Allen grabbed the phone that he tossed on his bed earlier and called a certain person. He was looking so anxious and madly impatient towards that person to answer his call. As if he was the father of the kid who ran away and so he was urging that certain person to respond to him as soon as possible since she was the only person in this world who was capable of saving the kid that he could think of. This side of him would only surface when the problem involved the kid.
An inexplicable anxiety and rage aroused in his heart when his call couldn't get through after several attempts. He couldn't stay still and subconsciously tightened his hold on his phone, as if he was planning to break it. He was pacing back and forth as he continued to call that certain person.
He frustratingly brought the phone off his ear and re-dialed her number all over again when the call was unable to reach her number. He was mumbling repeatedly as he was still unable to contact her. "What's happening to the world? Why is everyone out of contact?" He braced his hand on his palm and walked around his bed. "Come on, Geneva. Come on, answer me. Answer your phone. During this situation, why can't I reach you? What the hell are you doing? Why can't I call you?"
After a minute that the call still couldn't get through her phone, Allen angrily threw his own phone on the bed, cursing it to vent his anger, "Damn! What a useless thing!"
Without looking back to his pitiful phone, he hurriedly left his room and walked downstairs in a very bad mood. His current look was like he wanted to murder someone— scary but somewhat funny.
"Second Young Master, your ginger soup is ready." Kath Divaz blocked Allen as he reached the lobby. She thought he came down for the soup he asked to prepare a while ago. That's why she delivered it as she caught sight of him coming down when she was at the dining room's door. "Do you want to drink the soup now or later? It's quite hot."
"No! Get that thing out of my way!" Allen angrily said which startled the young woman and walked straightway out of the house. Not even bothering to care about what he wore and he directly dashed in the rain without bringing an umbrella.
Kath Divaz noticed it and so she hurriedly went back to the kitchen. When she came out from the kitchen again, she was already carrying a red dotted umbrella, panting as she chased after him out of the house.
"Second Young Master, it's raining outside. Don't forget to bring an umbrella with you! You will get sick." Kath Divaz sprinted over. Fortunately he listened to her. When he heard her calling, he purposely waited for her and so she managed to catch up on him. "Second Young Master, it's raining. Please take this umbrella with you."
"Thanks." Allen just cast a quick glance on her. He snatched the umbrella from her hand and then left without looking back.
Kath Divaz didn't mind the man's rude attitude. She even sent him out of the gate until he was no longer within the reach of her sight before sighing sadly and dejectedly returned to the kitchen.
…
In Geneva's apartment.
Geneva was eating a bowl of noodles alone while reading random news on her laptop. She was wearing loose flowery pajamas and tied her hair into a messy bun. Even so, she remained looking so beautiful and a fresh young lady.
When she was done eating, she brought the bowl to the sink and washed it. After that, she returned to the table. However, when she was about to sit, a sharp pain suddenly pricked in her lower abdomen followed by a sticky warm liquid gushed out in her underwear.
She didn't need to look or wonder what it was. As a woman, she was already familiar with these kind of symptoms or signs.
Geneva held her stomach, face contorted in pain. "Ouch, it's this damn period again."
Hands on her stomach, she went inside her room and rummaged through the drawer of her closet, looking for something she could use for her period only to curse when she found that her sanitary pads were all used up.
She hit her forehead in frustration. "What the hell! How can I forget this? I actually forgot such an important thing. So careless."
Shaking her head, she picked her purse up and went out of the house after grabbing her umbrella that was dangling on a wall behind the door.
Despite the heavy rain, Geneva made her way to the mini-store in the canto. She took a few blocks and turns in the alley to arrive there. Her pajamas were already drenched and she felt extremely cold but she endured it and continued her way to the store, hugging herself.
"Since when the weather is like this, this damn period comes. So unlucky." She mumbled dazedly, lips trembling because of the cold.
Suddenly, a strong wind blew accompanying the rain. Hence, Geneva used her umbrella to block them in order to avoid herself from getting completely wet. She also looked down as she hid behind her umbrella.
Such things only came so fast and also passed by so fast. When such heavy rain and strong wind were gone and just dropped from its normal direction and paced, she raised her umbrella again to cover her head only to freeze when someone abruptly bumped on her, and tightly hugged her legs.
If the woman was someone else who's ordinary, they would probably scream out of fear since she had no idea what thing or whose perverted one suddenly seized her legs.
But because of her training and past experience, she learnt to always stay calm whatever situation he would face. Thus, without fear, she gradually looked down only to gawk in surprise. "Why are you here?"
