Chapter Twenty Eight

Zero ducked just as Reina appeared in front of him,throwing a punch that would have definitely broke something if it had landed as he stepped to the side.She turned back to him with a grin,her eyes crimson as she disappeared again,grabbing his sweatshirt from behind him and pulling back before slamming him to the ground with a loud thud,her right knee on his neck,the hard pressure choking him.

''You need to fight back or this will not work.I will hurt you if you don't.''she said,using her body to hold him down once he began to struggle beneath her.

''You already are hurting me......If you haven't noticed yet.''he stammered out,trying to pry her off him using his hands when she grabbed them using her hands and pinned them above his head.

''Then get your revenge.''she said with a shrug.He could see the resolve in her now violet eyes.There was no way she was backing out of it.

''Fine.You asked for it.''he said finally with a grin,forcefully bucking her off using his legs.She landed on her back right above him,knocking the breath out of her.She had not expected that much force.Zero got up,staring at his hands.

''That was unexpected.''He muttered,looking up just as Reina quickly got up.

''Well done!I certainly didn't think you would bend that fast.Seems I should stop going easy on you.''Reina said,circling him with an impressed smile.

''Wait....That was you going easy?For crad'ssake!''He muttered,running a hand through his hair. Reina shrugged before turning to him.

''Let's go!''she shouted,quick stepping and appearing right in front of him,throwing a kick aimed for his stomach that he blocked with his hands,shoving him back a distance and leaving a red mark that healed instantly.He was about to complain when she appeared behind him,prompting him to turn quickly and block her series of kicks and punches.

''You have to be faster than that to land anything on me.''Reina stated,ducking and evading all his attacks with a grace that was quite admirable.It would have been more amazing if she wasn't kicking his ass.He frowned at the impasse in her voice,filling his resolve.He needed to land a punch and fast!With a wide grin,he ducked another punch and swiped her feet only she summersaulted back and stopped a few ft away.

''Is that all you've.......''Reina was about to say when he appeared right infront of her,landing a direct punch on her face that whipped her head back and left her deathly still.

''Are you okay?''Zero asked,his excitement at landing a punch fading instantly,worry filling him.Maybe he'd taken it a tad too far,whatever the hell he'd done.He was about to come closer when she held a hand up to him,turning just as the purple bruise that had formed on her cheek began to fade with her nose still bleeding.She wiped it daintily,staring at the blood as if she'd seen a ghost.If her skin wasn't naturally pale,he would have thought she'd grown paler.

''In all my years...''she muttered,wiping the blood off with the back off her hand once she regained her marbles,''that was quite unexpected.I shouldn't have spoken too soon.Seems you're getting a hang of your quick step.Good.So now that that is covered,I guess its My turn now.'' With a slight shrug and a flash of crimson glow in her eyes,Reina ran right towards Zero,her moves faster than they were before.She ducked once he threw a kick,gaining an opening which she utilized by throwing a hard earned punch.Zero was thrown far distance away,instantly realizing that his ribs were broken judging by how hard he was gasping for air.He was about to ask for a break when he sensed her right behind him,side stepping when she threw a kick only to be met by another punch right in the face and kick right in the stomach that flipped him over and crushed him stomach first into the ground.He groaned,coughing out some blood as he did so.It had all happened too fast that he momentarily couldn't comprehend it all.

''Different Hunter families had different ways of training their children.You would not have survived the turn if your father hadn't done it when you were young.So what you remember as torture is him saving your life.You have Power.Amazing Power that you just don't want to unlock.Whatever it is that's holding you back,you need to let it go now and fight!''Reina shouted,circling him as he stood up with a lot of effort.She hated all the pain he was going through.Could feel it radiate off him.She'd known she'd broken a few ribs but didn't think it would take as long for him to let go of all his fears.

''Saved me?He broke my spirit...Broke my heart....He hated me because he believed I killed my own mother....Do you know what happens to a Four Year old boy who grows up believing that?''he muttered lowly,wiping the blood away as he faced her.His forehead was bleeding slightly,his eyes full of so much pain.Torment that had stewed for years.Her heart softened at that.If he only knew......Felt what she had felt when she'd held Zachary's hand and had seen what he'd shown her.

''Please...Don't say that....I know it was hard but he loved you more than anything else..Its why he wanted you to get stronger..why he bonded you to me.....why he gave his life to protect you from harm.....Its why he left you Lazriel......''Reina said,watching as her words sunk in.He seemed momentarily taken aback by her words but tucked them away to think of later.For now,he seemed quite ready for another round.A look she'd seen in the mirror so many times when she'd shielded her own feelings.

''I don't want to talk about this right now...Are you going to fight me or not?''Zero said,ready for another round.

''Fine.Have it your way...Come on then,love.Let's see what more you have..''Reina said,lowering her stance just as Zero disappeared with a flash and began his attacks.

''You're faster.Good.''Reina said,blocking his kicks and punches with her own,their moves almost completely synchronized.Zero grinned,his eyes glowing a distinct light silver that matched his hair color.They held each other,each struggling to get out of the others grip.The feel of her rubbing against him and her appreciative smile that was dazzling to behold was the disclaimer that had him momentarily distracted and also brought about his downfall.He did not see her next move coming as she shoved her knee right up his balls.He grunted,letting go of her just as she summer saulted back,her leg connecting with his jaw that sent him sprawling to the ground.He tried to get up but she was on top of him in a flash,both her hands restraining his own above his head as she stared deep into his now gray eyes.

''You will meet many women who may match my beauty if not more beautiful than me...If you let your guard down and let your balls do the talking then you will most certainly get kneed right there if not killed.....So I will tell you this once,Zero.Do.Not.Let.Your.Guard.Down.Am I clear?''Reina whispered the last words right into his ear,prompting a slow nod from him as he looked right into her violet eyes.She smiled slightly,moving in closer to him.He held his breath as she got closer to his lips.Hyperventilating,he stared at her,completely stunned and frozen at what she was about to do.His mind,which was swirling with thoughts before,went completely blank as the pain he was feeling all over his body suddenly disappeared.Could she really be.........

She licked the side of his mouth slowly,the feel of her cool tongue on his skin sending shivers down his spine and his boys downtown who were roused in an instant,their protests at being shoved violently dialing down as they noted the new development.He felt helpless,his hands aching to run a hand down her pale skin that was cool to the touch.She was a goddess,the sight of her impaling even the strongest of men.Men like him stood no chance against her.

''Well done,Jager......''she whispered,holding his stunned gaze.He had performed exceptionally well....And his blood was......Heavenly.......Someone cleared their throat from somewhere above them. Reina reluctantly looked up,allowing Zero a view of her clevage.Again.It was like she was on a roll that day.He gulped,glancing up too before he went crazy.Though upside down,he could clearly see three figures staring down at them,one a dazzling woman,the other a middle aged man and the last one he could have recognized from anywhere.

''Your best friend has arrived.''she muttered,seeming amused as she released him and got to her feet.Zero scrambled up too,his movement completely ungraceful as compared to hers,turning to the three figures.They all seemed taken aback by the sight of him,the lady's amused smile dying on her lips.

''Luke!''Zero said,relief flooding through him.His best friend stood before him,clad in black sweats and a white shirt,his hair still wet from the shower.He seemed muddled as he glanced from him to Reina,shaking his head indistinctly at some unspoken thought.He suddenly grew almost paler than Reina and William combined,prompting Zero to step forward to reassure him when he held his hand up and took a step back.

''No!......What the f**k is going on here?!And who the f**k are you?!''He shouted at them,directing the last part at Zero who frowned,hurt by the cold look he was getting from his best friend.His brother.

''Heilige Troep.......'' Reina muttered running a hand through her hair......
