52. 4 Feet Is More Than 2

I lay in the center of the deck. I watch the stars. I love being on the boat. I look for the moon, but it's behind the clouds again.

Everyone lands around me.

Dipak does a head count. "We got everyone. Let's get out of here, Kane."

We take off.

The moon shows itself again. I get itchy so fast. I jump up and start scratching. "GET THEM OFF ME."

Kane yells, "MARY IS ON HER WAY, NADINE."

"AAAHHHH!" Pain rips threw me. I can hear my bones breaking. I drop to my knees. "AAAAHHHH!" My clothes rip off me.

The pain stops. I lay down. That was a lot.

Kane stops the boat. "Send Omar up here, Mary."

I try to stand and nearly fall over. Thora tackles me. "YOU'RE SO PRETTY."

I blink a couple of times.

She jumps up. "AND YOU GOT FLEAS. I'M GOING TO GO GET SOAP." She runs below deck.

Coral takes off with her. "WE'LL FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET RID OF THE FLEAS. DON'T WORRY."

I sit up as best as I can. The boys are staring at me. I check myself and see white paws. I jump so fast. I try to run to Dipak, but I fall on my face and hit my chin hard. I make a yelp sound.

Omar nods. "Well, this explains a lot. Now we know why she can mind link."

Elek smiles. "It's alright. Go slow." He rubs my ears. It feels good. I rub my head on him.

Dipak kneels in front of me. "You're a werewolf, sweetheart."

I lay down a cry. Then I start sobbing, but it comes out like a scream.

All 6 of my boys drop their knees and yell in pain. I rub my head on Elek's hand. He rubs my ears again. That feels so good.

Omar looks around. "Well, she activated them with that sound somehow."

"Call to action." Kane puts the sails up. "Tobias, put the guard rails on the sides."

Elek kneels down beside me and keeps petting my ears.

My mates are wolves. Big black wolves.

Tye tries to come down the steps from the wheel area. He falls all the way down and lands with 4 feet in the air.

Omar nods. "4 feet is more than 2. Give yourselves some time to get used to that before you try stairs."

Johen tries to catch his own tail. He goes in a circle and knocks himself and Tobias over.

"The tails are attached. You don't have to attack them. It will hurt if you bite them."

Elek rubs my nose. "Can you understand us still?"

I nod as best as I can.

"Ok." He rubs my ears.

"WELL s**t. I'M GOING TO NEED MORE SOAP." Thora runs down again.

Tye is rubbing his back all over the deck.

I hear a thud and Nik is rubbing himself all over the deck too.

I fall over and do it too. It's like scratching. It feels so good.

Omar rubs his eyes. "You need to get us to a dock. I'll drag Ronion out of bed and bring him here."

Tre is sitting like a perfectly royal dog. Marcus is looking around, but his tail keeps catching his eye. Dipak is standing up. Tye is staring at Dipak's tail. Johen and Nik are still scratching. I stare at Tye. He puts his head down and keeps his butt up. I nudge Elek and he laughs.

Dipak turns but it's too late. Tye bites his tail.

Dipak yelps and then shows his teeth and starts snarling. Tye lays down and covers his face with his paw.

I try to laugh but start coughing instead.

Johen stands up but then chases his own tail again.

Omar rubs his eyes. "Do not chase your own tail or anyone else's."

I nudge Elek's hand. He stopped petting my ears.

Johen goes in a bunch of circles then falls over.

"Here Omar. We're docked."

"I'll be back. Stay on the ship."

Tre slowly comes over to me and Elek, then he sits between us. Tye pounces on Johen, and they chase each other's tails. Elek laughs and pets Tre's ears without thinking.

I feel Tre relax beside me, then he pushes his ears into Elek's hand. Dipak and Marcus cough.

I slowly slide my ass over to the other side of Elek and nudge his other hand. He rubs my ears too.

He kneels down and scratches my back. I shiver and roll over. The scratches feel so good. He rubs my chest and belly. I relax so much. This is the best feeling ever.

Tre spots me and stands up. Elek rubs his ears more. He relaxes.

Mary finally comes up. She goes to Dipak and rubs his ears. I can see him relaxing too. It really feels good.

Then Thora and Coral come up. Suddenly, everyone is getting their ears rubbed or backs scratched.

Omar comes back. "I found out some stuff. Stop petting them. They need to focus. Turns out a werewolf will turn, for the first time, when they come of age in the full moon's light. It's different for Nadine because she's also a vampire. Also, she has bitten the 6 of you. You are werewolves now. She activated the werewolf in you when she made that sound. Now, there is nothing Ronion can do tonight. When the moon goes down, you will go back to normal. After tonight, you will have more control and eventually be able to turn when you want. But for tonight, I was instructed to take you somewhere safe, so you can play and learn more about the bodies. He also sent some oils. He said a good bath and then cover them in oils would get rid of the fleas. He also said salt helps. So it's good we're in salt water. We are getting off the ship here. You are going to get a bath in the salt water. Then you can practice walking on the beach. HOWEVER, No 1 is walking on that dock until you prove to me you can walk a straight line. And you have to agree to chase no one else's tail."

Tre stands up and walks straight to him with no issues. I give him a dirty look.

Thora smiles. "Yea, he really doesn't like fleas. Come on."

Marcus does fairly well.

"Wait until Tre gets off the dock before you go. 1 of you on the dock at a time is enough to watch."

The boys make it over 1 at a time. I sit with Elek getting my ears rubbed.

Elek smiles. "You going to try?"

I shake my head and cry. I hurt my chin last time.

"You have to at least try. No one can do this for you."

I stand up and I'm shaking. "One foot at a time, Nadine. Go slow."

I try and walk a few steps, then almost trip again. It takes me a few tries, but I get the hang of it.

"Walk with her, Elek. Nadine, make sure you do not get excited about anything. You focus only on walking."

Elek walks the dock with me. I focus on my feet. Then I get to the end and feel the sand in my paws. I've never felt happier.

Thora is waiting for me. "Come here. Let's get the flea's off." Her clothes are soaking wet. Her hair is dry though.

Elek comes with me.

"You still don't have to breathe. You're a vampire."

They get in with me and scratch and rub. It feels damn good. I try to lay down about 4 times while they get me washed and oiled.

Nik comes out of the ocean with a fish in his mouth. Then the other's try to go in.

Omar jumps. "NO. I AM NOT LOSING YOU ALL IN THE OCEAN. YOU HAD A BATH. GO PLAY IN THE GRASS AND DRY OFF."

We go to the grass, and slowly take off into the village. Thora and Elek come with us. Omar keeps watch by the ocean and Coral and Mary go back to the ship to take their own baths.

"I'm going to go change clothes. The dress shop is right there. I'm all wet. Don't go far." Thora runs off.

We go to a store that smells absolutely amazing. I've never smelled anything this good.

"I'll wait in the path, so Thora can find us."

I need to find that smell. The boys are eating out of a container of some kind.

I follow Tye and Johen out a side door. Then we see a bunch of chickens. The boys pounce so fast. They rip 1 chicken apart.

Tye gives me his half. Then Johen tosses his at me. It tastes so damn good. They start tearing through chickens. They kill and eat them as fast as they can.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? I JUST GAVE YOU BATHS." We look at Thora and Tye puts his paw on his face again. He's so cute. "OUT NOW."

Elek stands beside her nodding.

We get back to the path. All 7 of us sit and look at Thora and Elek.

Thora shakes her head. "I can't believe you did that. Tye and Johen, you both need another bath already. Nadine, you need to wash up. Everyone back to the dock. Elek, watch them. I'm going to grab another dress."

"Alright."

Elek walks with us and a horrible rotten smell shows up.

Elek plugs his nose and looks at Dipak and Marcus. "What the f**k did you eat?"

Marcus makes a weird noise. Nik goes to the side of the path and throws up a big pile of something. Then he keeps walking with us.

"I bet you won't go roaming around eating everything again."

We get back to the beach and Omar stands up. "What is that smell?"

"Some of them ate something rotten."

Tre runs to a tree and pukes.

Omar nods. "Well, it came back out of 1 of them."

"Nik puked it up too."

Omar puts his hands on his hips. "You can not roam around eating everything that smells good. Live animals are usually safe. But other than that, you have to pay attention."

Either Marcus or Dipak passes the loudest fart I've ever heard.

Elek plugs his nose. "You know what, if you have gas go over there and stand." He points to the grass area. Nik, Tre, Marcus, and Dipak go over.

I nudge Elek's hand again and he pets my ears.

"I can't believe you 2. Right after you got done with the bath. Get back in the water." Thora grabs her bucket of soaps. "Elek, can you wash the blood off her head?"

I give him sad eyes.

"Of course." He rubs my nose. "I'll get that pretty face cleaned up." He gets some cloths wet and washes my face. Then he winks. "All better."

I curl up in a ball by his feet. I'm cold.

"Come on. Let's get back to the boat. I'll get you a blanket." I stretch. "I'm taking this 1 back. She's getting tired."

"Careful on the dock or you'll be fishing her out."

Elek walks with me all the way back. I lay down in the center of the deck. He rubs my ears and head. I fall asleep.
