Chapter 5 Meeting Mss. Ward

1282 Words
-Riccardo- I’m looking at the pictures in the documents on my desk. Vivian f**king Ward. How is she so f**king beautiful? I knew when Luca left my office a couple of days ago that I had to help her. Vincenzo and Enrico agreed. We promised each other, our families that we would do things differently, cut back on the aggression, cut back from the illegal sh*t. Since the birth of Valentina and Vincenzo's twins, my father has given everything to me. I am at the head of the family and we are taking a new path. Marcello has started an education, learning to become an architect, Vincenzo is busy getting his papers to be able to work as a real estate agent and I started a financial office with my father. We are already quite successful. We have hired several people as stockbrokers, and we advise on taxes or other financial advice. Who would have thought that I, Riccardo Ferrante, illegal as f**k, would give other people advice on how they should do their taxes. If someone told me that a half year ago, I would laugh at him. Another disadvantage now that we are more on the right path, is the attention of the government. That's new. I didn't know them. The legal people... The right way, the legal way, is a new way. We're not there yet, but we're doing our best. We have stopped our drug trade, we have stopped the illegal arms trade. cut back on selling illegal weapons. We try to earn our money as honestly as possible. I think I was doing a good job. That was before I had her picture, that was before I saw her walking in my office, before kissing her hand. Feeling how soft her hand was. Looking into her gorgeous blue eyes. Full of fear. It oozed off her. Smelling her flower scent. Her perfect smile. Her flushed cheeks when I told her she could sit on my lap. I saw her n*****s harden when I had her back against the wall, my breath in her neck. Looking down I saw them poking through her thin top. They were screaming for me to touch them, to brush my thumbs over them, to put them in my mouth, suck on them. I needed to back off, because I was so hard for her, if she wasn’t that innocent, if she wasn’t that insecure, then, maybe I would have made a move. Bend her over my desk and f**ked her. But she is innocent and insecure. I couldn't do that, not now, she’s not ready for that... Yet... Okay, back to I was thinking we did a good job, we could do that, no violence, fewer threads.. but Now? Now I want to hunt Jimmy f**king Olson down and rip his throat off, for talking about taking her. And then I want to f**king burn that yoga studio, and burn f**king Bobby in it too! She screamed innocence, nineteen years old, always working and taking care of John, oblivious to the world he operates in. She has no clue. And I’m intended to keep it that way. She is too young to understand, too innocent to know. I will protect her, I will take care of her. She needs to be a bit more confident to be with me because she would do everything, not because she wants it, but because she is f**king scared. "Why do I have you on the phone so early in the morning?" My little brother Chris laughs when he answers his phone. "Good morning, to you too," I answer, "I mean it. It's morning! You can never be reached in the morning!" "You're not going to believe it, but I'm already in the office in the city," I tell him, and he whistles. "What happened?" he asks. “Wet your bed? Someone broke into your house?” He jokes. Everyone knows that I am not a morning person. You shouldn't call me before ten o'clock. I need coffee first to start the day and maybe by lunchtime, I'll be in a good enough mood to have a conversation with people. I have a strict routine, wake up, workout, shower, have coffee, and then I go to the office. I know I’m lazy. But for Vivian, I had to make an exception. I had to see her first before I would send her to Chris. I had to know for sure, and I'm doing that now. "I sent someone to you, Stefano brings her," I inform him. "interesting." He answers. "No, not at all." Chris laughs. "Ricco is in the office before ten o'clock and sends someone my way, a woman. That's interesting, to say the least. Who is it?" he asks and I sigh. He's my little brother. I trust him and Luca with my life. "Vivian Ward," I answer. "You know when you see her." I'll move on. "Her father is in trouble, she needs a place, I gave it to her, she has to stay safe and she is insecure," I tell him "And you bring her to me because?" he asks. "You know what to do. I trust you." I tell him. "I still have other things to do, let me know how it goes. In any case, I will come and see the girls in two weeks. And you, I see you tomorrow at moms." I promise him and I get ready to go to the gym. "Where were you this morning?" Luca looks at me as I enter the gym, in my apartment. "We are going to the Villa this afternoon," I tell him. "what? Why?" he asks. "Vivian is coming here," I answer. My apartment is big enough that we can all live there, but I felt her tension. It's not good for her if I'm around her so much already. She will have to get used to me I expect. Luca knows and he grins. "I saw her before I went here." He says. "She's small." I nod. "And young." "watch it," I warn and he keeps his hands defensively in front of him. "easy there" He laughs. "I know you've set your sights on her, I just wanted to say I get it. Don't you think she's too young? Too innocent?" he asks and I shrug my shoulders as I stand up the treadmill and start running. "That's exactly what I want apparently. I can't explain it. I saw her and I can't get her out of my mind anymore." I confess to him and he laughs and shakes his head. "But I'm waiting, I'm waiting for her to be ready too. All I saw now is confusion in her eyes." I laugh and focus on running. Thinking of my Vivian, my girl. Mine. But running gets me nowhere and I quit. “Fight me.” I blurt out. Luca looks up. “Fight you?” he asks and the door behind me opens. “look at you look like s**t! Chris called me to check on you. Vivian did a number on you?” Enrico laughs and I put on the boxing gloves. I shake my head and sigh. “It’s not Vivian, It’s knowing Jimmy f**king Olson was this close and she worked for Bobby. He called her this morning in my office. I heard the f**ker talking to her like he f**king cared for her and she f**king believed him!” I yell and I start punching the bag since Luca still hasn’t had his gloves on. Enrico puts on the gloves. “Get over here!” he yells at me and we start sparring.
