It has been three weeks and I have finally found all the ingredients to put Anuba down for good, succubi had been extinct for a few centuries and there was a reason for that. The bloodline had been mixed with other species and others had that side of them bound until death. Sheila was part of me and a strong demon although she has a strong witch side from her mother's side of the family, I screwed up with Sonia which help planted the seed for Sheila to be taken over which resulted in my younger daughter's death. I hate myself for failing, Sheila, she was doing so well after the first few years with us until Anuba merged with her and we never realized it. Maybe we could have nipped it in the beginning if I had paid more attention to her and now I am going to lose her too. In a sense I already lost her, I have been mourning her loss ever since it was made clear they were going to kill my daughter and I'm so sorry, Sonia, I failed.

I had visited her a few times under supervision and Anuba won't let her go so I could say goodbye, Sheila has been dormant now and it is only a matter of time before she dies. I didn't get to say goodbye to Sonia and now I won't get to say goodbye to Sheila, what can I say, I loved all my children, and wished I could do more as I handed the ingredients to Toffe and he allowed me to see her for the last as Michael escorted me. I reached her cell and she was staring at the wall, her eyes were the darkest pools of black and she looked at me and asked, "Where is Ty?" I said, "With his family," she said, "Oh, such a family man, I chose well," I laughed, looked at her in disgust walked over to her prison, and said, "He is going to kill you, can I speak with my daughter, please?" She said, "If you asked nicely, I would let you," I said, "Queen Anuba, can I please speak with my daughter?"

She said, "See, that wasn't so hard," and her eyes changed to bright blue, the color I remember, Sheila looked at me and asked, "Dad, where am I?" As she looked at her cell, I felt her fear and confusion, I knew something was wrong, and she pulled the cage door scared saying, "Sorry, I didn't mean to sneak out, is this my punishment, why am I in this cage? I didn't break my promise, I just went to a party with Denise, where is Denise?" Michael linked me and said, "It's happening, we need to move now, she was detaching herself from, Sheila," she has no memories of her life with Anuba and I look at Toffe and Aidan. I looked at them begging for mercy to save Sheila and banish her from the realm instead, I said, "She has no memory," I kneeled, "Please, Your Majesty," before I finally broke down and cried.

Samuel looked at me, his wife had just given birth to his sons but I was a mess because I may lose my daughter, despite everything, I loved her. Anuba was an evil entity that should have been locked up so far from the others deep in the depths of the Underworld but escaped because of a broken seal where she was killed, this time, she was going back with no way out. I would be damn if she took my daughter with her, I realized once everything started, they were trying to save her so I waited and helped the best way I could. I didn't know what to expect as I stood watching everything go down, an explosion blew me back and when the light cleared, Samuel was locking the cell. I rushed over to my baby who was in transformation and the look on Gamma Ty's face was hatred for a mate he didn't want, sacrificing finding his second destined mate to save my daughter, I will be forever grateful. Samuel did what he had to do to get that final ingredient, I hope he can fix his marriage after choosing to help save my daughter, I will help him win his wife back, it's the least I could do.

I headed down to Mount Doom to the deep pits and saw Devon making sure Anuba was sealed completely, with no chance of ever escaping. He looked at me as the symbol appeared on his chest as the gates keeper, anyone not supposed to be down here will notify him, including me. I smiled taking the key with me to be locked away in a safe unknown location that only I and Aidan knew about. I took a shower and I ate dinner but I wanted to see my wife who was spending the night in the hospital before she could come home, I went to the nursery to make sure their rooms were ready. I love my sons so much and couldn't wait to have them home, I miss Kaitlyn and felt my mother behind me. She said, "Sammy, I usually don't get involved with these types of matters but you aren't saying anything or Kaitlyn, what happened between you two? You haven't been mated that long for a separation like this," I smiled and closed my eyes taking in a deep breath, I had to tell her what I did.

Flashback

I was going to give the ingredients for the spell to separate Sheila from Anuba in case we need it, I wanted to help Marlon because Ty was hell-bent on killing his daughter. I needed to find a way to get her back in her cell while they were still looking for her and since time moves differently here, we didn't have much time to figure this out. I knew something was missing about the past, something that we overlooked, and when I found it, I sighed. We needed the blood of her descendent to use to lock her away and I notified Marion about it, however, there was no writing of if she ever had a child so we had to dig, Balthazar was famous for this so I sent him to figure it out. Diana was back home and we had a lunch date, I told her about my mating as she missed the first one, she had been living in human territory for a long time doing business although disappointed I never considered her to mate because we had a history.

I had a brief fling with Diana while I was seeing Claire before we became a thing, or as they say, made it official, Diana was sexy and intelligent, always going after what she wanted and getting it. I remember before she left to do business, she made it clear she loved me and I knew she did but we weren't meant to be, we had fun times. Looking back, Claire's mother probably set it up with my father so Claire would be the only one in my life, at the time. A few days later, Balthazar put the pieces together, Diana was Anuba's only great-granddaughter and we needed her blood and family heirloom to use as the key to lock the cell. I decided to take Diana out on a date to get the information I needed, she told me about her family history, I questioned her but she felt uneasy and changed the subject. Balthazar tried to find something to use, but nothing, and then I saw her perfect ancient necklace, I knew that was the key.

We kissed ending the night and I headed back to Balthy and Devon, they looked at me when he said, "We got a problem, we won't be able to get her blood. Anuba made it that way before she was locked up, you will have to draw it from her unknown, but she needs to be weakened." I said, "Easy, send Deon to retrieve it," he said, "If she feels threatened it won't work, we would have to let Toffe kill her to get her blood, and knowing how angry those brothers are, they won't bring her back." I said, "I won't kill, Diana, it's not her fault," Batlthy said, "Succubi are weakened during s*x, Samuel, that's why they feed during that time and it's easier to get the blood, I could get Deon to try to seduce her but she trusts you." I said, "We don't have the time, and succubi are only weakened if they don't want to kill you during s*x but stronger if they plan to kill you, she will see right through, Deon."

I closed my eyes and said, "I will get her to trust me and give me it willingly, I can't cheat on my wife," we thought there weren't any succubi from her bloodline left and that's when the hang-outs started. Sheila had everyone on edge and after that meeting with Ty and Toffe, we needed to do this, I underestimated Diana, she found out what I wanted and was hurt because I was using her. She offered to give me the blood if I slept with her but I wasn't going to do that. I had been in the office all morning after the date last night wondering what to do because she was pissed, I heard my secretary tell me about Diana's visit so I let her in and she looked at me disappointed. I called off Deon from telling, Toffe, I was going to have to let them kill her, she asked, "What will it be, Samuel? One time and you can have the blood and I will throw in the necklace," she was angry and I smiled, she read my mind during the kiss, I was right.

She said, "After today, never contact me and I will go back to the human world free of my family's heritage," I agreed, she meant it. She knew I was going to let the Supremes kill her and walked over to me, pull me in for a kiss, I picked her up and walked over to the couch placing her on it, I told my secretary, "No one and I mean no one is to be enter the office." I hated doing this but I made sure my wife won't feel my infidelity on my end. Mom looked at me with shock and said, "Samy, I taught you better than this, was there no other way?" I said, "In the beginning, no, unless I was going to kill her, however, that day, I didn't think I have to since she already had a vile of her blood in her bag, but I didn't know it and she said it had to be done, I felt obligated to do as she asked because I lied to her too and was going to have her killed, I loved Diana once but after she knew I was willing to kill her for her blood because of her ancestor, she won't forgive me either." She was angry that day, I broke both their trust but my priority at the time was finding a good way to save Marlon's daughter and kill Anuba. I hate myself for hurting Kate, Mom, and I don't know how to fix it," she hugged me and said, "Be a loving father to those boys, try to build your friendship again, trust will take time." I knew she was right, she left and I decided to spend the night with my family and headed to the hospital.
