Adrianna
I rubbed my eyes roughly to drive the sleep out of them. God, my body hurts like hell. Looking around, I saw I was in this shack-like house. Well, not really a shack so maybe warehouse but it was pretty old. s**t, what did I do?
I tried to stand up but my knees felt shaky so I stayed down for a few more minutes then tried again, this time being successful.
I wrinkled nose when a strong scent hit me but then my eyes widened in shock when I realized what it was.
Blood.
My hands traveled to my stomach, to hold it as the rotting blood scent attacked my nostrils but when I felt bare skin, I looked down and I was n***d.
Oh God, what did I do?
A trail of blood that led from where I was standing to the other of the room behind some crates made me want to get out of here immediately. But I couldn't leave without knowing what damage I had caused this time.
As I slowly walked over to the crates, a thousand thoughts per second ran through my mind. Maybe it's just some deer. Yeah, it's deer. It has to be. I couldn't have done that again.
I stopped in front of the crates and I felt my nerves on edge. Come on, Adrianna. You can do this.
I peeked behind the crates and my mouth hung open. No! No! No!
I fell back on my a*s in shock and disgust at myself. My hands were covering my mouth and I screamed into them.
I can't believe I did this again. I promised myself I wouldn't. I practiced self-control and look at what I've done!
What kind of a monster am I?
"Yeah, they said it was here. That's what they reported to the Alpha."
My head snapped in the direction of the front entrance of the building. I heard two voices and they were coming straight here.
I jumped to my feet as quietly as I could and backed away from the door.
"Do you smell that?"
"Yeah... Come on."
They were whispering but I could hear every word they were saying.
Using my enhanced speed, I zoomed out of the building through a broken window and up into a tree, watching carefully. I was faster and stealthier than the average wolf because I was...well because I was whatever I am.
"Holy shit... Look at all these bodies! We need to contact the Alpha!" I heard one of them shout.
I held my head down in shame. The number of bodies that were behind those crates...even children ..I was disgusted.
"Search the area. See if you can pick up a scent," the rougher, deeper voice whispered, "I'll contact the Alpha."
So they can't smell me...Thank God.
One of the wolves came outside, he looked around quite carefully and sniffed but I was hidden well in the bushy tree. The blood I was covered in had dried on my body so it couldn't drip to make a trail. Of course, the guard could follow the b****y scent instead of mine and that thought worried me for a moment but the putrid smell from the warehouse was so strong, it covered a wide range of this area so that maybe has me double covered.
I hope.
The wolf sniffed around for a few more minutes before jogging back to the warehouse to his companion.
"I couldn't pick up a scent. The stench here is too strong Elias."
"I figured as much...," Elias muttered, "Alpha Aiko is on his way."
Aiko? I've heard that name before... He's an Alpha around the south. Oh s**t, how the f**k did I get all the way over here?
"What should we do?"
"He said we should stay here and monitor the area for anything or anyone."
The two of them soon got quiet but were staring directly at one another. Maybe they're linking?
Elias nodded his head and companion did the same and he went out of the front entrance. Yup, they were linking.
I need to get the hell out of here.
My spell didn't work. How could it not work? Well, that didn't show me much considering all the others were failures. But I was so sure it would work this time. Obviously, I was wrong. I killed over 15 people. Fifteen more names and bodies to add that list of mine. A list that seems to be growing instead of staying stagnant.
I have 30 more days before the next full moon if I'm correct.
30 more days before I possibly go on another rampage.
30 more days to put a stop to this before someone else puts a stop to me.
