Chapter 2 - The Other side of the truth!

Larisa's pov
A bright sunray gleamed into my dark room from the window and woke me up from my sleep.
Slam*
Marissa came inside slamming the door and with a somber face walked over to me. Her energy seemed more odious compared to other days and her eyes were lacking sympathy as usual.
"The Bloodmoon clan's Alpha died last night, I am just here to deliver this delightful news to you, my lady!" Marissa's cruel words brought tears to my eyes but I clutched them as strongly as I could from falling down my eyes.
"You may leave now!" I ordered fixing my gaze at the window.
As soon as she left, I burst out crying and the pain was unbearable. Kendrick, my mate was no longer alive and I was the one who did this to him!
My father was the original Alpha of our Snowmoon clan and my mother was his luna but they both were killed by our rival clan, and after that my uncle, Waylen, and aunt, Raquel the beta couple took over the throne. I was just a child who lost her parents at a very young age and ever since then I have been living a miserable life with my uncle and aunt.
Hundreds of guards are positioned outside my room door. I am strictly forbidden to go anywhere and neither anyone from outside is allowed to enter my room. Raquel has been keeping me here for how long I don't even remember. I am only allowed to meet people when there is an emergency regarding our clan.
Raquel is afraid that I might take what belongs to her daughter, Enya, but she can't even kill me because our clan people will point fingers at them for my death.
Everyone thinks, my uncle and aunt, treat me like their own daughter and that is why whenever someone from our clan is around, Raquel showers immense love to me!
Raquel was against us when she found out Kendrick, the strongest Alpha of the Bloodmoon clan was my fated mate, she wanted Enya to be his mate and for that, she tortured me day & night which left ugly scars on my body.
We never got the chance to be together and my mate died, he proved his true love for me but on the other hand, I was guilty because my weak body couldn't take a stand against Raquel. Kendrick was my fated mate but for some strange reason, my heart was far from any pain even after his death!
Does that mean I have another mate?
Suddenly, Aris barged inside my room, and a devilish smirk flashed on his lips.
"You should submit yourself to me then I will take your stand against my mother!"
He gently touched my eyes with his fingers and wiped off tears from my lashes.
"You must have heard about Kendrick's death, I can sway your pain if you want!" He kept on talking but I held back all my emotions at that moment.
Aris is furtive, not worthy of trust. I have always maintained my distance from him but he is too stubborn to give up, and so I try my best to only show him my acrimonious side!
"I am going back now, but make your decision soon or I might have to force myself upon you!" Threatening me, he left.
As soon as he left, I took a deep breath and walked over to the window. Standing there, I noticed a pack approaching our area and the ominous energy from them scared me even from a distance.
"Open the door, a pack is coming towards us!" I banged on the door pleading for the emergency but none of the guards took me seriously and ignored my loud groaning as if they were deaf!
The pack reached our gates and before I could do anything, they already started attacking the guards who were guarding the huge walls of our residence. One by one, everyone from that mysterious pack snapped inside and horrible screams ramped up in the long hallways!
My feet were frozen and my eyes were fixed on the door, the screams coming from the hallways were getting louder and louder and just like I imagined the door of my room snapped down in a blink of an eye, and revealed the strong figure standing behind it.
