*ADDIE POV*

"Hello, Alpha Adelina, and Alpha Gunner. My name is Dr. Maurice. I am the clinical obstetrician here at Starry Moon. Luna Rebecca said that you had taken a home test, and it came out positive. Is this correct?" he asked.

I nodded my head and told him that he was correct, and that we just wanted to get some kind of confirmation before we told our family. He said that we could draw some blood to check and make sure that way, but wanted to do a full exam as well.

The nurse came in and took a few vials of blood, and Dr. Maurice felt around my stomach and did some measurements. He did a full exam, and asked us to sit tight until the lab work came back.

We did as he asked, and Alette started to blow my phone up, wanting to know where we were. They were at Jason and Rebecca's and had seen the kids, so they knew we were there.

I just told her that I had an upset stomach and wanted to get checked out. It wasn't a lie, I had been super nauseous the past few days. She seemed to buy it, so I left it at that.

"Are you nervous?" I asked Gunner. He shook his head and said that he wasn't nervous even a little bit. How I wished I had his confidence. I was beyond nervous about having another baby, let alone another possibility of multiples.

"I already know that you are, so I won't ask. However, I will ask why you are so nervous. It's not like we don't already have 5 kids. What's one more?" He asked.

"It's because we have 5 kids, to be honest. What if I end up pregnant with 5 more?" I asked. He gave a chuckle, and was as honest as he could be.

"So what if we do? We will just end up having 5 more little ones to show huge amounts of love to. Five more little lives to mold into amazing individuals, and five more sets of arms to feel those amazing hugs that only your kids can provide. I know you are scared of having multiples again, but baby, there are so many more pros than there are cons," he stated.

I was shocked that he was so alright about the possibility of there being more than one, but when I thought more about it, I shouldn't have been surprised. That man has so much love to give, and he gives in abundance.

Dr. Maurice came back in, and had a huge smile plastered on his face. "Congratulations, Alphas. You are definitely pregnant. I figure you are about 8 weeks by measurements. If you can come back tomorrow, we can do an ultrasound and get a good look at the little one, and hear the heartbeat. Sounds good?" he asked.

"Sounds good, thank you Dr. Maurice. I appreciate all your help today," I said. He asked me to set up a time with the receptionist, and I got dressed to leave.

Before I could leave the clinic completely, a nurse stopped me. "I'm sorry to bother you, Alpha Adelina, but may I have a word with you privately?" she asked.

"Sure, just me, or both of us?" I asked. She looked towards the floor, and asked if it could just be me. I told her that would be fine, and asked Gunner to wait for me.

She led me into an empty exam room, and immediately burst into tears. "Ma'am, are you alright?" I asked. She shook her head and said that she had an issue, but wasn't sure who to talk to. "It's OK, you can talk to me, and I will do my best to help," I told her.

She sat on a chair and continued to sob. "Alpha, there is a situation happening here at the hospital, and I don't know how to say it but to just put it out there. Dr. Maurice is forcefully taking advantage of the younger nurses, and even some of the pregnant pack members who come in to see him. I almost didn't come back here today after what he tried with me yesterday, but I need my job," she cried.

I was appalled by the things she was saying to me, but I could sense she wasn't lying. I wanted her to tell Alette the same thing she just told me, because I would know for certain.

If what she was saying was really true, there was no way he would ever touch me again. I would also see to it that he lost his job and was banished from my uncle's pack.

I asked her if she would mind telling my sister what she had told me, and explained why. She looked fearful, but agreed to come to Silver Howl after her shift was over. I asked her name, and she told me it was Michelle. I thanked her for talking to and trusting me, and she thanked me for listening.

I gave her a sincere hug, and told her I would see her soon. Even though I felt odd about just leaving her at the clinic, she said she would be alright. Dr. Maurice had left for the day, so she just had to finish her rounds before she could leave.

That made me better knowing he was gone, but at the same time, I couldn't help but worry about what he had been doing to the women who came in here to see him for what should be a happy situation.

When Gunner and I left, he asked what happened. I told him that I would explain when we were away from people. He stopped dead in his tracks and refused to budge until I told him. He knew it was serious, and it wasn't going to wait.

"Fine. Let's just say that the friendly doctor gets a little more friendly than he should with his nurses and patients, and let's also say that it's a little more forceful than it should be," I explained the best I could.

The fury in his eyes made it to where he didn't have to express how he felt. He was ready to kill this doctor, and I knew it. That's why I wanted to wait until we were away from people.

I had no other choice but to text my brother for help. If anyone could calm him down, it would be Maddix.

Unfortunately, that didn't stop Maddix from asking a million and one questions about why he was angry. This time I held my ground and told my brother he would have to wait.

Gunner talked to Maddix on the phone and was able to get my mate to go to the main house to talk to him. This was going to be messy, so I decided to talk to Jason and Rebecca when we picked up the kids.

I hated going behind Michelle's back and telling her story without asking, but I had no other choice. I just hoped she understood.

Before I could get fully in the pack house, Rebecca came running up to me. "What the hell is going on, Addie?" she asked. I told her I would tell her when Maddix and Jason were there.

Everyone had finally arrived, and we sat in Jason's office to discuss what I had been told. Jason sat back in his chair and covered his face with his hands. "f**k!" he yelled. "I have had discussions with him before about inappropriate behavior, but I never imagined he would go this far. I will allow Alette to read her to see if she is telling the truth, and if she is, he will be punished to the fullest extent," Jason stated.
