn’t wear clothes at any given time. Thankfully, he knew a more magical mode of transportation, as he would teleport himself from one place to another, every few minutes, making sure his scent would get masked, that even if the council found out about his absence somehow, there would be no way that they would be able to track him down. It took the young wizard the whole night and next morning, until he was finally situated near the place where he needed to be. The ghost had promised him she would guide him along the way, and all he had to do was follow the aura of magic, it was almost too easy. And as he arrived at the place, he knew he was right where he needed to be. The amount of magical powers that were lingering here were off the charts and higher than anything he had ever felt in his lifetime. And for some reason, he wanted to get in, he wanted to see it with his own eyes, but for now, he knew he needed to be patient. They would come for him in a matter of seconds. They were still wolves after all. And sure enough, after a few minutes, some wolves came into the young wizard’s vision, as they came running his way at an immense speed. The young wizard knew immediately which two wolves were his so-called ‘brothers’. It was almost as if their aura had another color than the rest in his eyes, their own signature, which made them stand out to him. And as the young wizard could feel the magical powers of his brothers, he was positive his brothers could feel his as well, as they came closer and closer by the second. They both stopped, as a massive black wolf stood between them, making him the Alpha without a doubt. He let out a hard growl towards the young wizard, who was not intimidated by the giant wolf at all, although he did respect him and his authority over his own land. To show his respect, the young wizard lifted his cape, showing his face towards the people he had just met, seeing that they all looked at him in awe. They feel it! They know we are connected! The young wizard thought, as they all looked at each other. “Who are you? And what has brought you to the borders of this pack?” The Alpha asked the young wizard, who had just shifted back into his human form. The young wizard nodded his head as a small smile crossed over his cheeks. “I come from the Blue Moon Coven. I am a fugitive and I seek shelter, hoping you can provide it for me.” The two other hybrids stared at each other, before they both shifted back into their human form as well, showing their faces for the first time. One had green eyes and spikey brown hair, the other brown eyes, matching the brown set of curls which were resting on his head. But the young wizard’s attention was pulled back towards the Alpha as the dominant man spoke again. “May I ask what the crime was that had you in prison or captivity? I want to know what kind of fugitive I would be providing shelter to inside my pack.” This only sounded fair to the young wizard, if only the Alpha would believe his meaning of being here. “I am no criminal Alpha, I was taken and being held for something entirely different. I am sure Mason and Seb will understand. After all, we seem to be connected, so I have heard.” The two hybrids standing next to the Alpha shared a look again, seeming as if they had some sort of mutual understanding, or a language of their own, by just looking at each other. It was the man with the curly hair who spoke first towards the young wizard as he asked “Who are you?” to the young wizard, his eyes looking as if he was seeing a ghost. How ironic really. But the young wizard took a breath before speaking again as he looked at the hybrid with the green eyes and the pointy brown hair. “I am Milo, and my caretaker had a visit from your Nana last night. After a good talk, my caretaker insisted on me getting out and coming here to meet you two. I believe she said that your mate is in need, Mason?” The young hybrid seemed in shock by my words, although he didn’t seem surprised by the mention of his dead great grandmother, he did seem impressed. Even more so by the news about making his mate better. “Can you make her better?” The curly one asked, and the young wizard could tell he cared for the other one’s mate as well, and he felt right away what those feelings were, family. The one’s mate, must be the other one’s sister. Interesting! The young wizard shrugged as he looked at the other hybrids. “I don’t think I can, but I believe that the three of us can, together. I believe we are the prophecy of three after all.” To that, the hybrid with the green eyes turned to face his Alpha, a look in his eyes that he was determined to get what he wanted, even if he had to beg for it. “Please Alpha, if he is talking the truth and we can save Charlotte, we have to try. I beg you Alpha, let the man pass.” The Alpha took another look at the young wizard, weighing his options and seeking for any potential threats or problems which he could not find. “I will vouch for him, if he does something wrong or even tries anything, I will pay for it.” The other hybrid added, and the young wizard was amazed as he looked at his two brothers, how they would take a bullet for each other so easily. Praying to himself that maybe one day, they would do that for him as well? The Alpha rolled his eyes as he looked at the hybrid with the curls in his hair, who was giving him a look of despair. “Don’t act like a fool Seb, no one is vouching for the man.” Before he gave the wizard another look, one that stated he would rip the young wizard apart, if he would even try something. Which the young wizard did not plan on doing at all. The young wizard grinned, knowing that by that look, the Alpha had made his choice, and welcomed the young wizard onto his land. Welcomed him to help save his brother’s mate. “I will leave the three of you alone for a while, Milo, if you try anything you are leaving this place at once, understood?” The Alpha stated, as he turned around, ready to leave in the same direction they had come from. And all the young wizard could do, was smile wide as he stepped up towards his new brothers. “Mason, I do have to say in all honesty, your Nana is quite the woman.” As all three of them looked at each other in wonder, or shock, or maybe even both.
