35. How to Believe?

Diana didn’t budge even the slightest as she remained pliant to the ground but steadfast in Adrian’s arms which were her only support.

Adrian on the other hand didn’t even know if he was on earth or transcended to another planet.

He felt a different feeling rejuvenated inside him.

Was it joy?

He questioned his own self, as he felt his heart flutter and burst in to what he knew were not flames because flames for him were burning in his veins, as his blood gushed with warmth and ran down in to his pants in between his legs, hardened up his c**k.

His eyes shot wide open, as he realized that just one single touch on Diana’s lips made him harden up right away. He didn’t remember the last time he had a hard on this quickly for anybody.

He was someone who was always in control of his desires but with Diana, he always lost control and he thought that even though things were different just then but he was entirely wrong.

But the exuberant feeling that enveloped him, made him feel like nothing had ever.

He thought that to get more power was made him happy but he just didn’t feel like so. in fact, he felt completely and totally out of time and space of his life. He left that he was floating on an alternative rock and was just not himself anymore. Perhaps, kissing Diana was what brought him true and perfect happiness.

He closed his eyes once again and began softly moving his lips, as he held on to her waist tightly and pulled her body more and closely in to his, showing her through his vivacious gestures, how badly he wanted her.

Diana was still someone who was his nexus event and made him act out of his manner and out of his mind.

Diana felt at loss of her own self, as she continued to very gently move her lips along with Adrian’s.

She planted her hands firmly on his shoulder and tried to keep up with the pace that he was moving with but something hit Diana’s mind.

She felt shocked and pulled out of her trance all of a sudden.

As she kept her eyes closed, she wasn’t seeing flowers and just butterflies anymore. In fact, she had a reckoning and a rmemebrance of the past.

It all flet too real and nostalgic.

All of that had happened before, where Adrian had kissed her spontaneously and enveloped her in his arms. Where he had made out with her previously just like this and then dragged her towards his bedroom.

All of those things came back to her in flashes.

One after the other, Adrian took her clothes off even though she was shy and tried to hide her body away from him, since she was anorexic and had severe body image issues. She also felt tremor, wondering whether Adrian would question the scars that she had all over her body but Adrian only dimmed the lights low and guaranteed her that he wouldn’t see a thing. He just wanted one thing from her.

He made her feel loved, cared and cherished.

He did all those things that he had never done for her or anybody and made her feel safe and heavenly.

He took her to his bed, laid her down and took away, what was the only thing left of her dignity.

He made her feel entirely stripped and void of any character, as he took her soul, her girlhood and her dignity away from her.

Flashes of that wretched night that still gave Diana shivers and chills down her spine, came in rushing to her, making her feel suffocated.

Her eyes shot blood red and water collected in the corner of her sockets, as she remembered that all of that way too familiar to her and all of that had already happened before.

Adrian had already taken advantage of her and he had left her as well.

Flashes of what he did after that night, came in stronger than anything to Diana, reminding her what Adrian did when the next morning she tried to approach him.

She felt like her heart had stopped beating as she could clearly and loudly heard the echoes of the way the entire school mocked her, when she laid down on her knees, broken in to shambles and completely stripped away from any ounce of humane feeling that she was left with, that Adrian took from her, masticated it and threw it away as if it was nothing and rubbed it in a vicious manner that Diana and her life was nothing but a speck of waste that did not matter to Adrian at all.

Diana began shivering as she felt out of breath, which only made her come to her senses and realize that the monster who broke her entirely.

She was nothing but a mere tweak and he was pure blazing fire and he turned her in to ashes and he blew those ashes away in to thin dust, not caring how much badly and deeply he had hurt Diana,

Feeling disgusted with her own self that she once again fell in to the trap of the same man who broke her, she pushed Adrian away, making him stumble back and took him entirely by surprise.

The band that was playing the music immediately stopped and taking the hint from Diana and Adrian’s expressions, they immediately emptied the roof top and left the two lovers all alone.

Once Diana was alone with Adrian, she looked deeply at his face.

He was handsome, just like a demon should be to attract a prey and Diana would always be the one to get hunted, because she was poor and weak. And Adrian would always remain in power but she needed to snap herself out of things.

“What do you want?” she came straight down to the point, making Adrian look at her in sheer audacious surprise.

“What?”

“Why are you after me?” she yelled at Adrian, making him feel lost.

“I told you…” he tried to come up with the answer that he believed would fit right but he was completely lost and so was the guy in his ear, who didn’t know how to react when his boss started kissing Diana.

David patted Jared’s shoulder and chimed like a misogynist male would, stating that their boss was showing his moves but Jared knew that the way Adrian looked at Diana before kissing her, was something occult and auspicious.

The look that Adrian had in his eyes and the camera angle with which Jared had witnessed all of that, it showed Adrian’s eyes clear as a day.

There was a gleam in his eyes and a twinkle in them before he kissed Diana and it made Jared lose words. He didn’t know why exactly he was shocked or maybe confused but seeing his boss being this gentle and in to another woman only made him feel suspicious towards Adrian.

He cleared his throat and got his head together, deciding to jump in and save the situation.

“Adrian! Repeat after me.”

He called in to Adrian’s ear who felt his confidence coming back to his body, as he believed that Jared would take care of things.

“I love you Diana and that is the only reason why I am here and I am doing all of this.”

Adrian stated, still pressing on the same statement but Diana only scoffed back at him as she heard his words.

“Love me! My foot! You don’t love anyone but your own self.” She reminded him, making him look at her in sheer surprise.

Jared was rendered silently as those lines seemed to do nothing but only piss Diana off.

“You really want me to believe you? after knowing that you have the tendency to make someone feel special, give them momentary love and affection and make it seem like your feelings were always genuine and then just throw them away, humiliate them like they are some sort of trash. I know you Adrian! As I said before, I know you better than anyone. Maybe, better than you know your own self. I know the kind of the person you are. There is nothing about you that should be believable. Everything about you is a hoax and everything you do is only to please this impudence of yours. Do you really think I would believe you after you…”

She paused not having enough guts and courage in her to speak any further, reminded of what Adrian did and how he did it.

She immediately turned her reddened face away and shut her eyes close, as thick tears ran down her face.

She immediately turned away and walked back towards the table and Adrian stood stuck to his place, reminded of how horribly and terribly he treated Diana.

She must’ve felt stripped, humiliated and haunted by his actions that were ghastly and extensively brash. She shouldn’t have been made feel so low and used when she was already walking around on tip toes. He remembered, thinking only a few hours ago that she settled for nothingness. She settled for not being hit or abused and for her if someone is abusing her verbally is still better than the hurt and the a***e that she took and tolerated for years through the hand of her own father.

He used to find her horrible and pesky and never knew that it was actually him all along who the horrible person. He treated her in such an abrash manner without considering her feeling. He never actually considered her as a normal human being and never brought her feelings in to consideration.

He was never a good human being who would take care of other people’s feelings and Diana was just one of those people. He was trained to be meticulous and vicious. To not care, who he is hurting or who is hurt by his behavior and that was something that helped him climb up the ladder to the CEO but then one thing alone hit him hard and already all that he had worked hard to built was being put in to question.

He always knew and was cognizant of the fact that his feelings were malicious and he was an inconsiderate human being but he wasn’t going to act indifferent to Diana, not anymore. Especially after learning what he did to her when she was already suffering from a***e and maltreatment.

Her reaction was justified and while Jared thought that Diana’s words were miscellaneous and cryptic towards Adrian and her reaction was abrupt and could lead to his boss hating the woman and not even bother to look at her again. He felt worried that all that they h ad worked hard for was going to go down the drain but what Adrian did next not only surprised Jared but even Adrian his own self.
