When it was time to eat, I noticed Imani looking a little nauseous, I was sure my grandson was giving her grief about not having his favorite, so I linked Marla and told her to bring some out for the both of us.
“Princess Luna Imani, the queen has requested these little treats for your little guy.” Marla said with a smile placing the Blue Berry Muffin and small bowl of grapes first in front of her then in front of me.
“Thank you, Marla, I guess it is his snack time.” Imani said with a smile and Marla nodded.
“Thanks mom, I appreciate you thinking about her.” Christopher said with a smile, and I nodded.
“So, you guys are having a boy, huh? I’m so sorry for being my name’s sake MIA through all your special moments. Congratulations for everything.” Mia said smiling at Christopher and he shook his head with a smile at her.
“No apologies are necessary. I understand that there was just a lot going on and I don’t think I would be able to celebrate anything if I had lost my mother or father. We knew you would come back around eventually, and we were all ready to welcome you back with open arms, judgement free.” Christopher said and as I looked around the table, my whole family was nodding their heads at her in agreement with Christopher’s statement.
A few minutes later, the kitchen staff brought out our dinner serving the birthday twins first then Caelan and me before everybody else. Dinner was very pleasant, we all talked and laughed and ate our food in a very upbeat mood. It was funny when Lydia told us a little about Cyir’s trying to help in the kitchen back at their pack and how he always gets kicked out and he pouts.
“I don’t pout. I’m an Alpha” Cyir playfully yelled across the table.
“We’ll I’m an Alpha and I do pout.” Caelan yelled back at our son.
“Yep, me too.” Christopher chimed in and we all looked at Kurt, then we all laughed when he responded.
“Yeah, I pout too maybe more than this beauty sitting next to me.” Uncle Kurt said smiling brightly at Mia.
“Well, I’m about to pout if I don’t get some cake in me and soon.” Christian said and after a very brief silence the entire room erupted in laughter.
A few seconds later, the kitchen staff walked in pushing the two cakes made specially for the twins, each saying happy birthday and the name of the twin it is for.
“Happy Birthday to you… Happy Birthday to you… Happy Birthday dear Prince Christian and Princess Angel… Happy Birthday to you.” The kitchen staff started singing and we joined in with them.
“Make a wish my darlings.” I said and within seconds they both blew out their candles.
“How does it feel to be officially thirteen years old, Bro? Sis?” Amir asked the twins and they both just hunched their shoulders.
“I miss all of you. It really isn’t the same being all split up and across the globe.” Cyir said looking at each of us.
“Yeah, I miss you guys too. You are all staying a couple days, right?” Angel said and her face lit up with happiness as they all nodded at her.
After we ate the cake and Ice Cream, we continued to talk about what’s been going on at the different home fronts.
“Hey Bro, I was wondering if it would be okay for me to spend the summer at Silver Moon. I can help at the firm and catch up with a few friends out their?” Christian asked but looked at me and his father for support.
“I think that’s a great idea but since we are on the topic, I think now is the best time for the two of you to decide which home front you will call home. The Palace and Silver Moon will always be your homes and I think I can say Golden Moon can be added to that list, but you can only physically stay in one at a time. Christian, your mother and I, have discussed this more recently in depth because we can see you are very unhappy here and at WRA. Christopher proposed that you come to stay with him at Cyir’s Alpha ceremony, and to be honest we didn’t give it much thought, but it’s been a couple months and you seem to get more and more unhappy as the days go by.” Caelan said looking at our youngest sincerely.
“We will be fine with whatever decision either of you make and we will support it no matter what. I would be lying if I said I didn’t want all of my babies with me until we all take our last breaths but that’s just because you are all my heart beats and I love having you all around. So, it’s normally ladies first but we’re giving you the first choice Christian. What home front will you be calling your home?” I asked him and he looked at Angel.
“Sorry twin, this is your decision and your decision alone. I will support you regardless.” Angel said looking at him sincerely and he then looked at Christopher and a smile begin to form on his face as his eyes begin to light up.
“I want to go back to Silver Moon. I love being a data analysis. I have researched the FBI High School Student Program and Astoria High School is a participating school, so if I enroll there, I can apply for the program. Plus, if I am being honest, I would really love to be closer to my brothers. I miss them every single day. I didn’t realize the bond we had until I couldn’t go hide in Cyir’s closet and scare the living day lights out of him anymore or knock-on Christopher’s door and go in his room and talk to him about everything under the sun. Yes, we have our phones, and we talk regularly but it really just isn’t the same as in person.” Christian said and we all felt his sincerity.
“I have to admit, I really miss you hiding in my closet and scaring the living day lights out of me. I miss you too. I miss all of you every single day and I agree phone calls are not the same.” Cyir said and stood from his seat and walked over to Christian pulling him into a tight brotherly hug
“Yeah, our conversations use to be wild and although we still have them from time to time over the phone. Something about the good night hugs in person that just makes it all feel different over the phone. I wish we could all be together again, but I know we are and if I’m being honest, we are closer now than we have ever been. So, if you want to come home, I will welcome you with open arms. Mom and dad, I will protect him and keep him safe. That is my word.” Christopher said then walked up to Christian engulfing him and Cyir into a brotherly hug and I let the tear threatening to fall, slide down my cheek.
“I think you should follow your dreams twin and I’m going to follow mines. I sincerely want to be Queen one day and I believe WRA is my best chance at being a great one. I’ve been thinking about this for a while and although I miss you guys and I will miss you deeply Christian. I think it would be best for me to stay here at the Palace and visit you all at every chance I get. So, bro keep my room at Silver Moon just as I left it and Lydia, I’m going to need a special room when I visit you guys. Okay?” Angel said and the whole room laughed at her comment about her living quarters in both pack houses.
“Well, I think that settles that conversation. I’m happy with both of your choices and I support your decisions. Christian you will stay in Silver Moon when we all visit to welcome your nephew. Classes at WRA ends on May 20th and restart on June 6th giving us almost two weeks to enjoy family time.” I said with a bright smile, and they all smiled back at me.
~ End of Flash Back: Present Day Three Years Later ~
Angel POV
I can’t believe mom and dad agreed to let Christian and I celebrate our birthday this year on a full family vacation and dinner party in Europe, starting in Barcelona. We are going when classes let out, so we don’t miss school but it’s still great regardless.
“Good Morning and Happy Birthday Twin.” I heard Christian’s voice as he peaked his head into my bedroom.
“Go away, I still have an hour of sleep to go.” I yelled pulling the pillow over my head.
“Now, how much fun would that be?” I heard Christopher say before I felt Christian climb onto the bed to jump on it and Christopher started to tickle me until I gave in.
“Good Morning Sis, Happy 16th Birthday, sleepy head. Your nephew keeps asking for the birthday girl.” Imani said sitting little Caelan on my bed beside my pillow, once Christopher let me come up for air.
“Happy Birdday awtee Angel” Little Caelan said with a bright smile and a small daisy in his hand. He is just so adorable for an almost three-year-old.
“Thank you, baby. Let me see what you got there.” I said and he pushed the daisy into my face as I grabbed it and smelled it.
“It’s a flauer. Daddy say girls like flauers.” Little Caelan said with a smile, and I smiled back.
“Flower, Daddy says girls like flowers.” Christopher corrected him gently with a smile.
“This one is called a Daisy baby. Can you say Daisy?” Imani said with a glare at Christopher.
“Dayce” Little Caelan said, and Imani smiled.
“Daisy. Try it again baby.” Imani said and I smiled at the interaction between the two of them.
“Daisy.” Little Caelan said and my brother smiled like he had just won the lottery.
“Good job buddy. That’s what it is. It’s a Daisy.” Christopher said with so much excitement.
After a few minutes of watching them, I finally climbed out of bed and walked into the bathroom to turn the shower on.
“Let’s give aunt Angel some time to get dressed. She will come out to play with you then, okay buddy?” Christopher said as he picked Caelan up in his arms.
“Yes, I will be out in thirty minutes Cae. Can you wait that long for me?” I asked my nephew and he smiled and nodded his little head.
When I finished my shower, I joined my family for breakfast. We didn’t have plans for today because I had school, it’s a Wednesday. Christian is only here because they have faculty meetings this week at Astoria High and classes are not in session. When I was done eating, Christopher volunteered to ride with me to school. He wanted to check out my campus. I know as well as he does that checking out my campus is code for letting all the boys on campus see that if they try anything a guy in the likes of my brother would be back here to end them.
Windsor’s Royal Academy isn’t your normal high school academy. This school is full of entitled little pricks and brats, but it doesn’t bother me because I just ignore all of them. I go to school to be educated and prepped for queen status, not really to make friends. I do have one friend here, her name is Hope, Hope Carrington. Like me she is only here to be prepped for queen status. I know Hope isn’t human, but I can’t figure out exactly what species she is and without my wolf yet, I can’t smell her scent. Whatever she is, she is pure and there is a light that follows her.
When we arrived at WRA, Christopher stepped out of the vehicle first. When I finally climbed out of the vehicle, I noticed a handful of the senior girls all walking towards my brother, and I quickly walked over to him and grabbed his hand to walk to the headmistress office.
“You have to get a pass from the headmistress office. Let’s go.” I said pulling him into the direction of the office and away from the girls.
“You know I could have handled that on my own right?” Christopher asked me with a smirk, and I shook my head.
“Those girls are not friendly, and it will just make matters worse when you are not here.” I said in a low tone, looking away from him.
“What do you mean, those girls are not friendly? Are they bullying you? Tell me now so I can put an end to it right now.” Christopher said and I could feel his anger radiating off of him.
“They are bullies, but they don’t bully me, only my friend Hope. I’ve had to put one or two of them in their place before because they were picking on her. The headmistress already knows about it, but the entitled little brats get away with it every time.” I said soft but firmly to Christopher and his breathing returned to normal.
A few minutes later we were walking into the headmistress office and five minutes after that we were walking out. The headmistress gave Christopher a day pass, so he decided to spend the day with me. I didn’t mind because it’s my birthday anyway. Hope was waiting outside of my first class with a gift bag and two birthday balloons when I arrived.
“There she is… My best friend and today’s birthday girl. Hello Gorgeous. Happy Birthday!” Hope said with a smile handing me my gift and balloons but never taking her eyes off of Christopher.
“Thank you Hope. Let me introduce you to my oldest brother Christopher. He’s staying with me today on campus. Hope… Christopher… Christopher… Hope.” I said and my brother stuck his hand out to shake hers.
“Nice to meet you, Christopher.” Hope said shyly and shook his hand.
“Nice to meet you also, Hope.” Christopher said with a smile.
“Okay birthday girl, I will see you and your brother at quad period.” Hope said before giving me a hug and walking away towards her class.
“Hope is in the grade level under mines, I’m a junior, and she is a sophomore. We only have lunch and quad period together.” I said looking at Christopher and he smiled before we walked into my first class which is governmental studies.
The rest of the day went by without any issues. The brat pack attempted to approach my brother again at lunch but once they saw he wasn’t paying them any attention they all went their own separate ways, leaving my brother, Hope, and I to enjoy our lunch in peace.
After the last class, Christopher informed me that mom had texted him telling him that we were going to have and informal dinner tonight since we had already planned a formal birthday dinner party in Barcelona in about a month. When Christopher and I got back to the Palace we heard the pitter patter of little feet coming towards us.
“Awtee Angel… Daddy… Unco Cyear and baby James is here.” Little Caelan said running and jumping into his daddy’s arms.
“Is that so? Where is mommy buddy?” Christopher asked Little Caelan with a smile.
“Trying to keep up with him. Babe, he’s getting faster by the day.” Imani said with a chuckle grabbing little Caelan out of his father’s arms while my brother just smiled at his family with awe and love in his eyes.
“Why is everybody here today?” I asked looking at Christopher and he smirked.
“Well Christian wanted to be with his twin today for their birthday and he isn’t allowed to travel alone on private jets yet and when I told Cy he told me he was coming too. So now we are all here.” Christopher said and I laughed.
“It’s not a big deal bro. It’s just another Birthday dinner.” I said and he nodded then smiled.
“But it is a big deal sis, today you turned sixteen. This is your last major childhood birthday by the time we come together again like this, you will be turning eighteen. So just enjoy the day with us your family and let us honor and celebrate you guys.” Christopher said putting his arm around my shoulder as we walked to greet the rest of the family inside the dining room.
