Zadie's POV
I think I was still in shock from finding that envelope with my brother name on it because I found myself getting into the SUV Donovan had pulled around, not remembering how I even got there. I didn't remember leaving my room.
Looking down at my hands, I was still clutching the letter along with the box of cash.
Donovan took off towards town and must have sensed something was off. I could feel his glance my way a couple of times before finally speaking up. "Whatcha got there?"
