Chapter 18: Roman's Demise

Samuel
I knew it would be a bad day for Roman, the war was happening and I had to keep my men from joining, they wanted out but I hadn't met with the Supremes. My men could feel the souls dropping in, Haru and his brothers were getting all the cells ready, and we had a special prisoner joining us soon but I had other matters to attend to. I gave Balthazar and Sol instructions to keep out of their way and let the boys have their revenge. I am planning to meet with Kiev once this war is over, I couldn't believe the brothers are back and merged into one, Selene wasn't playing this time around. I should have met them a long time ago but got distracted with my life, I was still trying to find my mate but with everything moving so fast, I had to wait as I headed over to Connie's new apartment.
I was about to put my son Connor to sleep after I visited Connie, she had my son a few months back and I had to track her down because she never told me. She wanted a different life for Connor and I agreed to stay away until he was old enough because he would start to get his powers at fifteen. I got a link from my sister, Dawnique, because I left her in charge in my absence, she let me know about the Supremes being in battle and I headed over there in disguise to see my old friends shut s**t down. Normally, my demons are not allowed to be in Ravena's matters, an old treaty of long ago that never expires, only updates and since the boys are back, it's time for an update. Kiev still had it in him, he commanded respect without asking and I killed a few rogues who took it upon themselves to attack although I was not really into fighting.
I kept focus on the brothers, Rusev was still ruthless in his killings, and Klaus, the saner one until you pissed him off, then there is Davien, the trickster when it comes to magic, "Oh, how I missed the rascals," I thought. After Roman's death, Balthazar appeared and I said, "Go get our prisoner," Roman tried to run after seeing his body burning because he recognized Balthazar. I love it when the wicked try to run from us, all my other prison guards show up to collect, the living won't see it happen as the screams of them being dragged to the underworld were painful, the look on their faces when realizing where they were going. Devon showed up and smiled saying, "You love having all the fun," I turned to him saying, "We will meet the new leaders soon enough, go help Balthazar track down the fugitive, he is on the run, he is our prized possession and a favor to someone special," he bowed before taking to the skies.
I watched King Aidan announce his return and that the Supremes were back in power, I knelt with the others because their pull was strong as they released their aura on us. I headed back to the Underworld as we had a lot of prisoners who would be admitted today, Dawn looked at me and asked, "Did you see that asshole?" I replied with a smirk on my face, "Yes, why are you still sleeping with him again?" She looked at me saying, "He is good in bed, keeping me satisfied," winking her eyes at me and I blocked my ears saying, "I don't need to hear that," kissing her cheek. I loved my sister but she was feisty and the only one who risked putting me in my place when it was called for. I sat down on my throne when she asked, "How is my nephew?" I said, "Adorable, he will be with us in due time," before she left to do what she does best, be a boss.

A Few Hours Later
I went over to the cells as I was told my precious cargo had arrived, I smiled knowing this would be fun for us all, Devon had a cut on his torso that was healing. I asked, "What happened pretty boy?" He said, "The son-of-b***h cut me trying to cheat death but he is no match for me in his spirit form." I raised my eyebrow and said, "Only in spirit form," he groaned and said, "f**k off, Sam, he was no match for me period," we started laughing. Lylac ran into the room hugging him saying, "Baby, are you okay?" We barely spoke since the break-up and I left them alone. I walked over to the cell and Roman looked at me, he said, "Get me out of here," the twins started laughing behind me. I nodded for Haru to open the door, walked up to him, and said, "You have no power here, you are dead and your physical form is no more."
Roman looked confused, that's because of the way he died, it will jumble his mind down here because he is here for eternity or if the Moon Goddess says otherwise. We have a working relationship from the dawn of time on who stays and who is reincarnated after doing a little time for their bad deeds. I saw he had a few gashes from his fight with Devon and I smiled because Balthazar let Devon play a little after losing his life to his best friends, I explained that he was dead because he was acting like he was still alive. He was shocked and demanded that I send him back, I laughed at that one and told him, "Your body is ash, Roman, there is no way for you to return to the land of the living," I turned to walk out with him yelling at me, "Let me go, I am not finished with them." I nodded for Deon to get to work and heard the screams of him being led to torture.

Devon
I saw Balthazar running behind a very fast Roman, the ground opened up trying to get him to fall in, he dodged the openings but he was not getting away from us. I was above looking at all the souls being rounded up everywhere, but our priority was Roman, he needed to be gone, I landed in front of him freezing him where he stood. Balthazar stopped behind him, leaned on a tree laughing, and said, "I haven't worked like that in forever." He was right, we always did the hard work as we circled Roman, his vampire was with us but his wolf went back to the Moon Goddess. The one thing she requested, I guess Troy will be reincarnated after being disciplined but it will be a long time from now. He hissed at us and I asked, "What is your name, cold one?" He said, "Aamir," I smiled as Balthazar grabbed him and Roman pushed him off heading towards me, and we started fighting.
Roman wanted another fight so I gave it to him, he said, "No swords and just you," Balthazar raised his hands in th air and backed off so we could do it alone. The cries of the dead were dying down as they were dragged to the Underworld by our armies, he was trying to cheat death but his body was being burnt as we speak. There was no way out of this and he had to know he was going to end up in the pits of Mount Doom, he played the game and lost. His allies would be happy to see him before they are reincarnated at a later date, I blocked his hits, he was fast and so was I. A few guards showed up for the show cheering me on, we always liked a good show and my brothers were circling us ready to open the gate back to the Underworld. I saw the fear in his eyes, he knew this was it for him but I always say, if you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
The fight lasted ten minutes, he was able to cut me with a silver object, which was a first and I was done playing games with him before two guards cuffed him and dragged him down below to his cell. Balthazar made sure everyone was accounted for as I went to my locker room to clean up. Lylac linked me and I told her what happened before Samuel ended up in the room and we had a little banter. He was happy we did the job quickly when Lylac ran past him hugging me worried about my well-being, I kissed her as Samuel left. I knew they had a history but warned her not to be rude to him, Doni walked in and said, "Get a room dude," as we were kissing heavily as I grabbed her ass. I looked at him and said, "Maybe, find a girlfriend or boyfriend, it doesn't matter, you will understand why I can't keep my hands off her," kissing her again before we laughed. He shook his head and rolled his eyes at what I said, hugged Lylac before heading out to meet Samuel at the cells, my brothers had been protective of her since we started dating.
