CHAPTER 4

SCOTT’S POV

“ Are you kidding me, has it gotten to this?” Travis asked.

“ If you can't let her be mine then let's make a pact. “ I told him. He didn't expect things to escalate but that was the only way for me to show him that I really cared about the new girl. I wanted her to myself.

“ What are the terms of this new pact?” Travis asked as he waved at her. She was patiently waiting for him to come back.

“ We need to talk,” I tapped him in the back.

“ Take the food to her then meet me outside briefly,” I told him and he nodded. He knew how I can be when I have things bugging me. He had to listen or else it would be war. I can ruin his chances with this beautiful girl.

I watched as he went over to her and greeted her with a smile. This is actually the first time we as twin brothers are actually falling for the same girl. It had never happened before. That's why we need terms and conditions to figure out our way forward.

I watched as Travis whispered something to her ear and she started laughing hysterically in the cutest way. I could help but feel so jealous. I wished that she was in my class and I would be the first one to get to her and not my brother.

“ What are you looking at?” Jossy, who was watching me closely, came to ask.

“ I am watching my brother and the hot girl in school. Do you have a problem with that?” I asked her.

“ You are a d**k. I hate you,” Jossy said. I could already tell that the new girl's presence took away all her self confidence. She loved attention and right now she couldn't stand the fact that I was attracted to the new girl and I was barely giving her any attention.

“I know you don't mean it,” I said and walked out when Travis signalled to me. We had to talk.

STACY’S POV

I loved how I was being treated like a queen. Apart from sitting at the cool kids table, I was also being served by the mighty Travis. That's not all, Scott was mesmerised by my beauty and it's the validation that I have always wanted for so long.

I saw the two brothers get outside but I didn't care. What I cared about was the fact that they were giving me all the attention that I have always wanted.

“ What the hell do you think you are doing?” Vanessa whom I had not seen around come to me and ask.

“ Ask her again,” Jossy joined the conversation as she folded her hands in front of her.

“ What are you talking about?” I asked as I looked around, battling my eyelids.

“ Don't think I don't see the way you are flirting with my boyfriend,” Vanessa said.

“ Your boyfriend is flirting with me, not the other way round,” I told her, maintaining eye contact with her and she couldn't take it. She grabbed her milkshake and walked away from the table.

“ I can't lie, Scott has something for you but since I have noticed that earlier, I will ensure that what he feels amounts to nothing. Vanessa might be afraid of you but I am not. You cannot show up to this school and take what is mine. I will not allow that to happen. I have dealt with women like you in the past, you are not going to be the first, so you understand?” Jossy said as he moved an inch closer to me, too close for my comfort.

“ What is going on here?” Scott asked when he found the two of us together.

“ Nothing, I was just inviting her for the party that the two of you will be hosting this weekend,” Jossy lied.

“ Okay,” Scott said, although he found it hard to believe.

“ You should come,” Jossy added before walking away as she swung her hips from side to side.

“ I hope that she has not harassed you. She gets too insecure when she sees me talking to another girl,” Scott said.

“ No, she hasn't,” I mumbled. I was no longer victim blaming. I was back for revenge and I was actually going to be the main character in this. I will not let anyone fight my battles, I come here to fight on my own and enjoy the sweet revenge that will come with this.

I am putting my cards close to my chest, no one will know what I will be up to.

“ Am I invited to your pool party?” I asked, diverting the attention from Jossy.

“ Of course you are invited,” He said with a smile and this was music to my ears. Finally, I was getting invited to pool parties. I had always dreamt of this. As far as I am here to hurt the people who hurt me in the past, I am also here to have a good time.

“ Thanks. Where is your brother? Where did he disappear to?” I asked him after looking around and finding out that Travis was not joining us anytime soon.

“ He has gone to meet his girlfriend for lunch,” He said and I was confused. That was not the plan, what changed.

“ What about you, aren't you going to meet your girlfriend for lunch?” I asked.

“ Why? When I have a pretty lady seated across from me. There is something about you Stacy. I can't tell what it is, I just feel so familiar and at ease around you, it's like we have met before,” Scott confessed and I could feel my stomach suddenly become a pit of nerves.

Is it true what they say, first love never dies. We were once madly in love, before the events of that fateful night that has scarred me to date.

“ You are wrong. We have never met before,” I mumbled.

“ My instincts have never lied to me. I know what I am feeling around you,” He revealed.
