Emily wasn't sure that it was the right way but she didn't want to waste her breath when she could be laying on the bed with Pride and Prejudice copy than picking up some brat she didn't even know or remember.
Tapping her fingers across the steering wheel as Ellie Goulding voice accord echoed around the car she could see a white Porsche. She rolled her eyes already imagining some rich Alpha with the most snobby looking face and expensive clothes to go along with his shitty personality. She wasn't usually the judgest person but she was.
As soon as she neared the fence she sniffed the air around, enjoying the way air was hitting her face. Holding her breath she got out of the car and walked towards the guards.
"Miss Emily" They both bowed down in respect as soon as they noticed her approaching them.
"Kevin, can you please open the barricade? There is a guest waiting outside." She ordered looking at one of the guards who was also her school mate.
"Oh. Is Mr Romano Sr aware of it?" Another one piped from the booth to which she refrained from rolling her eyes.
Ever since it was declared that Edward and Ethan were the new pack Alphas everyone started addressing her father as Romano senior. It was funny at first but now just plain annoying.
"Yes. He was the one who sent me. Open it already" She huffed and then walked back to her car and sat inside. She drove out of the fence as the shield was lifted off.
She got out of her car as soon as she was near the Porsche. She noticed that at the same time the Alpha got out of the car as well and it felt as if her entire body was on fire. She staggered back immediately, holding her palm against her neck while whimpering in pain. It was so unfamiliar that she felt as if she couldn't breathe for a while. She managed to keep her eyes open as she stared ahead and that's when everything went loose. She was aware of the amount of slick her body was producing just by staring at those stormy grey eyes.
Something inside her snapped and she automatically gravitated towards the tall, muscular Alpha. Her hands were itching to reach forward and just wrap her hands around the Alpha. Her omega was sniffing around, inhaling his scent as much as she can.
"Mine" A growl escaped from his lips. It made her lift her head and look at him. The omega let out a soft whine as he finally looked at her.
Everything around with them was still for a moment and it felt as if he was the only one that mattered. The Alphas eyes were the most prominent feature that attracted her instantly. With grey stormy eyes and sharp roman nose with his thin pink lips, she was sure that he must be some Calvin Klein model who lost his way.
Emily could easily tell his eyes were darker than before by the way he was clenching his jaw as if trying to control his inner instincts. Without hesitation, she lifted her hand and softly brushed it against his cheek and murmured, "Yours"
They stared at each other for a while, she couldn't believe that she found a mate. It was funny for someone who wasn't looking for and wasn't planning to look for a year. Fate works in mysterious ways and she was living proof for that. She could still feel butterflies in her stomach at the way he was staring at her.
Just then the sound of the acoustic piano version of Love the way you lie snapped her back to reality. With an embarrassing flush on her cheeks, she struggled to find her phone and finally swiped the icon to talk.
"Hello?" She breathlessly croaked trying to sound unaffected
"It's been like 84 years, Emily. Where are you both? Did you at least go to the fence?" Her mom's voice echoed sharply. The omega was offended at that.
"So much trust mom. I am flattered too, be honest."
"Cut that tone. Did you find Zach? Are you fine?"
That's when reality hit her. Her mate was her father's best friend's son, someone she already knew but doesn't remember. Someone she is supposed to spend her life with. How was she going to tell her father? Oh, moons! And her mother? She would definitely freak out and start planning the mating ceremony. And what about her brothers? They always planned on interrogating her mate and teased her several times about it. How were they going to react? She felt the bile rise into her throat while thinking about everything all of a sudden and she wanted to run away.
"Emily? Are you there?" Her mother's concerned voice floated through
"Huh! Yeah...yes...I mean I'll be back. Yeah bye"
She quickly hung up the phone and was dreading to turn around and face the person she was entitled to marry. Taking a deep breath she finally turned around and it felt the breath knock out of her lungs while staring at him. How was he even allowed to walk on the streets looking like that? It was unfair to so many omegas and probably pissed a ton of Alphas with that good looks.
"Umm... Are you by any chance, Zach Moretti? My father's best friend's son?"
The Alpha nodded his head and she found it hard to ignore the way his hair casually brushed against his forehead. It made him look even more attractive as if that was possible. Then he let out a short chuckle the voice so deep that its end shivers down my spine and she had to clench her thighs shut. What was he doing to her?
"Guilty" He grinned while raising his hands and that's the first time she had heard him talk. His voice was so rough yet husky at the same time. She wanted him to talk forever. His voice was so smooth that he would definitely be good at singing soft love songs.
"You must be Emily then?" He said, his voice suddenly nervous. She nodded her head.
"Yeah. Sorry about that fence... The security is much needed." She said lamely while looking at the fence and then back at him.
"No, I get. Those attacks are horrible." Zach had a sympathetic smile on his face.
"Uh... You... I'll lead you the way you can just follow me." She cleared her throat, cursing herself for not being able to form proper sentences. It wasn't her fault though, just her omega reacting to finding her mate.
He stared at her for a few seconds and then looked back at his car. Emily raised her eyebrow. Then he looked past her as if he was judging her car which was a sweet Range Rover so he can suck it.
"My tyre got slashed as I was trying to turn around my car...Umm... Can I get a ride to your house?" He shyly asked and she could see that he was clearly embarrassed to ask that. He was hiding his eyes from her. She didn't like that because he had the most expressive eyes ever. She may be biased about that though.
Her eyes immediately shifted towards his Porsche and she noticed that his two front tyres were horribly slashed. Then she noticed that he had tried to cross the red boundary area and she felt pity for his sleek car.
"Wow... I'm really sorry about that. We purposefully threw in some glasses and sharp objects in there so that the attackers won't be able to cross the boundary." She pointed towards the red line, which was almost invisible and covered by the leaves. Her father was the mastermind who had thought about it and everyone was on board but still the attacks persisted.
"It's really that bad huh!"
"Yeah"
And that was that. He didn't say anything further, waiting for her to say something. She licked her lips as she had only one thing in her mind, his knot. It was pure carnal omega instincts. She was a bit ashamed of that.
"Let's just go," She sighed. She didn't hear him say anything but a low hum. She turned around, aware at his stare following her movement.
As soon as they reached the car she heard his question, "Should I just leave my car here?"
"Don't worry I'll send someone to fix it for you."

As soon as they were sitting inside the room she felt overwhelming. His scent was the only thing she could breathe in and it was so powerful and strong that her omega was whining for his knot.
She adjusted her mirror and turned on the radio to drown her thoughts and be distracted. It was very difficult for her. From the corner of her eyes, she noticed him clench and shift uncomfortably in his seat.
"Zach are you fine?"
He looked at her alarmed, "No...Your slick is driving me crazy. I want to knot you"
She slammed the brakes.
