Chapter 13

Tina’s POV

I put the potion in two glasses and gave it to Anthony and Antoine. Anthony drinks his quickly, but Antoine sips it.

“You don’t like it?” I asked him.

“It’s a little too sweet for my taste. But I see Anthony likes it”, Antoine states.

Before I can comment, they get a mind link and leave to see their father. I follow them to where their father is, and the stupid human Desiree is there too. She is always in the middle of stuff. Now she is affecting my plans. For the binding spell to work, they need to be around me, smell me, hear me, stuff like that. The potion to stop them recognizing their mate tomorrow will still work and that’s one good thing. The binding has been working on Anthony, but I have to bind with Antoine too, or he won’t accept me as a chosen mate. I watched them all head to the pack house and up to the Alpha’s office. I follow them to listen outside the office when Beta Matthew spots me.

“What are you doing Tina?”

“Nothing, Beta Matthew. Just waiting for Anthony and Antoine” I replied.

“They are in a meeting. You can wait for them outside” he states. Watching me leave the house

FFUUCCKK!!! I yell to myself.

“I told you this wouldn’t work”, Clover says.

“Shut up you stupid wolf. It will work. We will be the Luna. Don’t you want that?”

“I want my mate, no matter who he is, not a title”. Clover responds

“I don’t care about our fated mate. I want to be Luna of the Crescent Moon pack and I will reject our mate to get that title” I yell. She whines and goes to the back of my mind.

“I have to make this work” I said.

Antoine’s POV

We walk out the office after the revelation that this b***h is using magic on us. My poor brother looks so lost. Now he has a luna command on him. I’ll have to stay close to him and protect him from her. We walk down the packhouse stairs and Tina is there.

“Hey Tina. Everything okay?” I asked.

“Yeah, I was just waiting for you guys. Did you finish your drink?” She asks sweetly

“Yeah, we drank it during the meeting with my dad. You wanna head back to the party”, I asked, putting my arm out for her to take. Anthony does the same.

She smiles like she won the lottery. Puts her hand through both our arms, and we walk back to the party. She offers us another cocktail, but we refuse.

“Why don’t you want another one? You didn’t like it?” she whines.

“I think we’ve had enough alcohol for the night. It’s getting late, and we have to be up early tomorrow. We have a lot of work to do before the ball. I’m good with my water”, I told her.

“What about you Anthony? Do you want another cocktail?” she asks

“No, I have had enough tonight” he says.

“Let’s just sit and talk” I suggested.

We sit and keep her busy for another hour. It doesn’t take much. Tina loves talking about herself. She doesn’t even notice you are not involved in the conversation. A well-placed nod or really and you are set. I get a link from my mother that the task is done, and we walk her home.

“We’ll see you at the ball tomorrow night” I said, and we both leave her at her front door.

We walk back to the packhouse, and I link my dad.

“Dad, where are you? Were they able to find anything in Tina’s house?”

“We’re in our room. We have the actual potion. They found it in a secret hole in the back of her closet. You guys go to bed. We’ll talk more in the morning” Dad links back

We head to our rooms. I really hope this b***h didn’t stop us from getting our mate.

Desiree’s POV

The ball is tonight, and I do hope I find my mate. The idea of finding someone who is dedicated to you sounds like a dream. I have limited dating experience and the few boyfriends I have had have been disasters. Maybe having a mate picked by the goddess will yield better results than the guys I picked for myself. I would like someone who wants me for me; quirky, nerdy, hybrid, me. I like being in a pack. It is more of a family feeling than the coven. The coven felt like people who just so happened to live in the same area, it was not as friendly. Aunt Susan did say the previous coven leader was strict, and she had been trying to make it a more homely type of place.

I can’t wait to get dressed tonight. I take my dress out and hang it up to let any wrinkles fall. We will get a quick breakfast and then greet the remaining packs. They should all be here by lunchtime. Leticia, Sharon, Claudia and I are to meet the Luna and grandma around 4pm to dress. They have someone coming for hair, nails and make-up. I throw on a simple dress and meet the girls in the dining room. Tina is at the buffet table, so I asked Claudia to get me a breakfast sandwich. I am not putting myself in her line of fire today. We ate and went to meet Luna Belinda. Around 10am we get the link that guests are starting to show up.

As we wait outside, a black Jeep followed by an SUV pulls up. A tall muscular man emerged from the Jeep. He’s about 6ft with brown hair and olive-colored skin. He is Alpha Kane from the Bloodmoon pack. He has about 5 people with him. I looked at him and see his eyes. They are my eyes. Is he related to the man who kidnapped my mother? That is the pack she mentioned, but she said he was Alpha Nicholas, but he also never talked to her. I think this guy is too young to be him. I am scared and nervous. My body has failed me because I am stuck in this spot. What if they try and hurt me? They won’t, they can’t; I have the pack, my grandparents, my friends and my magic. I am not weak. I will be okay.

Alpha Kane introduces himself and his ranked member to Luna Belinda. He looks behind her and walks up to me.

“Hello. I am Alpha Kane of Bloodmoon. And you are?”

“D..D..Desiree” I stutter

“Are you part of this pack, Desiree” he questions.

“For now. I am a guest of the alpha and luna”. I find my voice and refuse to cower

“You are human?”

“Yes, I am”

“You have pretty eyes.”

“Thank you”

“Maybe we can talk again soon Desiree,”

He and his men then walk away, following Sharon to their rooms. I breathe out the breath I have been holding. I will be okay. Luna Belinda looks at me questioning, and I tell her I’ll explain later. Then another 3 SUV’s pull up. Out steps the most gorgeous man I have ever seen. He’s tall; about 6ft 3in, blond hair, light blue eyes. He is muscular but not as much as the twins. He is built like a swimmer, and the Stone brothers have lots of muscles. He smells so good. He steps to Luna Belinda and introduces himself as Alpha Teddy from the Eclipsed Moon pack. He then lifts his head and stares right at me. He walked past her and right up to me.

Celestia screams MATE in my head

“Hello MATE. My name is Teddy. What’s your name?”
