"Brother Thunder, someone's stopping us!" The driver exclaimed to the person next to him.
"Hit her. Do I have to tell you what to do?" Brother Thunder frowned. His already hideous scar that crossed his left eye became even more hideous upon the sight of the woman.
On the passenger's seat, the three other men who looked normally ugly and peasant widened their eyes when they saw the woman blocking the car as if she was a ghost. Then they simultaneously cast a questioning glance to the calm and elegant little thing beside them.
No one had spoken from them yet, but all their heads had the same turbulent thoughts running around. Who's that woman? Is she this child's person?
Brother Thunder looked over the cold little thing on the back. Looking scary as a monster, he pointed ahead. "Who's that stupid woman? Do you know her?"
The little thing was neither speaking nor moving. He initially paid no heed to abducting him, but hearing the word 'woman', his interest was triggered.
If the one who was trying to block their way was a man or group of men, he didn't need to check who they were.
However….
A woman?
Who's the woman?
Apart from his grandma, he knew no one else.
So of course he also had no idea who's fairy was brave enough to face danger since he hadn't met any woman recently.
Out of curiosity, he blinked his cold eyes slightly upward and spared a glance outside the car. When he saw the face of the woman in front of him, his face lit up secretly.
"Who is she?" Brother Thunder asked impatiently again.
The little thing just slightly glanced at him and then continued staring at the woman.
The woman was fabulous despite wearing only simple jeans and a loose white shirt. Even so, her incredible beauty and perfect body was undeniable. She was even looking cute and innocent despite pulling a stern face.
One thing that attracted the interest to the little thing the most was her bravery and intelligence.
Why??
There were many people who saw him being pushed inside the car but only she had noticed the abnormality. Although he didn't retaliate, it was still an awesome skill to determine the real situation.
The little thing's indifference triggered Brother Thunder's cruelty. He gnashed his teeth and shouted to the driver who was also among the group. "Hit the woman! Make sure to get her killed!"
The little thing fretted inwardly. He has no relations to the woman but his first impression of her was great. And for some unknown reason, he sensed some strange yet wonderful warmth feeling by just looking at her. As if she had known her for so long.
What was more, if she died, wouldn't he feel guilty for the rest of his life?
The little thing clenched his fists. Suddenly, he stood up, jumped towards the driver, and wrapped his neck tightly, choking him with his little arms.
This sudden move of the silent little thing caught them off guard. And because of that, the driver lost control of the steering wheel and the car swayed awkwardly on the road.
…
In the Bluebird Garden.
The house was in chaos.
In the lobby, all servants were gathered together— cooks, gardeners, maids, and guards.
The originally chilly morning became even more chillier. The lobby was suffocatingly quiet even though it was crowded with almost thousands of people. The worst part was that the temperature of the room felt like it had dropped into zero degrees and a silent hail storm was raging in, wanting to drown them into an abyss of snow or freeze them towards the scorching hell.
Yes. Even hell was unable to withstand the coldness shrouded in the room.
All their heads were hung low and their knees weakened like arms of an octopus. Their hands had gotten clammy and perspiration layered their foreheads like a moistening pitcher of ice.
There was no such bloody occurrence in the room, but from the looks of them, seeing a scary ghost to describe their feelings at the moment was understatement—their fate, their lives, and their deaths were determined by how their King dealt with them. Their King who did punishment worse than death. He was no other than President Chen Lei.
Chen Lei sat crossed legs in the blue couch. His posture and his demeanor was even more noble and elegant than those Kings and royalties during the ancient times. His gaze was sharp and cold and his presence alone was like the legendary earth-destroyer sea waves.
He was undoubtedly a masterpiece crafted by our Almighty God. He caught and got all the blessings and great things in the world. His looks and his birth was fated to be the King and above others.
The way he looked at his people has no trace of mercy. As if he wanted to devour them alive and whole.
"Where is he?" He finally spoke. His tone was low but it was even scarier than a call of the God of death. "I will ask you again. Where's my son?"
Still, no one dared to answer him. To be exact, no one was unable to open their mouths. The mental pressure Chen Lei exuded was enough to turn them deaf and mute.
Chen Lei tapped his index finger on his knee and narrowed his dark eyes at them. "Since you don't want to speak, why don't we cut them off? Why keep such useless things?"
A young maiden fell on her knees, sobbing, "Young Master, I'm sorry. It's my fault. I lost the little young Master. I- I deserve to die."
Chen Lei narrowed his eyes and looked down at the girl like she was just an ant. "Right. You deserve to die." He raised his head and his eyes turned murderous as he swept them around. "All of you deserve to die!"
"Young Master!" Everybody fell on their knees simultaneously upon hearing his words. They were so scared as they knew that their master had never joked. He meant whatever words came out from his precious mouth. "Please, have mercy."
Chen Lei rose up, turned away, and spoke threateningly, "Find him before nightfall. Otherwise… face your death."
