I walked towards the Willow Tree and saw Aidan waiting on me, he let Kiev out who hugged me and said, "You snake, you could have let us know you were the one in the link." I replied, "And you should have let it be known you were back reincarnated into Aidan," we laughed and sat leaning on the tree talking about old times. I told him about his former best friend and the torture he was going through, he also told me that his powers would continue to grow for a while and I smiled asking about the Academy. He said, "My wife heads the school and your son will be safe there, I promise you that if someone tries to harm him, it will be dealt with, swiftly," before he left. It will be a while before he goes there but I wanted to be sure, I saw the treaty appear in my hand when he linked me, "Sign it and let your demons free."

Four Years Later

Connie became my mistress and our son was being taught the way of the Underworld in private, we have a daughter now and Connie was going back to the surface to finalize moving here. I couldn't mate her but our children are legitimized, Connor will take my place when I step down. I do not have elders anymore and Balthazar is my advisor so it was easy to do. Cara is turning four soon and as far as everyone knows, Connor and Cara are my siblings from my parents, only those close to us knew the truth. I was in a meeting when I felt pain, it was Connie and Deon looked at me because Doni was supposed to be guarding her and we wrapped there to see Connie dead on the floor and Doni unconscious with a lot of dead rogues lying around, he defended her but someone was strong enough to put a Dark Angel down temporarily.

Devon wasted no time in getting his brother out of there and I linked my father to get the kids and ensure they were safe. Aidan brought her back and she chose to remain dead to save her kids, she kissed me and said, "Take care of my babies, I will always love them and love you, they won't stop coming after you so if I remain dead until you find them, it will help, I will wait for you," I knew this will be a while before I see her again and Aidan took her with him. I told the kids their mother died and it fueled Connor to work harder to avenge her but I would tell him the truth in due time. I returned to find out what happened and Doni was poisoned, it wouldn't kill him but he wasn't able to save, Connie, he knelt asking my forgiveness because he thought he had failed me, Doni was loyal to the end so I told him to rest. Balthazar asked, "Are you going to tell him Connie lived?" I nodded and said, "Let the kid grovel for a while and find out who poisoned him in my camp," Devon smiled saying, "Not cool, Sammy."

I visited my father in prison and it didn't go so well, somewhere along the line he pissed off Michael. I knew that would eventually happen as he had been a thorn in Michael's side for way too long. I visited Michael but wasn't allowed to go near his magical cocoon, he would have killed me and I felt so sorry for him and his family. He had found love with Emerie, she was everything in a mate he could ask for and I was happy for him because I couldn't give him what he wanted. My father had me bound to him in a way that I could not defy him anymore, I loved Michael so much and I will forever regret not running away with him. I didn't want this or want to hurt Cayden, and although I loved Cayden, it was nothing compared to what I had with Michael. My father didn't care what I did, he was never proud of me, I tried to prove myself to him for years and he was never satisfied.

He slapped me in my face on more than one occasion when I tried to reason with him and I refused to tell him about the baby for its safety, I lost Michael's daughter and I refused to let go of another child. I had just woken up with Cayden next to me, his eyes were glowing like he was mind-linking someone. I kissed his cheek and he held my hand and said, "Good Morning, Katy, how did you sleep?" I looked at him and smiled, saying, "Peaceful," before he got up and said, "We need to talk, what are you not telling me, Katy?" I looked at him and said," I need to tell you something and I hope you are not mad," he looked at me for me to go on and I blurted out, "I am having your child." Cayden smiled kissed my forehead and said, "Get dressed, we have court for your father," I was surprised and ran to the bathroom but felt a bit disappointed he wasn't more excited about my pregnancy.

I was keeping the pregnancy from him in fear of what he was going to think, he was pulling away from me, I wasn't blind, and his love for Allison was growing, I had already lost but my father wouldn't stop pushing. I lost everything because of my father, my daughter, Michael, and now, I am losing Cayden but I would be damned if I lose this baby. I was in the courtroom sitting next to Cayden as I was going to be his Queen, I rubbed my belly and smiled at myself as I was carrying the future King or Queen, his heir to the throne. The coronation will be in a few weeks before I start showing, "I really want to look great in my wedding dress," I thought. I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard the door open and saw my father, Cayden squeezed my hand before smiling and I knew he was finally releasing my father, but Michael was giving off an angry aura.

I looked at my father and gave him a reassuring smile before Cayden looked at him and said, "Rise, now tell me why did you kidnap the princess?" I froze in shock as I knew he had a plan to force the coronation, but there was no way he had this in mind, no, he wouldn't be this stupid, but he was power-hungry. This had to be a mistake, I usually was in on or knew about his scheming, but why wasn't I informed this was on the table? I would have tried to stop him, but I foolishly handed Cayden a letter my father handed me about the kidnapped princess, thinking he had just received it. He even told me to give it to Cayden without implicating myself. His words, "Hand this to Cayden, but make it seem like it was left there," I didn't ask any questions. "Oh my god, they are going to kill me," I hugged my belly thinking about my baby.

I tried to hide my nervousness and looked at Michael, who smirked at me, he hated me for rejecting him all those years ago and this was his revenge for hurting him. I couldn't move as I started to think of the things I would never get to do with this baby, my life was doomed from the start, I knew that now. I was led back to my quarters unsure of what to do after I fainted, I wanted to come clean but Michael would still have my head, I thought about all the times I betrayed him and now it is catching up to me. I tried to think of a way to tell Cayden the truth but I was so scared and fell asleep. I don't usually dream but I saw a man sitting by a lake of fire holding out his hand to me, he called to me, 'My love' I jumped up in a cold sweat to see Cayden looking at me and smiling saying, "Nightmares love," he looked furious, I knew I would be killed but my mind drifted back to why the man in my dream look so real.
