Chapter 44

Antoines’ POV

Thanks to Desiree’s plan, we were able to capture all the rogues, and no pack members were hurt. That is a big win/win for us. We head to the interrogation room after the team has placed the rogues in the dungeon. We are discussing the fact that they came for Desiree when Ian comes in; he is a friend and our lead warrior. We have been discussing making him our Delta.

“Alpha’s, Luna, we retrieved these from some of the rogues. They seem to have been recording the incident for someone. We turned them off and ended the recording”

He places 8 cameras on the table. Leticia picks one up and starts taking it apart

“Great, they have SD cards in them. Whoever sent them probably had a wireless live feed they watched, but the devices also saved the information to the SD card. Maybe we can see what happened before they came to Crescent Lake”

“Wonderful, we’ll look at it after we talk to a few of them. Let’s bring in their leader” I say

“They are all still sleeping” Ian replies

“Just throw a bucket of water on them, it will wake them up” Sharon says

Ian leaves and comes back with the one who did all the talking at the border

“f**k you all. I’m not telling you anything.” He yells, coming into the room

“You b***h! What did you do to us? I will kill you” he screams looking at Desiree

We rise to attack him for calling Desiree a b***h. She puts her hands over mine and Anthony’s and we both sit back down in the seats next to her. The rogue continues to scream, and she just sits there calmly. After a while, he stops when he realizes his actions are not producing any results

“Are you done? Can we begin now?” she says calmly

“So, you’re the HBIC? You might as well kill me because I’m not telling you anything”

“Okay, but I am going to ask a few questions anyway. Who is your master? What species is he? Where is your base location? Do you drive to and from this location? Are there other species there besides werewolves? How many rogues work for him? Why did he send you here? Are all the rogues here of their own choice?” Desiree ask, pausing between each question.

“I’m not talking,” he growls

“Okay. Ian take him back and put him in a cell separate from the others. Wake the others and bring me the one named Walter”

The rogue stares at Desiree wide-eyed after she mentioned the name of the other rogue. He starts screaming again as he was dragged from the room

“Desi, tell us what’s going on. He didn’t even say anything. And who is Walter?” Anthony says

“I read his thoughts while he was screaming and even though he refused to answer my questions, the mind automatically thinks of responses. So, he does not know the name of his master, he is a warlock, they live in a castle, but they don’t know where, because it is spelled. They don’t portal so their means of transportation is a car, and they traveled for about 4 hours, so they are no more than 4 hours from the pack. All the rogues are here voluntarily, but most are here because they need the money. There is a mix of werewolves, warlocks and witches. They are here to get information on the power you guys have here. And Walter is the tech guy who was in control of the cameras”, she says

A minute later, a wet Walter is dragged in screaming

“Get the f**k off me. I’m not saying anything to you bastards” he screams as he is handcuffed to the chair and desk

“You f*****g b***h get your hands off of my cameras” he screams at Leticia

“Walter, did the cameras show a live feed in addition to being saved on the SD card?” Leticia asks. He stops screaming and stares at her

“Why sexy? You want to put on a show? You want to record me f*****g your mouth? You have such pretty lips. I would love to see your lips wrapped around my d**k”

That’s the last thing Walter gets out of his mouth as Wesley dives across the table and beats the s**t out of him. He’s lying unconscious once the guys can pull a bloody Wesley off of Walter

“Good thing we got our answer before Wesley beat the s**t out of him. Yes, there was a live feed, so Leti you should be able to locate the IP address”. I smiled

“That is enough for today. We need to meet with our parents in 20 minutes anyway and Wes needs to shower. Put Walter back in the cell. Ian make sure the cameras in the cells are on, I want to capture anything these guys decide to chat about”. I say

We all head back to the packhouse with plans to meet in the office in 20 minutes.
