Chapter Twenty Six

Zero shifted before opening his eyes slowly.He paused though at the sight of Crimson hair.His mind was in a frenzy as he began to try to recollect his thoughts from the previous night.Trying to get up,he felt himself pinned down,his hands tied to the bed post.It was only then that he noticed the soft breathing and the intoxicating scent of Jasmine.He completely froze at that as his mind began to conjure up other reasons for there to be Jasmine in his room.Only he realized that it wasn't his room as he looked around.None of it was familiar as far as he could tell.He closed his eyes at that point,savoring in her scent.She was the only person he knew could make him feel as he did. Reina Gremory. He opened his eyes to find a pair of breathtaking sleepy violet eyes staring curiously at him,her hair covering her beautiful face slightly.Her lips were cherry red and full.Even without any make up,she was still so divine.Her hair caressed his face,sending shivers down his spine.Now he knew what his father was talking about.

''Well,Good Morning Mr Black.Glad to see you're alive.It would have been quite the problem if you'd died in my Household.''she said,leaning up and sitting up squarely on top of him.From that angle,she truly looked like a goddess sent from Asgard itself.

''What happened to me?I can't seem to remember much from last night.''he muttered,finally finding his voice.

''Well,I would go into the basics but they're so boring so I'll keep it simple....You just turned into a Hunter like your father and your Uncle Clark.....You are now a part of our world...There's no turning back now.''A mischievous smile spread across her lips,as if she knew something he didn't know,before leaning forward to unfasten the belt.He gulped as her breasts came right into view,brushing up to him slightly as she fumbled with it.He froze completely underneath her,his mind going wayward with the dirtiest of thoughts he never thought he could garner up.He prayed fervently that he didn't feel the scalding heat he felt.If that wasn't torture then he had no idea what it was.He took in a whiff of her natural Jasmine scent,a low appreciative sound escaping his throat.

''I hope you're enjoying the view.''she muttered with a guarded smile as she leaned back up to stare at him.He could feel his face grow hot as she stared,amused no doubt by his secret indulgence.

''Hey,Its not my fault I woke up to an irresistible woman on top of me.....What were you doing on top of me,by the way?I don't imagine this is how all Hunters turn.If so then why didn't it come any sooner.''he replied,grinning like an i***t as she laughed.He remembered that laugh.The one from the party.So carefree and musical,it was surreal.

''Your sense of humor hasn't faded.Thankfully...Most Hunters become such grouchy weirdos.We usually have to hate them once that happens....''she replied,getting off him and standing beside him,allowing him a better view of her luscious body that was completely dazzling.Clad in red checkered shorts and a white t shirt,he finally got to see her beautiful legs that he hadn't realized he'd been craving to see again after the short show at the funeral,her crimson hair falling in waves and curls down a little past the small of her back.Perfection had nothing on her.

''Is that relief I hear in your voice?......Have you really grown that fond of me?.....I am touched,truly.''he said,amusement in his voice as she rolled her eyes at him with a grin.He rubbed the purple bruises on his wrists as she kicked the clothes on the floor aside.

''I never said I wasn't relieved.......To answer your earlier question,You turning was accelerated and I was edgy so I had to get a better vantage point of the markings that showed how far off you were so as to know the exact time that I could counter your energy.Usually a turning Hunter usually has a Helmurrin,another Hunter with the same energy and bond with the former,to help with the turn but I doubt you would have found anyone with your energy.....I think Zachary knew that and it was why he bonded you to me.A rather stupid gamble and quite risky but it did work so I guess we should look at the positive for now.''She appeared from what looked like the closet,peering at him as he slowly got out of bed.

''That's what Zorin asked about back at the party......Wait,when you say a stupid gamble and risky move...you surely don't mean...''Zero drifted off mid sentence as she came over and sat on the Black couch on the other side of the room.

''We weren't sure that it would work because it has never been done before but I guess with the Imbalance in Nature spreading through the whole town....This is mostly speculation because I honestly don't know how it became possible......Luck I guess.''she shrugged,getting up and heading back to the closet.

''What happened to the Helmurrin's who weren't powerful enough?''Zero asked the question that was nagging him.

''Well,their energy either got seriously damaged or they simply just died..Just like I said,Risky gamble.''she said from within the closet.He took a moment to process this as he made his way to the mirror.He didn't know why but amid the soreness he felt all over his body,he also felt......

''Different...What the f**k?....''he muttered as he gazed at the figure staring back at him.He looked completely different,the starkest contrast being his hair which had once had natural silver highlights but now was fully Silver.A Moonstone Silver that was both different and at the same time,stunning.It was longer now though,with the ends brushing against his shoulders in thick wavy curls.His arms,neck ,back and chest had markings that he didn't recognize as they looked like tribal tattoos but the Black tattoo stood out among all the others.He had also grown buffer than he had been before with abs he never would have gotten without about a month's worth of crazy workouts.He couldn't also help but that it was V shaped which he grinned at like a total idiot.Most of his mental bucket list had been crossed out in one night.He could safely say that he had been a rather good looking guy before,judging by how many times he had appeared on the world's sexiest Entrepreneurs magazines,which was countless by the way,and the way women seemed to have a momentary relapse when they looked at him.He had been oblivious to all this though,with Luke,Bobby and his other pals pointing it out rather bluntly and angrily once he stared at them,confused.But now that he saw the new change,he could clearly see the massive difference.He was now on the same league with Dameon,Jude....and,to some extent,Reina. He could feel an unbidden energy within him.A power that hadn't been there before.The uneasy feeling he had had was gone.He now felt whole.Perfect.

''Do you like the change?''she asked,startling him as he glanced at her.She'd been watching him from the closet's doorway with wonder in her eyes.Watching as her Past merged with her Future in one unforgettable night.

''Are you kidding?Its incredible.....I don't know why but I pictured something worse in my head.''He replied,running a hand down his rock hard abs.She grinned,coming up behind him and running a hand down his back markings.The trace left a hot tingling sensation that felt too damn good to be real.He stiffened as he watched her eyes go from violet to an exquisite crimson.One thought circled his mind over and over again as she moved to stand in front of him.They were her Vampire Eyes.

''These represent the unbreakable covenant that you have been tasked with.To protect the Duines,Humans,and keep the balance of Nature.You are the Warriors of the Balance.The true descendants born of the Earth.Born of the light of Good to destroy any evil that might threaten the balance.You are the true embodiment of Truth and of Light.There's no turning back now,Zero.You are now the Head of the Black Bloodline.A true Hunter....''she finished,looking up at him finally and watching as his gray eyes became darker,filled with bewilderment as well as resolve.Their bond had grown much stronger and she knew he felt the charge in the air around them.

''Very well put....I just thought they were gibberish I'd google eventually but see no need to since they look good and seem to have quite the effect on Vampires.''he said,gesturing for her to gaze at her reflection when she looked confused.

''Sorry...Bad habit.''she muttered once she saw her eyes,looking down immediately as she moved away from him.He felt bereft once she did,chastising himself for being an i***t when she moved into the other room.

''I ain't complaining....So what now?''he asked,following her into the room when he realized it was a bathroom.A massive one with a shower and a bath tub.Her room may have seemed quite old school but he noticed some changes here and there.Some modern furnishings.

''Now we find your father's killer.But first,I need to make sure of some things...''she said,pulling the shirt over her head,revealing a black strapless lace bra that looked like one of those Victoria's Secret Lingerie that had men drooling like voracious hyena's.He couldn't bring himself to look away,his gaze skimming over her upper body appreciatively as she took off the shorts,revealing a matching lace panties just as he'd guessed.It was only when she raised her brow at him did he realize that he was still staring.

''Have you had your fill yet,Mr Black?''she asked,a hint of amusement in her voice.He turned immediately,his face going hot at her question.

''Sorry.Bad Habits.''he muttered,running a hand through his hair,''you were saying something about making sure of some things....What things?''he added,straying the conversation away from the elephant that had been in the room.

''You'll see.Now,if you'll excuse me,I'm going to take a very needed shower.''she replied as her footsteps receded to the other side.He heard the shower come on,his mind filling up with all manner of thoughts at how she would like all wet and dripping.He gulped at that.Not a healthy thought at all.Especially considering that he was in his Calvin Klein boxer briefs.Wait...

''What am I doing in my boxer briefs?''he asked,turning without a second thought just as she wrapped a towel around herself.

''I told you.To be able to see how far your markings had gone so that I could counter with my own energy.''she replied,a hint of delight in her voice.

''Why do I have a feeling that isn't the full explanation?''he said,watching as she shrugged,pulling an innocent look that resonated deep within him.

''I guess we'll never know......Oh and Birthday Boy?....Welcome to My World.....''she replied with a wink before dropping her towel just as he scampered away.Damn his over excited Libido!.........
