Chapter 17

Graven’s P.O.V 

  I ran back to the rogue pack, mind-linking the Alpha about the rogue, but also not knowing what to do at the moment except shower. I seriously needed a shower after that horrible smelling spray, even though I had already washed in the lake, I could still smell it. When I got there everyone was already waiting around, which made me curious as to what was going on.

  “What's happened?” I asked and Alpha Ellis just nodded at me.

  “Nothings going on, but we got your mind-link about the rogue and what he had done. We looked around and there was a rogue here bragging about giving you a spray that would make you smell terrible, which from the way you smell it's true. We got him and put him in the cells, but he said that he gave it to you as a joke. He could have gotten you killed and this she-wolf right here has taken a fancy to you. She would be pissed if you got killed, so we brought him here for you to deal with him.” Alpha Ellis replied, making me smile. Good, this is good. I think it's time for her to help me, if she would, that is.

  “Come with me to confront this rogue.” I said and she was a little shocked at my request, but she nodded. She walked with me to the cells and down the steps to the old cellar. You could smell the blood, garbage and death in here. I tried to shake off the smell of blood as I carried on walking to the cell where the young rogue who tricked me was being held. When I stood in front of the cell he looked up and the fear in his eyes was visible to everyone who looked at him.

  “Did….did you come to kill me because I played a prank on you?” The young rogue asked and I shook my head. These young ones will never learn.

  “No, I didn’t come to kill you just yet, tell me why you gave me a spray that made me stink even worse than a rogue normally does? You knew I was trying to get to my mate, you could have gotten me killed, but instead they thankfully just threw me out into the middle of the woods.” I replied and suddenly the young rogue smirked at me as he tried not to laugh. The look on his face only served to piss me off even more.

  “It was only a joke, I really didn’t think you would spray it on you and go into that territory. You're not even supposed to be in there anyway, but at least they didn’t kill you. You're still alive and from the looks of it you have your mate, so it all worked out. Just look at the way she looks at you, she looks at you with love and care. You can’t tell me that you don’t see that in her eyes, why even try to get the other one when you have this one right here?.” The young rogue asked, making me turn to look at the she-wolf next to me. The way she looked at me surprised the hell out of me. I could easily imprint on her and still have my mate as well, hell, why not?

  “Well, do you wanna at least until you find your mate? We can imprint on each other and when you find your mate you will be free to go to him.” I said, looking into her eyes and she looked a little taken aback.

  “Graven, if you haven’t noticed by now, you are my mate. If you don’t want to be mates then reject me now. I’ll be okay, in fact I’ll be fine.” She said and this time it was my turn to be shocked. Why haven’t I noticed this before? I couldn’t tell if she was my mate or not, but I’ll gladly imprint on her. How is it possible for me to have two mates at the same time? Is it even possible or was she trying to trick me into marking her? I took her in my arms, kissing her and holding her tightly.

  “You are mine, all mine.” I whispered to her and then turned to the young rogue.

  “You can stay in here for a few months to teach you a lesson, until then I’m taking my mate out of here.” I said, slapping her ass and making her jump. I could have fun with her for a while, at least until I figured out how to get my mate from the Black Bear pack. Maybe, just maybe she will agree to having another in our bed, but until then I’m going to have some fun with this supposed mate of mine.

  “I’m going to mark you in a place that is going to drive you insane.” I whispered, wrapping my arm around her waist and pulling her closer to me. Her eyes lit up as she blushed a deep shade of red.
