Blood Hollow
*Intro*
"Hello, and welcome to Blood Hollow. My name is Alpha Adelina Vincent, and this is my husband and partner, Alpha Gunner Vincent. We would like to welcome you to our inaugural BBQ and welcoming party. We have had to put it on hold due to our children being born the day before we were supposed to have the ceremony. Please do not hesitate to come and say hello and introduce yourselves. I see a lot of familiar faces, but also some that I haven't met before. Please, help yourself to the food that our dear kitchen Omegas have worked so hard on. Let the Party Begin!" I said as I started the party.
It has only taken us a year to get here, but we have finally gotten the Blood Hollow pack where it was always intended to be.
A lot of hard work, blood, sweat, tears and sacrifice has gone into rebuilding and getting this place back into a proper running pack. My first mate, his father and the alpha before him, really did a number on their pack members and finances. Thankfully, I have a supporting family and a mate to help.
To say we have all been through hell and back to get where we are is an understatement. Starting with our mother and her childhood, to the hell that came down on Blood Moon because of who she was, and then what me and my sisters went through as adults. We were born fighters, and will continue to fight for what's right.
Let me explain a little bit of the history surrounding me and this pack. I was born to the great Alpha twins, Loki and Liam Young of Blood Moon. My mother is the legendary Melian Carter-Young. She was the first wolf/Fae/witch to emerge in over 100 years, and she was given a very special wolf.
She is literally one, if not THE, most powerful people I know of.
I am one of 6 children, and my sisters, Alette, Asteria and I are triplets. Then you have my older brother, and my Beta Phoenix. We share the same dad. He and his mate, Lindy, are expecting my nieces in just a few more weeks. I always thought I loved being a momma, but being an aunt is far superior. I can spoil them and send them home to their parents.
Then there is Maddix, the next oldest. He is technically my mother's nephew, but his parents were bad people, and were killed. He is the current Alpha of Blood Moon, and along with his wife, Riley, they have made all of our packs the safest in probably all the world.
My mother and dads adopted him when he was very young, and I have never really seen him as anything other than my brother. Even when I was forced to make him feel like I did. He has honestly been a rock for all of us. If we need him, there is never any hesitation to be there for whatever is needed of him.
Finally, there's the baby, River. He is co-gamma at my sister Alette's pack, Spirit Mountain. His mate, Caleb, is their gamma. They have 5 amazing kids who I completely adore! His daughter Abby is always wanting to stay with us to help with my little ones, and if I can make it happen, she is there with me.
I can't imagine being a little girl and not having her mother around. My mom was a helicopter mom, and was ALWAYS around. Sometimes to the point where we wished she would back off more than not. To a point, she is still that way, but when we ask her to back off for being too much, she usually does it with little to no fight.
She is a fantastic grandma, and she was just as fantastic as a mom. She can just sometimes be a little too much to handle. No one can ever say that Melian Carter Young wasn't a devoted and passionate mother and grandmother.
I was thankful that her and my dads were here today. They have been in Germany for their retirement with my aunts and uncles, which they deserve, but mom said she had to be here today to celebrate with us.
All the little ones were playing happily in their gated play area, and as I watched my little ones, I remembered clearly the day they were born.
I had met my second chance mate when he came with my brother Maddix for my swearing in ritual. When I realized who he was, I lost my mind. I was so afraid of another mate bond, that I literally ran, leaving him where he stood. I had been burned so badly by my first mate, and wanted to forget mate bonds even existed.
I had prayed so many times for the moon goddess to make sure I stayed alone. However, it turned out that the prayer fell on deaf ears. She sent me Gunner. I didn't know it then, but I very much do now about how much of a blessing he would turn out to be. Not only did he step up as a mate, but as the father my kids deserved.
During our time getting to know one another, my water broke. He helped me every step of the way. He was attentive and caring. He didn't leave my side for one second. It was everything I had ever wanted with Miles, my first mate. Though, it never felt natural with Miles like it does Gunner.
I can remember reciting our oath and vows to be declared Alphas, and then being whisked away, just for the goddess to answer another prayer. My sisters, Alette and Asteria had made it for the birth. I was so surprised to see Asteria, and my heart was overloaded with joy at seeing her.
You see, Asteria and I were mated to the Alpha and Beta of my now pack. Her mate was much more abusive than mine, and it had left her fearful of returning there. I can't say I blamed her. It was hard for me at first too. However, she was there, and that meant more to me than anything she could have ever given me.
Both of my sisters and my amazing new mate stayed by me the whole time. They explained everything to me as it was happening, and gave me words of encouragement every moment they were removing the babies from my womb.
One by one, they would take turns getting each little one from the nurse cleaning them, and would bring them to me so I could see them.
First came Alexander, then Jackson. Next were Lillian and Hunter, and finally my little Gretchen. All five were healthy and beautiful.
When I finally was able to hold them and just be a mother to them finally, I wept. I literally sobbed for hours. It was a happiness I never knew I could have, and I never wanted it to end.
Now, they are trying to walk, and each developing their own personalities. All of them but Gretchen have a head full of straight dark hair. Gretchen's has a curl to it, but it's still dark.
Gunner pulled me from my thoughts, and asked me to dance with him. There was no music playing, so I thought he was going mad. However, I never deny him anything, especially when he is being romantic, so I allowed him to lead me to the dance floor as our family and pack watched.
He pulled me close, and wrapped his arms around my waist. I put mine around his neck and laid my head on his chest, and we swayed back and forth. Suddenly I heard our song, 'If you're not the one, by Daniel Beddingfield started to play. I gasped at the sound. "You're mad you know," I joked with him. He gave a slight chuckle, and replied, "Mad about you, maybe."
