Chapter 04 – Princess for a maid!
Theodora’s POV
The darkness around me started fading away and I felt my shoulder was heavy. Groaning painfully, I slowly opened my heavy eyes. Those were not ready to open, but when my mind overflooded with the horrible incidents that happened I forcefully opened them.
Those pitch-back eyes were the first thing to see!
No, this couldn’t be. Am I still unconscious? Why do I keep seeing those nasty pitch-black eyes looking at me?
“No, no” I whispered. My voice was rough a little, my throat was not smooth. I blinked a few times and realized that I was in my chamber.
“Good morning princess!” The voice heard closer to my eyes made my body covered with goosebumps. The hair on my back rose and I turned my head to find that those pair of pitch-black eyes were looking at me.
“How dare you? Get away from me?” I tried to get up, but the pain that emerged from my wound didn’t give me the strength I needed. It pulled me back to the bed and a painful moan escaped from my mouth.
“If you wish that, I don’t mind princess.” He moved the duvet that covered both of us revealing his tall, muscular na*ed body.
“I thought you were the Alpha king, but it looks like you are the p*****t king!” I clenched my fists on the bed and looked away.
“I hope that’s how the Druvell people thank others” I heard him, but I was still looking the other way.
“I am not that bad to look away. I am way better than your fiancée!” When he mentioned the fiancée, I remembered what happened for the last few hours.
“Where’s Adam? How long have I been out? Where’s my father?” I tried to get up, but my shoulder wasn’t allowing me to do it.
“Princess, you need to take a rest. You were unconscious for two days and you have undergone surgery” He wore a cotton pant to cover his lower parts.
“Did you win the war? Did you kill my people? What about my father?” My voice clouded with a cry. I was afraid that he might understand that I was afraid.
“Do you think that I will be here if I didn’t win?” his victories smile curved his lips into a proud smile which gave me an immense pain more than my wound. I slowly looked at myself. I was pathetic! I was in my undergarments.
“What happened? Did you….”
“Princess, I don’t need to sleep with a wounded woman to get pleasure. I have my mistresses and I love to sleep with women when they moan and scream my name” He leaned to the bed by keeping his large palms on the mattress.
“That’s enough! Where’s Adam? Where’s my father?” I cleared my throat and looked at the water cup on the side table. I can’t reach to take the cup. When a maid comes, I will ask for water. I sighed deeply and looked away with a gloomy face leaning my head back on the pillow.
“Have this!” He offered me a cup of water. Did he notice that I wanted some water?
“I don’t need it” I looked away. He forcefully lifted my head by putting his hand behind my neck and brought the cup of water closer to my lips. He made me drink a cup of water.
“Even to fight with me, you need to stay strong princess” He released my head.
“I want to see my father,” I demanded.
“That’s all? what about your fiancée?” His expressions were unreadable.
“None of your business. I want to see my father. Did you kill Adam?” I felt pity for Adam. He was here that night to see me and the wedding preparations. He shouldn’t come here.
“I don’t kill lizards princess. I am an honorable man, a wolf to fight with men and warrior women. I must say that your choice was poor princess!” He laughed like a maniac.
“So, you spared me because you think that I am a lizard too?” I clenched my teeth and moved my ears annoyingly. He smirked.
“I spare you because I have a lot of business with you” He took a white shirt to his hand and wore it. The see-through material gave a glimpse of his toned muscular body. I have never seen a strong, well-built man in my life. I thought Adam had a perfect body, but compared to him he was a lizard!
What am I thinking? I mentally slapped myself. Even though it was an arranged marriage, he was going to be my husband. He was not a bad one, it was my crazy thought that I didn’t find the husband material from him.
“Wait, you can’t leave me like this. I need answers, I want to see my father!” I yelled.
“Why I can’t leave you like this princess?!” The next moment he barged on me by keeping his hands on the wither sides of my waist leaning to my face closer. My eyes widened to find that he was having a pair of blue eyes.
What has happened to his pitch-black eyes? Was that his wolf?
“Move, I don’t like your proximity on me” I pushed him with one hand by keeping my palm on his rock-hard chest.
“Mate!” I heard an echo from my head. I became restless and found that there was no one except him and me.
“Tell me princess why shouldn’t I leave you? Did you get used to my warm embrace and you started to be lured by my handsome and strong body after sleeping for twenty-four hours?” He slowly leaned to my ear and whispered tickling his hot breath on my ear lobe.
I felt uncomfortable and my heart beat raised like a horse’s. It was pounding so loudly that I forgot to take a breath. He smiles softly.
“What did you say? Twenty-four hours? Were you here sleeping with me for twenty-four hours?” I felt disgusted about myself for sleeping with a stranger, the most horrible creature on earth for twenty-four hours.
“Yes, and we shouldn’t talk about what has happened for the last two days,” He said with a mocking smile moving his head and bringing it back right in front of my face.
“I will not spare you if you have misbehaved with me or if you have misbehaved with my kingdom and…”
“Ah ha, correction” he showed the index finger and made me stop.
“It’s not your kingdom princess, it’s my kingdom now!” He smiles. His smile was not a pure one. His handsome features were flooded with his devilish smile. If the devil has a synonym, then it’s him.
“I will send your father, but only one time, and no one was allowed here” I gave him a mocking smile this time giving my heart a breath of relief.
“Why? Don’t you believe your people?” I asked.
“No, it’s because I don’t believe in humans! You were hit by one of your arrows princess” When he said, my victory smile vanished. I remember I was hit by something, but I wasn’t sure what. I was unconscious.
“You are lying!” I said in an accused tone.
“Don’t believe me, believe what you see!” He stood up from the bed and turned back to leave outside.
“What do you mean by that? Send my father in” I commanded him.
“You are not in a position to command me, Princess Theodora. Don’t mistake my sympathy for a weakness princess” He growled at me alerting me that I was dealing with the most dangerous creature in the world.
“I am not afraid of you! Don’t show me your Alpha King attitude on me. I am not afraid of men. I am not Cinderella not Snow white, I am a princess, but not weak like them” I was afraid that he might catch the fear in my voice, but I managed to show him that I was not afraid of him.
“Of course princess. You will not be treated as a princess soon! You will be my maid for the entire life!”
