I feel his whole body jolt awake.
Savannah is standing beside us with her arms crossed.
I'm sleeping on his chest. All the way on top of him like I do with my boys. We've got the blankets over us and neither of us have a shirt on. Yea, this looks bad.
She rubs her eyes. "Get up alpha. They will kill you. I'll get her bathed. Get your scent off her." She walks out and shuts the door.
I nod and roll off him. He gets up and I curl up in his warm spot. "So warm."
I hear him chuckle. Then he kisses my head and leaves.
A few minutes later, Savannah comes back in. "It's time to wake up. I'm going to get you in the bath, then summon your clothes, after I get the bedding out of here. Yes, that's a good plan." She nods. "UP."
'Ugh." I get up and put the princess dress on. That's all that's going on this time. I climb in the bath and it's so warm. It smells good too. She must have put extra stuff in it. After a minute, Tre comes in and smiles at me.
"You slept a long time baby."
"I was tired."
"You want some help with your hair?"
"Yes please."
He washes my hair. Then he puts the oil in and rinses it out. "Did you kiss him?"
"I haven't kissed anyone in a very long time. I'm not sure who him is, Tre."
He smiles and washes my body.
"I kissed Elek before I got hurt." I stare into space. "Why was I kissing Elek on the mountain?"
"I don't know, baby. I didn't see that. I saw you 2 talking, but that was it."
"What were we talking about?"
"I don't know. I didn't hear."
"Who is him?"
"Mason. I smelled him when I came in." He rinses me off.
"No. It's not like that. I woke up and fell over a book. He sat with me, so I could fall back to sleep. I guess he fell asleep too. Savannah isn't very happy with us. But nothing happened. No kissing or anything."
He smiles. Then he helps me out of the bath and dries me off. "You want to walk over to the mountain today?"
"Yes, I would like that."
"I love you baby."
"I love you Tre." He helps me with my underwear and 1 of Tye's island dresses. It's bright pink and I love it.
We go to the sitting room and he combs my hair. Then he goes to clean up the bathroom. I move to the dining room. I'm the first 1 here.
Mason comes in after a few minutes. "Nadine, breakfast is still a half hour away. You can read or something if you want. You don't have to sit in here."
I scratch my head. "Can I take a nap?"
"Why don't you try sitting in the sitting room until more people get here?"
I move to the sitting room. 5 minutes later, no 1 is here to sit. I go back to the dining room. I'm the only 1 in here again, but I don't care. I sit in my spot. I'm hungry.
"Sweetie, you are too early. Come on. You can help me make the bed. You can't sit in the dining room alone."
I help her make the bed and she opens the window. Then she throws the dirty sheets and blanket out of it. I start laughing.
"I will get his scent out of here 1 way or another."
We go down and she goes out the back door. I sit in the dining room. Still nobody here.
Tre comes in. "Let's sit out here, baby." He leads me to the sitting room.
Mason and Tre sit with me.
Dipak walks in and goes up the steps. "I need the tiara and jewelry." Then he comes back down. "Why is the bedding different?"
I point at the back door.
They all look at the back door. Dipak nods.
Tre waves him off. "It's fine."
Savannah comes through the back door.
"Why is the bedding different?"
"Half of it was on the floor."
"That does make sense." Then Dipak leaves.
I go to the dining room.
Tre grabs me before I get there. "Sit down baby. We'll eat in a little bit."
He guides me to the couch this time. I lay down. I'm cold. I close my eyes.
Mason sits me up. "No nap. Let's go sit in the dining room."
I nod and move to the dining room.
Mason looks at his papers at his end.
Nik, Elek, and Tobias come in next. I smile at them.
Nik puts his arm around me. "I miss you babygirl."
I lay my head on his shoulder.
Marcus and Dipak come in and sit down on the opposite end as Mason. Then Mason's people come in. Kodan is back.
I snuggle Nik, then I stand up. I stretch big then go to my room. I need a nap. I lay down and Thora pulls me up. "You need to eat. You can't sleep all day."
I follow her to the dining room. Everyone is here.
"She was trying to go back to bed. She has to eat you guys. You have to watch her and feed her. And make sure she's getting enough blood. She's still out of it. You can't let her roam around alone."
I stretch again. "I need a nap."
Thora nods. "Eat first, and then you can take a nap. When is the last time you had any blood?"
I shrug my shoulders.
She looks at the boys. "SERIOUSLY?"
Marcus jumps up. "I got it."
"AND WHEN IS THE LAST TIME SHE ATE? SOMEONE TELL ME IT WASN'T THE COTTON CANDY?" She looks around. "YOU ARE ALL f*****g IDIOTS. NO WONDER WHY SHE'S NOT GETTING BETTER. FEED HER WHEN SHE'S HUNGRY."
I shake my head. "I need a nap."
"No, you need blood and food. Your body is running on nothing because none of these idiots can think. Every God damned time. You are all so stupid. YOUR MATE NEEDS BLOOD AND FOOD. f*****g IDIOTS. YOU'RE LUCKY SHE DIDN'T ATTACK MASON." She pulls me out of the dining room.
Dipak yells, "FOODS IN HERE THORA."
She pulls me back in. "Sit down." She walks in the kitchen. "FOOD NOW." I hear her right through the wall. She comes back and puts a bunch of meat and eggs in front of me with a glass of milk.
Marcus gives me a whole cup of blood. "Sorry angel. Drink that for me."
I drink my blood.
"Give me the bottle you i***t. Go over there." Thora refills my blood. "You have to feed her when she is hungry or awake. She is not going on your schedules. Was she sleeping since we got here yesterday?"
Mason nods.
"I'm surprised the poor baby didn't wake up in the middle of the night searching for food." She pushes my plate closer. "Eat your food." Then she crosses her arms. "You're really lucky you haven't been bitten. That's a long time without blood."
Dipak nods. "I'm sorry. We'll do better. We were excited about getting her back. None of us were thinking right."
"So excited to get her back, but you let her sleep for 24 hours, so you could go run around and do your own stuff?"
Tye looks at her. "We..."
"No. All of you get out. Go eat on the ship or starve for all I care. I'll take care of her until she's better."
Tre looks at her and shakes his head. "You can't do it on your own."
Her eyes go red. She stands up and the table flips.
Dipak jumps up. "Thora, calm down."
"NO. NONE OF YOU ARE DOING A GOD DAMN THING TO HELP HER. BUT I CAN'T DO IT ON MY OWN?" She grabs Tre and launches him threw the side of the house. "GET OUT." She walks to the kitchen and the door flies in when she touches it. "MORE FOOD."
I take a drink of my blood. It's the only thing on the table that wasn't destroyed. The boys run out the hole in the pack house wall.
She sits back down beside me and crosses her arms. "f*****g idiots."
I nod, and the kitchen lady hands me a plate of food again. I smile. "Thank you. Can you get her some too?"
"Of course."
A few minutes later, she comes back with another plate. We sit and eat.
After we're done, asks, "Do you want to go for a walk or take a nap?"
"Walk."
We leave through the hole.
We walk all over the village for a couple of hours. We look at the flowers and bugs. Then we see the school. The pups are playing outside. We watch them for a few minutes. Then I get stretchy again.
We go back to the pack house and now some brains are here.
"Go take a nap. I'll get you up for lunch. I'll be here if you need anything."
"Thank you." I go to my bed.
I wake up a couple of hours later. Now the front wall is gone too. There's no front door. Or wall. It's just porch and sitting room. 1 of the side tables is in the yard. Thora is napping on the couch.
She opens her eyes. "Ready for lunch?"
"Yea, I'm hungry."
"Good." The dining room is still trashed, and the wall is gone.
"I wonder if they have restaurants here?"
"I don't know we can look."
Thora yells, "MASON."
He comes out of his office. "Yes?"
"Do you have restaurants here?"
"Yes, A few."
She nods. "Thank you. We're going to find 1."
I smile. "What happened to the wall?"
"Tye is an asshole."
"Yea, that does make sense. I kind of want to go to the beach."
"Let's go eat first, and then we can do that."
"Ok."
We have a nice lunch at the bar. Then we fly to the ship and get our swimsuits on. I go for the bright pink 1. We go to the beach with the reef and lay out in the sun.
Tye and Mason come through the door after about an hour.
"Tye don't even." Thora glares at him.
"I know. I'm sorry. You're doing a hell of a job. Better than any of us have. So to say I'm sorry, I brought some pineapple ice cream and you 2 a coconut drink."
We both sit up quickly.
We take our drink and start eating the ice cream. I look out over everything. "This is really perfect."
Thora nods. "The coconut drink really ties it all together."
"This is different. How did you figure this out?"
I look at him. "Future."
Tye looks at him. "Actually the ship really. Not the future. Kind of."
I smile. "There are a lot of different kinds of ice cream."
"I picked pineapple because it fits in at my resort well. I got pineapple and coconut everything."
"And you figured it out on the boat?"
Thora shakes her head. "No, the ship."
He nods.
Tye laughs. "We sound crazy."
I finish my ice cream and stand up. "Well, let's show him the ship. But my ship is underground. It's not in space yet. The future ship is in space. Not mine. We're going underground."
He looks at me with his eyebrows down. "Ok."
"It's a lot to understand. Don't try." Tye makes a door.
