They had already caused a scene, making everyone's focus on them. Even the Luna was about to stop the woman when a loud voice sounded in the quiet room, making everyone look towards the route where it came from.
"That's enough."
"Beta Liam." The woman called out with a smile, looking at the man who was already standing beside the girl.
"How much is the gown?" Liam asked, looking at the woman with no emotion.
The woman, who was also surprised, felt embarrassed. She knew she had caused a scene, which must have made the beta ask her how much she was shouting over, and not that she was pained about the clothes or worried; she just wanted to show the low-class omega a lesson. "The gown costs a fortune, Beta, but that's not even the problem. People like her need to be taught a lesson." She said, looking at Amelia, who was just looking down with tears falling out of her eyes.
Liam sighed, as if he were trying to keep his cool. "How much is it?"
At that point, the woman knew she was done for. She looked around to see different people whispering to themselves and staring at her with disgust. Even the Luna was staring at her. "One thousand dollars." She replied weakly, only to see the man put his hands into his pocket to take out a wallet. He removed some money and gave it to her without counting it, but he was sure it was more than a thousand dollars. "Take."
The woman was shocked and embarrassed. She didn't want to collect it, but rejecting it meant trouble. She quickly collected it and bowed her head slightly before moving to walk away with her husband, but before they could take two steps forward, they heard, "Don't you think you're missing something?"
The woman looked back at him, confused by what he was saying. "The slap. You've gotten your money, so it's only right she returned the slap." He said, only for the woman to scoff. "What? That omega will slap me?"
Everyone in the room was shocked. Watching the drama unfold was one thing, but the omega slapping the woman, who is also of high status in the pack, was more shocking.
Even Liam was shocked at himself, but there was nothing he could do other than save his brother's mate. He had been noticing how Aiden had been uncomfortable since he came, but seeing his expression when the lady got slapped finally confirmed his suspicion. How could he not even think of that? The lady was surely an omega, and he could not sense any wolf in her, so he would surely save her if her mate, Aiden, was holding back.
Amelia was also shocked. She looked up at the guy who was also looking at her. She shook her head in disapproval, and he also listened. He looked back at the woman. "It looks like she's not ready to waste her energy on you. But be ready to be sued for assault." He said this before looking at Amelia. He suddenly grabbed her hand and walked out of the room, leaving them all confused and shocked.
Valerie stood in the same spot she had been. She did not understand what had just happened, nor could she explain it. She just stood there, filled with different emotions.
On the other hand, Aiden, who had also been watching the whole event, also stood in one spot. His face was filled with different emotions. One of them could be referred to as anger.

She got out of the car and went straight to her room. She knew the Alpha wasn't back yet because she left him at the party and because the house was so quiet as usual.
She was feeling different kinds of emotions, but she was unreadable. Anger, sadness, exhaustion—but she just sat on the bed, staring deep into the thin air. No tears were visible in her eyes. She couldn't understand why he had sent her to the pack's house. "It's probably to see me getting humiliated." She said to herself.
Tears finally ran out of her eyes as she remembered how the beta had saved her. He even told her he would help her with suing the woman, which she later rejected, but still, she knew where she could be if he didn't help her. "If not for him." She wailed, holding her mouth as if it could stop her from crying, but it just kept getting worse.
She knew she was supposed to make dinner, but she just lay on the bed, crying until she finally slept off, but luckily for her, Aiden didn't come home that night.
The next morning, despite how angry she was still feeling, she knew she had to wake up early to cook for him. She had been told that at exactly eight in the morning, he would eat his breakfast and go straight to work, but what was more surprising to her was that he had his own meal plan, and she just had to pick from each variety of food each day. Ten minutes to eight, she had set the table and was waiting for him to come down.
She maintained a straight face as she waited for time, and as expected, at exactly eight, she heard a faint sound from the stairs. Suddenly, her heart started beating faster as she watched him walk down the stairs until he got closer to where she was to sit. "Good morning." She managed to speak out in the quiet room, but the man did not say anything. He just sat down on a chair, looking at the food.
She was about to open the food when she heard. "All because the beta saved you yesterday doesn't change anything. You're just a weak, wolfless omega, and that will always be the reason for your suffering."
Amelia looked at him. She was hoping not to say anything to him about last night, but she couldn't help but ask. "You did that yesterday just to prove that to me."
"Proof." She heard him scoff before looking up at her. "Use your words right, Omega. Being an omega will always be your offence." He said, still looking at her with no emotion, to which Amelia was also looking back at him. She wanted to ask him a question again but was cut off when she heard it. "And yes, I would have easily rejected the mate bond if it were someone else, but a weak wolfless omega, you can't go so easily."
Amelia couldn't find her voice again. She had never seen anyone as cruel as him. He was hurting her because she was an omega. She wished she had her wolf. Maybe she would end her suffering, but without her wolf, she was just a weak omega.
He opened the food, and without even touching it, he just stood up and walked out of the room.
"So he did it just because he wants to see me suffer." She said to herself, smiling bitterly as she kept looking at the food he didn't touch at all. "None of what you hope for will happen again because not a single drop of tear will come out of my eyes again." She said, talking to no one in particular.
