72. Hungry

I open my eyes. I'm in the medical area. Tre is sleeping beside me. I stretch my toes and my feet. I don't remember what happened. I stretch my fingers. Then my arms. Kane is in the chair.

He smiles and whispers. "4 days. You're ok. Everyone's ok."

"What happened?"

Tre wiggles around.

"You were in a cave, and it collapsed."

"Why was I in a cave?"

Tre smiles. "Let's get you awake. Then we can figure out what you remember."

I stretch big then sit up. "I'm hungry."

"Did she wake up that fast?"

"No, she's been waking up for about 8 hours. She kept snuggling in and going back to sleep."

I smile.

Tre gets up and pulls the curtain back. "Good morning baby."

"Good morning Tre."

Kane stands up. "I'll go tell them she's up and needing food."

Tre nods. "Thank you." Then he comes over and kisses my head. "You weren't in very good shape baby. You scared me so badly. I'm so glad you're ok."

"I love you Tre."

"I love you." He gives me the biggest hug.

Cruor walks in. "Good morning Nadine. How are you feeling?"

"I feel fine. Hungry but fine."

"What's the last thing you remember?"

I stare at the blanket.

"Talk it out please. Do you remember being on the boat?"

Tre smiles. "Do you remember driving with Tye?"

I laugh. "We went so fast. Then Kane found an island. No dock. We got out. I found Mason. Then he was a stalker, but he fixed it. We went in the water. Searching boats that sank. Then I looked at the reef with you." I giggle and wiggle.

"You remember that, do you?"

Cruor puts his eyebrows up.

"We had some extra fun there." Cruor nods.

I hug him. "I love you."

"I love you baby. What happened then?"

I really have to think now. "I was digging up treasure as a wolf. Then... I don't know. I had like half a bucket of gold coins though."

"She's right there. She only doesn't remember the last bit of it."

"What happened?"

"Elek brought you some clothes. You 2 talked. Then you went into a cave to look for more treasure. It caved in on you. A big rock hit your head. You had a broken arm. A bunch of bruises and cuts. It took us 6 hours to get you out of there."

"Am I ok now?"

Cruor smiles. "You seem good as new. Be easy for a few days. Your injuries are healed though and mentally you seem good. You remember quite a bit already. The rest of the memories may come back over the next day or 2. Go slow and easy."

"Ok."

"It may help her memories to go back there. Not go in. But look around outside. She may remember everything and not be as groggy after that. It is hard not to remember chunks of time. It makes a person feel out of sorts and place."

"We can do that. No problem."

"I'll send Vitchen in with some food. Once she gets cleared eating she's free to go. You'll still need to watch her with everything for a couple of days."

"We will."

A couple of hours later, I'm dressed in a princess outfit. I have my hair done and a tiara. I put on gloves and jewelry that match the dress. Tre thought it was different, but I want to be a princess.

We go up to Dipak's office. Most people are here. Kane, Coral, and Gunner aren't. But the rest of them are. Even Elek and Mason are here. That's weird.

Dipak runs over and grabs me. He hugs me so tight. "I missed you, sweetheart." He carries me over and puts me on his lap in his spot.

Tre looks at everyone. "Her memory is good up until about a half hour before the cave in. She remembers being a wolf. She remembers the island. Mason. Hell she remembers treasure hunting the sunk ships. It's right there at the end. She doesn't remember Elek bringing her clothes or going in the cave. It's so close. Cruor wants us to watch her for a couple of days. Take everything slow and easy. Let her relax. He also wants her to go back to the cave in spot. He thinks it will trigger the rest of her memories."

I lay back on Dipak's chest. "What do you want to do, sweetheart?"

"Get back on the boat. I want to see the Mayan people and finish looking for treasure."

"Ok." He kisses my head.

I stand up and go for the elevator.

"Where are you going, my princess?"

"Werewolf village, daddy. I'm not done searching for treasure."

Tye stands up. "She's a pirate alright."

Thora stands up. "Me too. Nice seeing you Frode. Love you."

"Love you too baby. Have fun."

I get in the elevator with all my boys, Elek, Mason, and Thora. I push the 5 button and the doors close.

Dipak smiles. "Why are we in the elevator?"

"I don't know."

Thora cracks up laughing. "Yea, we had better watch her close for a couple of days."

Tye snuggles me. "We'll run around Mason's island for a couple of days until you feel all better, then we'll go find the Mayans, ok?"

"That sounds nice. Do we need more clothes? I feel like mine are shredded."

"Wouldn't be a bad idea. Maybe some new towels too."

"We can grab some chickens too. We're about out of them."

We get out on 5 and move to the other elevator. Then I push the 1.

Marcus kisses my head. "Are you looking for a door, angel?"

I scratch my head. "It's normal to leave this way... I think."

Thora smiles at me. "Yea, this is how I normally get out. I guess we could have used the window. I don't think Mason would have liked that drop though."

Mason shakes his head. "No. That wouldn't be good for me."

Nik nods. "No amount of breathing masks are going to help that landing."

We get down to 1 and I get some cotton candy. Then I stare at the boys.

Tye kisses my head. "I'll make us a door, babydoll."

"Ok." I jump up and down.

"Are you taking the tiara?"

I nod.

Tye makes us a door, and we walk into the pack house. I smile and hand him my cotton candy. "I'm going to go take a nap."

Everyone looks at me weirdly and Tye says, "Ok babydoll. Naps are good."

I go in the guest room and take off the gloves and shoes. I lay my jewelry and tiara on the table. Then I hang my dress up. After that, I face plant the bed in my underwear and pass the hell out.

"Sweetie."

My head pops up and I stare at Savannah.

"Did you want to get up for dinner?"

I shake my head and then lay it back down.

She rubs my head. "You sleep well."

I wake up later, and get up. I stretch big and put my shoes and dress on. Then I put on my jewelry and shove the tiara in my hair. That's the only real option for the tiara. My hair is all over the place.

I step out and fall over something. I don't know what it is. I can't see s**t. It's pitch black in here. Then there's light from somewhere and Mason comes out of his room shirtless. I like him like that.

"What are you doing?"

There are books in front of the door. "Good morning."

"Not quite. You need to sleep for a couple more hours."

My eyes fill up with tears and I shake my head.

"Where do you want to go?"

"Mountain."

"You can't climb the mountain in the dark. Sleep for a couple of hours. Then we'll eat and go over there."

I lay down and cry.

He picks me up and carries me back in my room. Then he stands me up and pulls the tiara out of my hair. I kick the shoes off and drop the dress.

Then he picks me up again and lays me on the bed. I pull on him.

"I'm not sleeping with you."

"I'm cold."

He feels my shoulders. "You are cold. Alright 1 minute." He lays down on his back.

I curl up against him and half lay on him. He feels so good to touch. My boobs on him feel good. He pulls the blankets up over us and rubs my back. I make shapes on his chest with my fingertips.

He grabs my hand like he wants me to stop. Then he lets go, and his fingertips rub down my arm.
