Six years ago, I took a hard-to-make decision of leaving you in an orphanage because I didn’t want you to go through the path of poverty that I bitterly experienced. Your education matters to me more than anything you would imagine and I’m sure you’ll be well educated at the SOS Children’s Village. Your father was a very rich man and he had always talked about giving you the highest level of education before his death. I could not see you live a life that neither your dad nor I have dreamed for you. That is one reason why I thought I had to leave you in The Gambia.
