13 Ivy nestled into a slipcovered vintage wingback chair in front of the fireplace in the apartment above the garage and pulled a chunky sweater around her blue-and-white striped Breton top she wore with jeans. The days and nights were growing warmer, so this was likely the last fire of the season. Spring often arrived overnight in Southern California. The rain ceased, clouds cleared, and the sun shone longer. Tomorrow was forecast to be warm enough for sundresses. Ivy missed the marked change of seasons in Boston, but there was just enough of a shift here to satisfy her.
