After I left Van and Brie's suite I went downstairs to the kitchen and asked the Omega who was washing dishes if she would let Mrs. White know I was needing to speak with her. He nodded and walked into the kitchen office. A few moments later Mrs.White walked in and asked what she could do for me. I told her I was wanting to plan a nice dinner for Ember and I wanted us to eat in our suite. She asked what I had in mind as far as what she needed to cook and I said what do you think a nice dinner for us to talk would be? I am not used to planning stuff like this and I want to do just a nice simple dinner. She smiled at me and said she would prepare a nice baked lemon pepper chicken with garlic-roasted carrots and potatoes, a side salad, and homemade rolls. I said that sounded good to me. She asked what time I wanted it to be sent up and I asked if she could send it up around 6 p.m. She said she would have it up to us on time. When I left the kitchen I decided to run out to the flower garden and pick a few flowers for Ember and then head back upstairs.
When I got back to our suite, the door was cracked and I could hear Ember crying. I opened the door and saw her sitting on the couch with her head in her hands. I dropped the flowers on the coffee table and walked over to her. I wrapped my arms around her and told her everything was going to be ok. She wrapped her arms around my neck and said she didn't know which urn to pick out and needed my help. I helped her stand up and we looked at them. She choose 3 but couldn't decide which one would be best. I told her which one I liked and she gave me a half smile and said that was the same one she liked the most. I told her to get that one and I would let Alpha Hardin know we picked it out. Alpha Hardin and Luna Aspen have been a blessing from the moon goddess since the day Van and I were found on his property and they have been a huge blessing since this happened. I don't think I could ever repay them for all they have done for me and I am sure that goes for Van as well. When Ember finished customizing the order for the urn, I had her sit down on the couch and I handed her the flowers I picked for her. She asked if they were for us to go put by the statue and I told her no. I told her those flowers were for her from me. She smiled and told me thank you.
I said my love, I have arranged for Mrs. White to cook us something special for dinner and it will be brought up to us at 6 p.m. She asked why I planned a dinner for us in our room and I told her I wanted the two of us to be able to sit and talk without all the noise and the interruptions from pack members giving their condolences. I think since we are home now, we need this time tonight to actually talk. Ember stared at me with a confused expression followed by a worried expression. I said relax my love. It's not a bad thing that we need to talk. It's something we need to do in order to try and move on from this. Ember's eyes started to water and I said, before you start crying my love, I don't mean just forget about our son. I mean we need to move forward and not stay here in this dark place we have both been in. Ember sighed and said I was right. I told her once the food was brought to us we would sit down and eat while talking. She told me that was fine with her and we sat back and waited for the food.
While we waited, I held Ember close and kissed the top of her head every few minutes. I got a mind-link from Alpha Hardin letting me know he had just received the tombstone for Legolas's grave. I told him I would come by later to look at it. I explained about Ember and I needing time to talk about moving forward and he said he understood and would see me later.
When Mrs. White sent the food up, Ember and I sat down at our table and began to eat. Ember moaned at her first bite of the chicken. I laughed and said I missed hearing you moan, my love.
Ember blushed and that wasn't normal for my s*x-crazed mate. I asked why she was blushing and she told me she didn't know. I reached across the table and grabbed her hand and she smiled at me. I said If you are up for it, maybe I could make you moan more tonight. I saw Ember's eyes flash and I knew it was Eleaina trying to come forward. I asked Ember if she was ok because she hadn't said anything and she smiled and said she was fine. She said she was just having a conversation with her wolf. I asked about what and she told me they were discussing whether or not Ember was ready to be intimate yet. I asked what the decision was and she smirked and didn't answer me. I felt my member twitch and I begged her to tell me. She laughed and said I'd have to find out later. I said ok fine. I sat back in my chair and took a bite of my salad and when I finished swallowing it I said Ember, I need you to know that this isn't just killing you, my love, it's killing me inside as well. I know it is going to be hard to heal from losing Legolas but I want to try for another pup or more. Ember looked at me and tilted her head to the side but didn't say anything. She just stared like she was still trying to process what I said. I reach across the table and caressed her cheek and said I know it's a lot to think about right now and I am not asking you to jump in the bed with me tonight and start trying again. I just mean in the future, my love. She smiled and told me she did want to try for more in the future. She told me she wanted to try to give Legolas siblings. I stood up and leaned across the table and kissed the top of her head.
When we finished eating Ember and I relaxed on the couch watching a movie before we headed to bed.
