Chapter 54

Desiree’s POV

I truly enjoyed my “me day”. After everything that has happened, I needed this day to disconnect and relax. We left the mall late and had dinner at a seafood restaurant attached to the mall. We made sure we kept David and Wesley updated on what we were doing and where we were. We understand the dangers and are not irresponsible. Tomorrow we are announced as their mates and future ranked members. We each found a nice simple dress for the occasion. Mine is a white halter dress with a gold bodice. I was able to find gold wedge sandals. I spent the time during our massage deciding if I wanted to proceed with the announcement. I love Anthony and Antoine, and I had to decide if what we have is worth fighting for. I also had to think of Celestia, Stone and Granite; I could not take her from her mates. The goddess also put us together for a reason. I decided to keep pushing and fighting. I hope we figure this out before I have no fight left.

We get back to the pack and the guys meet us at the garage, to help us with our bags. We drop everyone at their room and David escorts me to my room. The door is ajar when we get there, he pushes me behind him and slowly opens the door

“WHAT THE f**k?” he yells. I look around him and immediately get angry

“ANTHONY AND ANTOINE GET YOUR ASSES TO OUR ROOM NOW” I yell through the link

“Desi, baby your home, we….” I hear Antoine start

“SHUT UP AND GET HERE NOW” I yell in the link and put up a block. Celestia is growling and ready to come out due to the sight in our room

Exactly two minutes later I see them running down the hall. They run right to me

“Don’t touch me!” I growl

“Desi” they start speaking at the same time.

I hold my hands up to stop them and then point to the bedroom door. They swing the door open and see what has made me so angry. There is Sadie naked in our bed. She has covered herself since David and I walked in on her, but she has not attempted to move. Her nasty naked ass is on the sheets I ordered for our bed. This b***h just ruined my whole day!

“Handle this!” I say to the twins grabbing David’s arm and walking away

“I misunderstood what she meant. She wouldn’t do that. f*****g idiots” I mumble as we walk to my original guest room

Anthony’s POV

How can we be so wrong. We have known Sadie since we did leadership training at 17. It was a training camp for ranked members children to prepare them for leading the pack. We got along well and kept in touch afterwards. We were closer to their older brothers who also attended. We would hang out every once in awhile but that was all. I will admit Antoine and I did f**k Sadie a couple times, but it was only s*x and she knew that. Why is she doing this. I believed we were just friends and didn’t believe Desiree when she told us what Sadie said and now, she is naked in our bed. Desiree will never forgive us

“Sadie, what the f**k are you doing in here” Antoine yells

“We always hook up when I pass through. Why are you acting surprised?” she responds

“We have a mate now. You know this. Why would you think we would still have s*x with you?” he asks

“She is a human she probably doesn’t even feel the bond. We don’t have to stop having fun because of her”

“Are you serious right now?” he asks surprised by her response

“She is not good enough for you anyway. You are the future leaders of one of the biggest and strongest packs in the southeast US. Why would you accept a human mate. She can’t help you lead and build this pack. I am a ranked members daughter; I have been raised to be a Luna. I am a much better choice for you” she says standing up and walking to us naked

“And we know we are compatible sexually. What more do you need?” she says seductively, touching my chest

“Sadie, get dressed and get out. We have a mate and will be with no one else but her” I say

“Are you sure? I am much better than she is?” She says standing up and walking to us seductively and she is still naked

“GET. THE. f**k. OUT” I growl

“It’s late so I won’t kick you off the territory now, but you will leave tomorrow. I can’t believe you did this. We were never an item and for you to disrespect Desiree in this way just shows why you would never be our Luna. You say she is unworthy of us, that is far from the truth; we are unworthy of her. She is perfect in every way. You don’t hold a candle to her. Leave now” Antoine says

Sadie runs out of the room with her robe half covering her naked body. I link an omega to put new sheets on the bed and air out the room. We go to Desiree’s room but it is locked and she doesn’t respond to our knocks or pleas for her to talk to us. We head back to my father’s office. Where he, Uncle Matt, Uncle David, Wesley and David are sitting. We enter get ourselves a drink and tell them what happened

“You guys, okay?” David asks

“Yeah, but how do we fix this with Desiree? We tried to talk to her, but she wouldn’t open the door or respond to us” I ask

“You grovel” dad states

“And you change your ways” Uncle Matt says

“Desiree is not just some girl you f****d. She is your mate. You are treating her like any other female. That’s probably because this is your real first relationship, but you can’t treat her like you do everyone else, she is your mate, your equal” Uncle David says

“We don’t treat her like we do other girls” I say

“Okay, so why did you not believe her when she told you what Sadie said?” Wesley asks

“We have known Sadie for years. I would think we would know if she had plans to take us from Desi” Antoine says

“Really, how would you know?” David asks

“We are alphas we should be able to pick up on these things” Antoine says

“Like you picked up on Tina’s plan for you? It’s obvious you are not aware of everything. This does not make you a bad alpha, it just means you need someone to have your back, ie your Luna” David says

“He’s right boys. It’s not about being an alpha or even a ranked member. Our mate brings something to us to complete us. They catch the stuff we can’t see. They balance us out. And you do the same for her. But the one thing you must have is trust. You didn’t trust what Desiree told you. You questioned her. Why?” dad says

“We trust Desiree”

“So why didn’t you believe what she said about Sadie? Why did you keep the situation with Brenda from her?” Uncle Matt asks

“We didn’t want to hurt her with the Brenda situation and …... s**t I don’t know why we didn’t believe her regarding Sadie” I admit

“Desiree is a strong, capable and caring person. You don’t have to shield her from stuff. She can handle whatever you throw at her. You need to be thankful to the moon goddess that she saw you as capable to be blessed with such a strong woman. You keeping things from her will only make her mad. It will make her think you don’t value her, or you don’t think she is strong enough to handle stuff” Uncle David says

“We know. That’s why we told her about Brenda before anyone else could” I respond

“Did you tell her because you value her as your mate and a capable member of your team, or did you tell her because you knew Belinda would try to tell her and if she found out from Brenda, she would be mad? Because those two reasons hold different value”

“What difference does it make?” Antoine questions

“If you did it because she is your mate and you trust her to support you and be there for you, you are then seeing her as someone with value and who is capable to be with you. If you did it so she doesn’t get mad, you did it so you wouldn’t be in trouble. You did it for yourself, not for her” he explains

“Why didn’t you believe her about Sadie?” dad questions

“I don’t know” I say

“Could it be you don’t want to admit that you are causing more trouble for her? Or you are finally seeing what we have been trying to tell you about having s*x with anyone and everyone and how it would come back and bite you in the ass?” he comments

“It’s possible. One thing she said when we told her about Brenda was, when is you and your d**k going to stop causing trouble. Since we met, we just keep causing her trouble. Why do we keep f*****g up with her?” Antoine says exasperated, putting his head in his hands

“I have a question for you? Why do you think Desiree is upset with you right now?” David asks

“Because Sadie is here trying to take her position” I answer

“You guys are stupid” Wesley comments while shaking his head

“What?” I ask

“Do you see Desiree as a person who cares about rank?” he questions

“Everyone wants to move up or be a ranked member, right?” I answer

“Forget it, you are not stupid. You are f*****g idiots”

“Watch yourself Wes” I growl

“This is why you are in the situation you are in. Like Dad said, you are treating her like all these other whores. Desiree is your mate. She would be with you if you were an omega. She loves you for you not what you can give her or the status you hold. You are so used to women only being with you to be Luna. You have one who doesn’t care, and you don’t know what to do. Desiree is upset because Sadie felt herself bold enough to come to her pack and flat out tells her she is not good enough for you and she will be taking you from her. That’s why she is mad at Sadie. She is mad at you because you did nothing about it. And when she told you, you brushed it off like it was nothing and told her she misunderstood. You did not take her seriously; you didn’t trust her and you didn’t value her. She is not mad at you because of Sadie, she is mad at you because of your actions” he explains

“And if you don’t start seeing her as the capable and valued person she is. She will leave you” David says

“How do we….”

“What is the role of a mate?” dad asks

“To love, cherish, protect, support and care for your mate” Antoine says

“Add trust and respect to that list and that is how” he says

Antoine and I look at each other and leave the office. We go back to Desiree’s room and knock. Calling her to talk to us. She still refuses. But we refuse to give up
