It was already Eleven in the afternoon when Erick arrived at my office. Sinalubong ko siya sa pinto para hindi na siya maghintay pa nang matagal. Kanina pa naman ako naghihintay at gustong-gusto ko na rin makawala sa office ko. Isa pa, gutom na rin kasi ako kaya ayoko nang mag-aksaya ng oras. Wala naman kaming ibang hinihintay.
“How is your day?” he asked as he pressed the button of the elevator.
“Boring. Didn’t I mention today is my day off?”
“You did. What do you usually do on your day off?”
I thought for a second. “Go somewhere far?”
“Alone?”
I bit my lower lip. “With Nash.”
He nodded slowly. “I just asked. But well, you will not be bored this afternoon because you will meet my uncle.”
