CHAPTER 23: Locking the door. The sound of keys jingling wakes me up, my eyes open just as a policeman unlocks the cell. "You can go now, let's go." I get up from Creighton's chest, he has his head resting uncomfortably on the chair behind him and groans in pain as he cranes his neck. "What's wrong?" He asks. "We can go now" I repeat what the policeman told me. When we leave the cell, we are handed our phones, IDs and the keys to Creigh's car that were confiscated before we were brought to the police station. Creighton receives everything in silence, his body is tense and the expression on his face is also tense. I suspect why.
