Casey’s P.O.V
The next day I was outside early in the morning and on the training grounds. I had already started warming up when everyone else came out and a few minutes later Devon joined us. Everyone started doing the warm ups with me and when we were finished we did the same as yesterday, as Devon stood in the middle and we all stood around him in a circle.
“Alright, now that everyone is warmed up we are going to do something different today. I want all the men to train over there, while all the girls stand over here.” Devon announced and everyone did as he had asked. The men went to train and spar against each other a few feet away from us, while the girls stood in a line in front of Devon. I stood at the front of the line, until Devon gestured for me to stand next to him.
“Okay, I want each of you to spar against Casey today. I want you to do it one at a time to see if she can copy all or any of your moves. Tracey, you can sit this one out and watch as you sparred against Casey yesterday and she copied all your moves. Karen, you're up, so let's see what happens.” Devon announced, shocking me. I knew he wanted to work on me copying everyone, but I didn’t think I would be facing everyone. Karen nodded and stepped into the circle, facing forward as I joined her. We faced each other and got into our fighting stances, waiting for the signal to start.
“One….two….three...begin.” Devon announced and we both started to fight. At first Karen was kicking me and then she started punching me. Everyone could tell that I was getting pissed off and then I started fighting back, throwing Karen up against the tree. I started copying Karen’s moves and after a while Devon broke it up.
“Alright, let's try Sara.” Devon said and Sara stepped into the ring as Karen stepped out. Yet again we got into our fighting stances and Devon told us to begin fighting. Sara did her moves, kicking and punching me for ten minutes until I was doing every single move that she was doing. Devon stopped the fight and then another girl stepped into the circle. Each girl came forward, challenging me and each time I copied the girls moves to the point that by the time we eventually stopped it was getting late. I had sparred with every girl here and copied each of their moves.

Casey was a brilliant fighter and I needed to find another way to challenge her, but I also needed her to find her own style and way of doing things.
“Alright guys, training is over. Tomorrow we will have the guys do the same as the girls have done today. Casey, you did great and I’m proud of you for not running away at the first sign of a struggle. You keep it up and you will be a warrior in no time at all.” I said and a smile spread across her face.
“Thank you so much, that means a lot.” She replied, proud of herself. She turned to walk away, but then I cleared my throat and tapped her on the shoulder, stopping her.
“Casey, can you stay back for a bit, I need to discuss something with you, if you don’t mind.” I asked and she nodded. She stepped to the side and waited for me to finish what I was doing.
“Casey, you did a great job today. Did you tell Luna Star what I said you might be?” I asked and she quickly nodded.
“Yes I did and we did some research on it. From what we read I can’t copy the faces of my pack, only the enemy’s faces, but I can copy fighting moves.” She replied and I nodded.
“Okay, I’m glad you found some information on it. Listen, graduation is next month for the senior trainees, but with how you fight you are also going to graduate and I want you to be the head of the warriors. You need to train hard and you don’t have to copy our moves. I want you to find your own way to fight, your own way to beat the enemy. You will do good, you are stronger than most of the she-bears and she-wolves, so just think about being head warrior, okay.” I said, completely shocking her as her eyes lit up.
“Me? Head warrior? Are you serious? Yes, of course I’ll be head warrior and I promise I’ll train hard. I’ll be out here every morning and I’ll find my own way of fighting. Until then I’ll be out here a little earlier than everyone else to warm up and think about how I can be a better warrior.” Casey replied, jumping up and down with excitement. I nodded in agreement, proud of her and her commitment to the training program. She was a strong, beautiful woman and if she didn’t already have a mate I would have imprinted on her. I had lost my first mate in the last war and I hadn’t found my second chance mate, but I always had my eye on Casey, until she found out that Kirk was her mate. As soon as that happened she was off limits and I kept my thoughts to myself. I shook off my thoughts fast, knowing she was already taken and focused on what I was saying.
“That would be great, Casey. I’ll join you tomorrow morning. We can warm up together and spar to see if you can copy any of my moves.” I said and she nodded.

Devon and I went our separate ways and I went back to my room to relax, but I had a really weird and uncomfortable feeling. The way Devon spoke and looked at me made me feel as if he was hitting on me, but he couldn’t be, could he? I have a mate and I’m not going to cheat on him. I said to myself, but then I heard my wolf sigh in my head.
“I don’t think he was hitting on us, he was just being friendly, that’s all.” I said, talking to my wolf.
“Well, I hope he was just being friendly, maybe soon he will find his second chance mate, just like we did.” My wolf said and I nodded.
“I hope so too, I only want Devon as a friend, nothing more. He seems really nice and any she-wolf would be lucky to have him. Don’t get me wrong if I didn’t have a mate, then sure, but I have a mate, Kirk and I’m not going to mess that up. I won’t do it.” I said, speaking the truth. I wouldn’t change a single thing about Kirk and our bond, he was mine and I was his, nothing and no one was going to get in the way of that.
