Hey Stranger

Amelia's p.o.v

When I get home Clara is there with her son and she is resting her legs on the couch. She is currently pregnant again. She fell in love with a human named Andy when she turned 18 and found out he was her mate, but she still hasn't told him who she truly is, but besides that, they moved fairly quickly. She was pregnant right away and got pregnant quickly again after she gave birth. I sit next to her and rub her belly and then grab my nephew. He is so cute. I see him and think that if I hadn't lost my pup, he or she would be just a couple of months older. Clara tells us how her baby daddy still doesn't want them to move in together and how he is working graveyard, so he can't help her during the nights and some days doesn't even show up in the day time to see them either. The man is cool, we have all met him, but I swear something does seem a little off with him, but maybe we just don't trust him because he is human. Clara on the other hand loves him. "Look where I was invited to" I tell them and hold up the invitation. Wolf grabs it and reads it out loud. "You are my plus one Wolf" I tell him and he groans. "Do I have to go?" he asks me. I nod. "I need you there incase anything goes wrong." I tell him. He just stares at me. "Amelia, nothing is going to go wrong." he says. "Melly, you are really going to put yourself in that situation?" Clara asks me. I nod. "I can't miss his Alpha ceremony even if he has a mate and all that. Maybe we can be friends. We grew up together. We are grown now. I can be there for him and be just fine." I tell them, lying through my teeth. "I feel sorry for him. His mate was fùcking all of the Alpha's at the training camp. She offered herself to me many times." Wolf says. I think back to what Lexi told me at the castle. "Please tell me you didn't fùck her" I ask him. "Of course not. I don't need those problems. I felt sorry for him, until I talked to him. I might not like the guy but atleast he's straight up and I can respect that." Wolf says. I want to know what they talked about, but I don't want to ask. I don't want to look too eager or desperate so I change the subject. "I have a question, should we all move back to the pack? Would you guys like that?" I ask them. "Yes" they both answer and I smile. Yeah, I think it's time to return home. "Maybe we can get you a house and your baby daddy can finally move in. We can shift infront of him and scare the shìt out of him" Wolf says and we burst out laughing while Clara glares at us. Okay sometimes we still act like kids, but only around eachother.

The next couple of days at work are slow. Much of the same things. I go shopping friday after work and buy myself some cute outifts. I go to a boutique mom and Lexi took me to my whole life to buy dresses for events. They always have the best here. I am not sure what I want to wear yet, so I plan to get a little bit of everything, just incase. "Amelia, Luna Lexi left these dresses here for you" she tells me. I look at her in shock. How did Lexi know I would come here? Or that I even would come here. "She asked that you wear this one tomorrow. Everything is already paid for" she tells me. Of course it is. I swear Lexi has always been like my second mother and she is always taking care of me and making sure I am okay, even now that I am an adult. I head home and spend the afternoon just chilling and rearranging my closet. I will have to start packing soon. Wolf jumps on my bed. "I brought you food" he says and I decide now is a good time to take a break. "You ready to join the elites?" he asks me and I nod. "I'm so ready to take down that group. They are harming too many people wolf. Their eyes when they come out of there. I can't even imagine what they go through" I tell him. I take a bite of my food and this is delicious. "I am a little nervous to become an elite though, we are still pretty young, but it is good for our pack though. We can go back and teach them what we learn. We will be stronger as a pack." I tell him and he agrees. "Melly, I need to tell you something before we go to Black River tomorrow" he says. I stare at him, waiting to hear what he has to say. "I don't know how to tell you this, but I feel like you should know that Miles and I had a heart to heart one night at Alpha academy. That man loves you is all I can tell you, because everything else I do not think he would want me repeating, but he was really hurt that you wouldn't talk to him or reply to his text messages or answer his calls. He was really upset about the pup too Mells. I don't think either of you ever got closure, maybe going there tomorrow is a good idea. You can both talk and clear the air Melly. Look, I love you more than anyone in the world Melly and I am about to be honest here, you changed after everything that happened and I completely understand, but I want to see you smile again. A true, genuine smile. I want you to be happy." he tells me. "Wolf, thanks, but I am fine. Maybe I can talk to him some other time. Tomorrow is his day. All about him." I tell him. We finish eating and clean up. He leaves to his room and I lie in bed thinking everything over. He doesn't love me, he can't. The mate bond would be too strong. His wolf wouldn't allow him to love me or anyone who isn't his mate.

I sit here, getting ready. The dress is a beautiful long grey dress. I know it is or atleast it was his favorite color when we were younger. That is probably why his mom chose it for me. I curl my long hair and do my makeup. Once I am ready I walk out to meet with Wolf so we can get going. It is already getting late. I swear we are late to everything. This I do not plan on missing so I link Wolf who links back that he is ready. We get going and I am getting so nervous. This will be the first time I see him in a long time. It's been years. Since his 18th birthday actually. Wow. We drive into Black River and all of the memories from my childhood come flooding back. I used to have such a great time when I would come here. We park and they tell us where the ceremony is being held. I get more nervous. I hope Miles isn't upset that his mom invited me. I know she said he is having problems with his mate, but what if it isn't true. Lexi wouldn't lie to you. Ada says and that reassures me that I am doing the right thing. "Calm down, I can feel the nerves raidiating off you" Wolf links me. I take a deep breathe in and out.

They set up the back area of the pack beautifully There's round tables all over the place with grey and navy colors. There's so many people here. "Dang, mom and dad are sitting at the Alpha's table" Wolf says and I look over and my eyes connect with his. My heart starts beating wildly. He looks so different than when I last saw him. He is a grown man now, not that teenager I knew. He looks bigger, stronger, so much more handsome. I smile and he smiles back. Well in his own way becasue Miles isn't someone who ever smiles, but I know his little smile anywhere. "Come on, lets go say hi" he says. We start walking over to them and I can't take my eyes off him. He doesn't take his eyes off me either. I take him in real quick. He has on a navy blue suit with a white shirt and a grey tie and hancherchief. He is wearing black shoes and his hair is cut short on the sides and a little longer in the top. We get close and everyone around me disappears. All I see is him. He walks over to me "Hey Stranger" he says and engulfs me in a hug.
