CHAPTER 18
BARAN
As he did every Sunday evening, Baran was having dinner at Viking and Elena’s. Ever since he’d become their son’s godfather, Elena insisted he come over for a home-cooked meal. He enjoyed this time with the Skarsgards, he had to admit. It reminded him of home.
His mind returned to Lily and what had happened in her dorm room. He got c**k-blocked by a pesky little angel who was untouchable. Baran plotted and planned his revenge while pondering this conundrum. When he’d convinced Kristoff to send Katya to live the college life, it was supposed to benefit him, so she could keep an eye on Lily. She wasn’t supposed to become a roadblock.
“You want some more curry with your rice?” Elena asked, pulling him back into the present.
He held up his plate.
“So, what’s got you in a
