Chapter 11 Birthdays

Finally my 21ste Birthday has arrived and I sure do feel wonderful  as if I have been dormant all my life and just woke up . Today the masquerade Ball will be held and it is a day full of pampering and getting ready to dance the night away and my soon to be husband will also attend  and this could be interesting seeing that I have no idea what he even looks like, but mother said she will make sure he knows who I am , just to make sure he doesn't make a fool of me or himself but that is just mother always in control of everything . All the Kingdoms were invited and there was a treaty signed that all will be on their best behavior and believe it or not a ball like this was held in the past when Erick was 21 years of age and all went well despite the different  kingdoms . Erick and Margaret returned last night from a long honeymoon and now mother is patiently waiting from them saying they are expecting , but I believe it's to soon ,but mother knows best so good luck to them. Today is such a clear sunny day and as I get out from my bathroom mother and my lady in waiting storms into my room looking and sounding all chirpy and as much as I love mother she can sometimes be to over the top but I will give her this day because that's just what mothers do I guess .   

"Morning love , Happy birthday my dear daughter , I can't believe your all grown up and into the most gorgeous woman", she says starting to cry as she hugs me .I hug her back knowing that she is just overjoyed for me but also a little afraid ."Thank you mother ". "This is for you", she says while handing me a present in a pretty box .As I open it ,it's a stunning gold bracelet with four charms , on is a unicorn with diamonds eyes ,then there is a sun and moon ,also a heart and the last one a cherry tree with pink little diamonds making it the best gift ever. "Thank you mother it's so pretty , I love it ". After the gift giving mother and me went to get breakfast and as I came in the dining room everyone including Eric and Margaret was there and singing happy birthday to me making me blush and cry at the same time , then The cake , it was so pretty it was a normal one layer cake all in white with cherry's on the top knowing I would love it I blew out the candle making my wish . My wish was simple, I only wanted to fall in love ,knowing it will not happen I still made my wish just so my family would see me happy ,I was happy but I knew soon I will leave them and that made me cry but father hugged me saying in my ear "I love you and I know everything will be just fine, enjoy today and forget about the rest and remember you are special Anna , soon you will see it my child. now smile and enjoy ok?" father says kissing me on the cheek letting me greet my brother and his wife.

" It seems you are all grown up sister, happy birthday" Erick kisses me also holding my hand to Margaret, she hugs me and I just hug her back seeing she was always my best friend and now finally my sister also ."You look stunning <you look all grown up and you look so, I don't know glowing !? Happy birthday Anna, this is from us , go on open it " Margaret says looking all happy. The box is big and as I open it, it is a frame of me and them sitting under a cherry tree eating cake, this is the best memory and it made me smile and cry ,'thanx you are the best I love it "I say, Margret hugs me again saying that it is to put up in my new home to remember our good times and this is the best ever so I hug her back but mother take us apart smiling saying we should eat and that sounded like a good plan.

Mother knew how much I loved baked goods and she went all out with our cooks to prepare the best croutons and delectable tarts for breakfast , It was a great meal ,as we were sitting at the table ones again as a family and I knew it will not be long before I leave them so for now I just enjoy it taking it all in.

Waking up early this morning was not because I'm a early bird, no it is because tonight is my lovely mate's birthday Ball and today she turned 21 , that means she will know if he has any powers inherited from her father or mother, witch can be a great thing and even if she doesn't possess any powers she will still be fascinating and beautiful to me in  every way. Today I'll be wearing a mask  and after talking to her mother I thought of it as a good plan to just wear a black suit and a black mask with a hint of blue in and coming my hair back so anna won't recognize me right away and hopefully not at all I need for her to meet me when she visits my palace next week and to tell her everything about me , just not tonight , i want her to have fun not worry about us .My heart is pounding in my chest and just thinking about seeing her again makes me happy , and to Josef that is so good to see me smiling because overall I am not easily liked but now I want to be a better man , Anna deserves it and i will do anything to make her happy. Me and Josef were ready at the same time and Jo made sure we looked accordingly , it is a Ball after all and all will be attending and I need to looks very handsome for my Queen .
