CHAPTER 5

628 Words
STACY’S POV “ Deja vu moments are always there, maybe I remind you of someone from your past,” I told him, trying to stay calm so that he doesn't suspect anything about me and my identity. “ You could be right, you remind me so much of my first love,” He revealed and Mr heart dropped. “ Do you mind sharing? What was she like? What did you love about her?” I asked. I didn't get the closure that I wanted from him and I figured that this was the right time to ask. “ Well…” He wanted to answer but the bell marking the end of lunch break rang and we had to rush to class. “ Can I please see you after class?” He asked. “ I will think about it,” I said. I didn't want to make things way too easy for him. Besides, he is in a competition with his brother. This is not a romantic relationship, this is my time to play the game and have fun with the two brothers. I headed to class and true to his word, I found Vanessa and Travis together. Vanessa was seated where I was seated earlier.I went to get my book, wanting to take another seat when Vanessa slowly got off the chair and gestured to me to sit. That was unexpected. Now that the two love birds have settled their differences, I had expected that they would treat me as a wolf in sheep's clothing but that was not the case. “ I wasn't expecting that,” I mentioned it to him. “ I told her that I needed space,” He said and I was confused. Space, for what? “ Why?” I asked. “ You and I both know that there is chemistry here. I am not a player. I don't want to lead her on yet I am attracted to you,” Travis said and I was lost for words. I did not expect things to escalate this quickly. “ But you didn't have to,” I said. “ Trust me, I had to,” He said with a smile leaving me confused. I was not able to probe more about his actions because the teacher came in. Well, this went faster than I had anticipated. He was making it too easy and I didn't know if it was a good or a bad thing. ** SCOTT’S POV While everyone was running to class, I went to hide in the school garden just to catch a breath. I couldn't tell why Stacy reminded me of Sally. Sally was my first love although things turned out ugly between us. For the first time in a long time I was reminded of her and I felt really guilty for my actions. I was thinking of what to do with the feeling when Jossy showed up from nowhere. “ I knew that I would find you here,” She said, sitting next to me. “ What is it? Are you stalking me now?” I asked. I really wanted some time alone but she was not giving me the space that I needed to breathe. “ What kind of game are you playing? Huh? How would you dump me during lunch for that w***e?” She asked. “ w***e? She is not a w***e. You are the w***e,” I said. It angered me that she was catcalling Stacy yet she barely knew her. “ Are you insulting me now huh?” She asked, looking around. “ You should leave me alone,” I told her. “ After everything that I have done for you and your reputation? Don't dare me. I will reveal everything,” She threatened.
