LILY
Today was going to be a good day. No, a great day. Lily got off the phone with her lawyer and did a fist pump while doing a little dance around the room. Apparently, she had made a gleeful sound as well, because Katya pulled her gaze from her laptop and gave her a quizzical look.
“I just got some good news,” Lily said, while looking for her purse.
“And…?” Katya prompted. “You can’t just leave it at that. You’re practically glowing. Was that your new boyfriend? He seems kind of…intense.”
She hadn’t thought about Baran this morning at all.
