Joy's p.o.v

Stop speaking to my mate that way My wolf Adolpha yells at me. "Shut up you stùpid mutt, how could you want him?" I ask her. He's perfect. Look at him. He's so strong and so smart. You need to drop this act and appreciate and love him before someone else comes along and snatches him up. She tells me. Ha "Like any she wolf in her right mind would want him" I tell her. "Plus we are having a pup with River. We just need him to realize how good we are together and claim us. I have until this saturday to convince him, if not I will have no choice than to sleep with this guy and make him believe this pup is his." I tell her. She whimpers are drops our connection. I know she wishes this pup was her mates, but they aren't good enough. I don't want his pups. "Look Miles, lets just keep things how they are. We will figure out a way around the bond so we can both benefit from the moon goddess pairing us together without having to actually be mates and do things that mates do. I will just be Luna and you the Alpha." I tell him and push him to the side and walk out. I see that his mother is standing here. Was she here the whole time or is she walking by? I put my sweet face on and greet her. "Good afternoon Luna Lexi. How was your day?" I ask her. "Hello Joy, my day was good. Have you seen my son?" she asks me, but I notice that she eyes me with a weird expression. "He is in there we were just together talking about our ceremony. He is so excited." I lie to her. "I bet. These are very special moments in your young lives." she tells me. "I finished the seating chart and I am sitting your parents at the table with us and some of our closest friends" she tells me and I nod. "Sounds great" I tell her. I need to fake it incase things with River don't work out, then noone will have a reason to doubt me. Maybe I should start being nice to Miles too, but it's so hard. I can't even look at him. His face isn't bad, but I can't get the picture of the scars on his back out of my head. Nope, it just won't work out. I need to find a way to get River to claim me and our pup. "Oh by the way I am having my friend come over with your dress for the ceremony. Every Luna wears it. It's a tradition" she tells me and I nod. I am sure it will be a beautiful dress. I excuse myself to go call him and Luna Lexi goes into the library where her son is.

Alexis p.o.v

"Wow" I say as I walk in. Miles is reading a book. I quickly send a text to the girl from the boutique where I get my dresses from and ask her to make me the ugliest dress ever for Joy. "Son, I heard everything" I tell him. He doesn't even look at me. I know he is embarrassed. "She's wrong you know, there's nothing wrong with you. The right person will love you. Just reject her and move on with your life son. Sometimes relationships don't work even if it is with your mate. Ask your aunt and uncle Alexa and Jonathan. Both of them didn't work out and found themselves being second chance mates." I tell my son. "Mom, no-one but Melly will ever love me and I lost her already. Plus, the one thing Joy is right about are my scars, people are afraid of them. They look disgusting. I look like I belong in a horror movie" he tells me. "Oh stop that Miles, they don't even look that bad." I tell him. He doesn't say anything. "Well cheer up son, I have a surprise for you" I tell him. "What is it?" he asks me. "Well, the thing is you have to wait until your Alpha ceremony for it to arrive." I tell him. I stand up and walk out to look for Damien.

Logan's p.o.v

I get off the phone with Melly who was driving to her apartment that she shares with Wolf and Clara. She is going to help Wolf finish packing. He moves back to the packhouse and takes over as Alpha next weekend. I just wish she would come home as well. She distanced herself alot, but she can still go to work, do her job and live here. When she came to me about opening a bar here on the property, I jumped on it. First of all, it is a great idea to help the pack bring in money and second of all maybe she will want to take over it. I can only hope. We are actually almost finished with it. We will have the grand opening the day before the Alpha ceremony. It's going to be perfect. I get back to work and don't even notice the time has passed by and it is now time for dinner. "Hey baby" My mate Dominique walks in and says "Hey baby, what are you doing?" I ask her. "Nothing much, just came from shopping. I had to get a dress for Miles and Wolf's Alpha ceremonies" she says. "I do not know if I am going to attend the ceremony at Black River" I tell her. She gasps. "Logan, you will attend that ceremony." she yells. "Domi, this boy got my babygirl pregnant and she ended up with a broken heart. She lost her pup and moved away from us. I know it is so she wouldn't be running into him and his mate" I tell her. Does she not understand how much this affected me? This was my princess that got hurt. He got a mate. He didn't lose anything. My babygirl is the one who lost everything. "Logan, we do not know everything. From what I heard Miles and his mate aren't doing very well in their relationship." She tells me. "I do not care Dominique. I do not even like talking about him. I am just so angry at the situation and I am trying to convince Melly to come back home. I built her bar and it is just about ready. We even named it MoonShine like she wanted. I am going to surprise her with it when she comes home for the ceremony" I tell my mate who just smiles. "I love that you go above and beyond for her" she says and gives me a soft kiss. "I will do anything to protect her and wolf as well. He might not be our by blood, but he is our pup too and Melly accepted him as family if she gave him the pack. She is so amazing for that too. I know he will be a great leader." I tell her. "We do have some pretty awesome pups." she says. She kisses me again. "Let skip dinner and go up to our room" I whisper in her ear and she giggles and nods her head. I am still crazy for this woman even after all of these years.
