Chapter 8

2006 Words

“Sanna, am sorry calling you on working hours. I just received a letter that has been sent to Jessey from Tick-Tack Bank and I am afraid I might lose my home.” “Did he take a loan from the Bank?” “Yes, he took a one million dollar loan from Tick-Tack.” “Okay, take David to my wife and come to my office in Banjul. We need to see the General Manager of Tick-Tack Bank. I know him very well and he is a cool fellow.” Mayuka took her son to Aisha and hired a taxi. She was driven directly to the Root Bank within the space of twenty-five minutes. The traffic was less busy at that late morning. There was a tied security at the entrance of the bank and Mayuka had forgotten her Kenyan National ID card. The security officers had no compromise and she took her cell phone and called Sanna.
