05 - A Strange Feeling

1120 Words
Cedric continued to pull Cassie away from the villagers, he didn't care about the sound of the girl's screams who kept begging to be let go, Cassie even tried to struggle several times but in reality it was in vain because Cedric's strength was undoubtedly more significant than the girl's. "Where are you taking me?!" Cassie looked panicked when she saw the horse-drawn carriage in front of her. Cassie was sure it belonged to the royal people who were now carrying her. But the question is, why should Cassie come with them? "Tie her up," Cedric ordered David as he handed Cassie over to him. “Hey, what are you doing?! Why do I have to be tied up like this?!” Cassie doesn't accept that she is being treated as a prisoner. Is being Evelyn's daughter a mistake? "Let me go! You have no right to treat me like this!” Cedric pulled Cassie's arm roughly, then looked at her sharply. "You're my prisoner now, so I have the right to do whatever I want to you," Cedric replied, every word he said was completely of emphasis. But Cassie dared to look back at Cedric straight into his eyes, she replied, "I don't know what business you have with my mother, but you have no right to make me a prisoner just like that because I don't know anything about your problems. Was being Evelyn's daughter a mistake? I can't even choose who I'm born to." Cedric was silent, staring at Cassie without expression for a moment, but Cedric clearly heard what the girl had said. The next minute, Cedric immediately turned his gaze towards David. "David, also close her mouth so she won't talk nonsense during the trip." Cassie's eyes were perfectly round, but because she couldn't do anything, the girl surrendered when David covered her mouth with a cloth as Cedric had ordered. Cassie was taken to the horse-drawn carriage, and Cedric was already there. Cedric watched Cassie as the girl got on, but Cassie only glanced at him. Even if I was honest, Cassie was very reluctant to be in the same carriage as Cedric. They'd only met today, but Cassie already hated that man. During the trip, Cassie and Cedric were silent. Cassie had been facing forward, she didn't bother to look at Cedric. But unlike Cedric, the man kept glancing at Cassie, whether consciously or not. 'Why can't I take my eyes off that girl? The scent of roses hasn't disappeared since then, because we are close, I can smell Cassie's pheromones more strongly. This is strange, I've never felt like this before.' In silence, Cedric wondered in his heart. Feelings like this were very foreign to the man, he never felt like continuing to look at a girl, Cedric also never felt like continuing to smell someone's pheromones, in fact Cedric usually tended to stay away from women because according to him women were very troublesome. But why did it feel so different when he met Cassie? Why does it feel like Cedric wants to keep watching that girl non-stop? Even now, Cedric felt annoyed by the silence, he wanted to hear Cassie's voice again even though the girl kept talking to him in a high tone. “Where is Evelyn now?” Cedric finally asked Cassie, there was no topic to discuss, so the only thing connected between them was about this issue. Unfortunately, Cassie was silent, because the girl didn't hear or was pretending. “Hey, I'm talking to you!” Cedric spoke again, this time sounding annoyed because Cassie was ignoring him. Cassie immediately turned around and rolled her eyes, indicating that her mouth was covered with a cloth so she couldn't speak. Cedric, who saw this, immediately cleared his throat briefly. Still, he also moved to remove Cassie's mouth covering so that the girl could speak freely now. “Why did you open the cover? I don't want to talk to you, so just put it in my mouth again," Cassie said sarcastically. At first, Cassie felt very afraid of Cedric, especially when they met in the kitchen some time ago. But now that somehow that fear has disappeared, Cassie feels very brave to fight Cedric, because according to Cassie, Cedric is quite stupid. He doesn't look scary at all if you look closely. Cedric chose to ignore Cassie's sentence and kept repeating his question. “Where is Evelyn now?” "I don't know," Cassie answered. Cedric chuckled. “I will give you one more chance, so answer properly, where is Evelyn?” “I told you that I don't know!” Cassie's voice rose. “Even if I knew her whereabouts, I wouldn't tell you.” Without warning, Cedric took out his sword and pointed it at Cassie in just a few seconds. Cassie immediately froze and held her breath because she was shocked by the attack. Her life was almost lost, if Cassie had moved even a little, the tip of the sword would have directly pierced her left eye. “I don't think this is the right time for you to provoke my emotions. Maybe you think I won't hurt you, but you don't even know my true nature. So, speak properly Cassie, I won't hesitate to kill you if you make me angry," Cedric spoke firmly, the man's eyes were also very sharp looking straight at Cassie. Cassie's fear that had disappeared before returned with just one attack. Cedric finally withdrew his sword when he saw Cassie falling silent with her body trembling slightly. Cedric had to admit that Cassie had tremendous guts for daring to speak so boldly to him. Still, the girl would immediately shut up after Cedric let out a little rudeness from his Alpha side. Now Cedric knows how to deal with Cassie in the future if her behavior returns like this. "What exactly is your business with my mother? What was the reason that made you look for her?" Cassie suddenly asked, her voice still shaky, but she still had the courage. However, Cassie felt like she needed to know about this to think about it. The Evelyn that Cassie knows is a very warm person. Cassie and Evelyn have never been involved in any problems. Evelyn was a perfect mother, so Cassie doubted she would cause problems with people from the Kingdom. “Why didn't you answer me? Is it possible you don't have a clear reason for arresting her?” Cassie asked again because Cedric was just silent. Cedric took a small breath, he watched Cassie seriously. "If I said that I wanted revenge on Evelyn because she killed my mother, would you tell me where she was?"
