She entered the house and was left stunned. It wasn't as classy as Aiden's home, but the green and brown of the room blended so well, giving it its own class. Just the typical modern, dark werewolf house.
She walked in between the people, admiring the beautiful halls. She didn't know what she went there for, but there was no harm in looking around. She was still looking around when she suddenly heard a voice, which she knew was directed at her. "Hey."
The woman also knew she had caused a scene because of the people's gazes on her. She just walked up to Amelia and whispered, despite her tone denoting she was angry. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be serving drinks to the guests?"
She dragged her away from the place to the kitchen. In the kitchen. "Take this tray and go serve the guest." She said, pointing towards the drink filled with different glasses of drink, but Amelia, who was still standing there, confused, just kept looking at the drink before saying. "I think there's a mistake. I'm not part of the server."
But to her surprise, the woman chuckled softly. "You're not part of the server? You must think I have time to waste here, huh?" The woman asked frustratingly before running her hands into her hair. "Then tell me. Why are you dressed in that?" She asked, referring to the maid's clothes she was putting on, which were similar to theirs.
I... She did not know what to say. How can she say that she works as a personal maid to the Alpha, and now she has been transferred to the pack's house all of a sudden? Who would believe her? She sighed as she just kept looking at the woman, who only tapped on the tray for her to carry.
She also carried it, and she walked out of the kitchen. She couldn't believe how terrible her life had become. As soon as she stepped into the hall, where the people were, different people took glasses from the tray as she walked slowly in their midst.
Not too long later, the big door opened, and she heard someone announce his arrival.
She watched as he walked towards the Luna and Beta, and at that point, she felt really confused.

He entered the room, walking past all the people staring at him in surprise. He stood in front of his mother and brother. "What's wrong? Why do you all look so surprised to see me?" He asked, looking at the both of them before looking around at the people in the room. But he didn't have to search around before he saw her. Even without setting his eyes on her, he could sense her in the room, making it feel like they were the only ones in an empty room.
He quickly looked away and focused his attention back on the people in front of him. "You're here." Even his mother was surprised. She smiled and hugged him as if she hadn't seen him in years, but still, he looked emotionless. "You're acting as if I had been lost for years."
"Do you know how happy I am to see you come to an event after a long while?" She said almost in tears but kept controlling it. She had always wanted him to go back to how he was before. The fun, laughable son she knew. And not the suddenly heartbroken, ruthless Alpha. He now seemed so distant from everyone, all because of a lady she had no choice but to approve of because of him, but seeing him there, she felt that he would surely change completely and would someday smile happily again.
Aiden just sighed and rolled his eyes. His mother had always been so emotional. He looked back at his brother. "Don't tell me you also want to shed tears." He said, but Liam could only smile.
"You could have told me you were coming," Liam said, but Aiden couldn't find any reply; instead, he asked. "Where's Jason?"
"Mom told him not to come," Liam replied, but Veronica quickly rejected it, shaking her head. "I told him not to come if he would only come to flirt with girls." She said before huffing a sigh and continuing. "You all should be serious with your lives now. Each one of you should get a good girl. If you want, I can help you arrange..."
Before she could finish her words, Liam said, "You need to attend to the guests now, Mom. Let's talk about this later." He said, and without wasting time, he dragged Aiden with him.
Veronica just stood there and watched the both of them. She was worried about their love lives. None of them seem to have good hope for love. Aiden is still dealing with heartbreak. Jason, with the womanizer part and Liam, married to his work. "Oh my goodness! Jason's own is just so terrible to even think of." She said to herself.
They moved away from their mother to another table. "Is everything okay?" Liam asked, looking at the guy, who was just sipping wine without looking at him. He knew something was going on. He had noticed him since he had been talking with their mother. His attention was not there. It felt like he was stealing glances at someone.
But before he could answer, a man walked up to them. "Alpha Aiden. Beta Liam. Good evening." The man said, to which Liam replied instead. "Good evening."
"It seems Alpha Aiden doesn't recognize me. I'm Mr. Walker, CEO of Walker Corporation. You're investing in my company." The man said this, looking at Aiden, who finally looked up at him. "Oh, you're Mr. Walker." He said, more in the form of a question, but the man just smiled.
Just when he was about to say another thing, a loud sound of glass breaking occurred, catching everyone's attention, including theirs.
"My wife? I'm sorry, that's my wife." The man said, looking at the Alpha, to excuse himself and move closer to his wife, who had caused a big scene.

"What exactly is going on?" She asked herself as she kept looking toward his side. She wanted to drop everything and stop her misery, but she couldn't, not when she had signed a contract with him. Likewise, she couldn't face him at the party or talk to him. She wanted to cry, but she couldn't.
She accepted her fate and kept walking to serve people drinks, but still, her mind wasn't on what she was doing, and she almost bumped into someone. "I'm sorry." She quickly apologized, but looking up at the person, she said, "Valerie."
The girl also looked at her and quickly turned away to leave, but Amelia pulled her back. "What are you doing here? Does Dad know you're here?" She asked, holding Valerie's arm with one hand while the other was holding the tray with two empty glasses and one with wine. She wondered what she was doing there, especially with the beautiful gown she was wearing, which she knew would be expensive, and the makeup she was putting on, which made her look almost unrecognizable.
Valerie is her stepsister, and even though they've always had issues since they were little, Amelia never hated her. And seeing her at a party like that, despite being an omega, got her worried that she might be doing something that would hurt her.
"What is it? Couldn't you even pretend you don't know me? Why ask me what I'm doing here when you're also here?" Valerie frowned angrily before running her hands into her hair. "I know. You must be working here as a maid, isn't it? Just focus on that and stop touching guests with your filthy hands." She hissed before turning around to leave, but Amelia held her hand again. "I'm just worried about you."
Before she could complete her words, Valerie took her hand instead, turned her around, and pushed her, making her fall with her face first and the tray and cups falling to the ground with a loud sound.
Ah. Amelia winced in pain before standing up slowly. She was met with different eyes staring at her, but that was not what bothered her. A woman dressed in a long black gown stared at her with so much anger. "How dare you!" As soon as she rose, a loud sound came from her cheeks. The woman had hit her hard.
She held her cheeks. Hot tears ran down her cheeks as she quickly bowed her head. "Do you know how much my gown cost, you filthy omega?!" The woman screamed as her husband, who had also run towards her, tried to control her but couldn't because of her rage. Amelia looked at the gown and saw the small stain on the lower part. The drink in the cup had mistakenly splashed on her dress when it fell to the ground.
"I'm sorry. Please forgive me." She begged with her hands rubbing against each other. She was so embarrassed that she couldn't even look up; she just kept begging. She was about to go down on her knees when she suddenly heard, "That's enough."
