CHAPTER 3

STACY’S POV

“ Don't throw your usual tantrums, I am not in the mood,” Travis said and Vanessa scrunched her face and walked away.I knew that she was probably going to hate me but I didn't care. She was among the girls that bullied me back then and it was a high time that she got a taste of her own medicine.

“ Thank you for being there for me. The first day of school can be a lot but here you are, standing up for me,” I whispered to him and he ended up smiling at me.

“ You are so beautiful. You don't deserve what Vanessa did. She was being mean,” He said right before the teacher came in. I couldn't help but smile. I was sure that my cheeks were crimson because I was also blushing.

I had had a boyfriend before who made me blush all the time. We took a break when I decided to come back but that doesn't mean that our love also took a break. I am in love with him and once I am done with this revenge, I will go back to him.

“ We have a new student amongst us, can you please introduce yourself,” The Maths teacher said and I was sure he was referring to me. I stood up, smiled at everyone and said my name. I wanted people to like me so that my plan would work out.

Throughout the entire lesson, I caught Travis staring at me a couple of times. I was targeting his brother Scott but it turns out that he was also interested in me. This actually takes things a notch higher. I will use him to get back at his brother. I don't care that he is in a relationship with Vanessa, this is finally my time to shine and I would not let anyone ruin this plan that I have had for years.

“ Will you sit with my brother and I during lunch time?” Travis wrote me a note and passed it to me.

I had initially thought that it would take me days before I start hanging out with them but here we are, Travis already wants me to hang out with them.

My answer was a Yes but I didn't tell him right away, I wanted him to anticipate.

When the lunch bell rang and the teacher got out of the class, Vanessa came almost immediately.

“ Baby, let's go for lunch, I am starving,” She complained as she rolled her eyes when she saw me. Clearly, she was marking her territory.

Seeing that Travis might be swayed by her PDA, I decided to give an answer to his request.

“ Let's go for lunch Travis. I would really love to join you for lunch,” I said and Vanessa was confused. She didn't understand how we got here.

“ Can we talk later Vanessa, I have to show the new girl around,” Travis said and I could see Vanessa boil with anger. I didn't care, I was pretty much enjoying the moment.

Travis stretched his hand and I interlock my fingers with his as we walked out of class, down the hallway to the cafeteria. People were staring at me, my beauty caught the attention of so many people. Apart from Wendy who wasn't quite sure that I was Sally of the past, no one suspected that I was living a lie.

Travis got a few nods here and there from the guys in our class and other classes. I had raised his playboy status because they now see him as this king who got what he wanted. This is my first day of school but he has already managed to have me by his side.

We arrived at the cafeteria, it brought me so many bad memories, where people rained food on me, where Jossy and Vanessa made me trip and fall on my stomach.

When my parents relocated, I wanted to forget about this school completely. I didn't have any friends. But years later, I realised that I had to come back, especially after the stunt that Scott pulled to reject and humiliated me. He had to pay for his actions so that he doesn't hurt another girl the same way that he hurt me.

We sat at the far end, the coolest seat and I could see other girls looking at me in admiration. I had sat at the best seat next to the handsome boys in school.

Travis offered to go get me a plate and as I sat there, smiling at whoever was looking at me, I saw him.

I could feel my heart racing and my palms suddenly become shaky. When he also saw me, I could tell that he was taken aback despite trying to hide that with a straight face.

“ You are the new girl, huh?” He asked as he came to sit next to me.

“ Yes I am, my name is Stacy,” I said, trying my best to act relaxed. The last thing that I wanted was to blow my cover and make all the years that I have worked hard to make a comeback, to go to waste.

“ Have you seen my brother?” He asked.

“ He is right there,” I pointed to where Travis was, busy fixing me a plate.

“ Cool, I will be right back,” He said as he rushed.

SCOTT’S POV

I had met so many girls before but none of them were like her. Her smile, her hair, her eyes, her body. Everything about her was beautiful. I wanted her, I wanted her to be by my side.

“ Baby, where were you? I have been looking for you everywhere,” Jossy said after she grabbed my hand to get my attention.

“ Now is not the time,” I told her.

“ Why?” She asked, arching her eyebrows in confusion.

I didn't care to reply, I rushed to Travis who was glad to see me.

“ She is the hottest girl I have ever met. You were right about her,” Travis said. He was all smiles.

“ I told you so. She is mine,” I made it clear. I couldn't imagine someone else with her, not even my own brother.

“ You must be crazy if you think that I will let her go. That is not going to happen,” Travis said, this is the first time that we were contesting over a girl.

“ Let's make a bet then,” I said. I was not ready to back down.
