The sequel to The Mafia's Daughter.
The young girl Vivian Ward is sent by her father to Riccardo Ferrante for protection and a job. The young Vivian immediately finds the much older Riccardo attractive and dangerous, and Riccardo falls in love with the far too young Vivian instantly. In addition, Vivian is far too insecure for the possessive and bossy Riccardo, so he has to fix that first before he can be with her.
He sends her to his brother Christiano who runs the famous strip club, he, in turn, asks for the help of his sister Valentina to make young Vivian more confident. She succeeds and when she dances for Riccardo one afternoon, he knows for sure, and Vivian panics. How can she fall for that man? He's twelve years older, he can never like her, can he?
With her father in prison, who is murdered there, she finds out a big secret, one that Riccardo never wanted to come out, but now that Vivian knows that, everything is ruined. She is broken when she went back to her old family home, where the real surprise awaits.
-Vivian-
I open the door to his office and I'm sure my cheeks are red, not from dancing, but from Luca's comment. I close the door behind me and Riccardo leans against his desk. He looks at me but does nothing else, he kind of smirks.
"Do you want a drink?" he asks and he points to the water and I nod. I know I need to talk, but I don't trust my voice right now.
F**k. He is so handsome, sexy, and everything at once, the hair, clean-shaven face, the tattoos that come from under his sleeves, the muscles beneath the dress shirt. I take the glass with a trembling hand and Riccardo sees it and he takes my hand. His hand is warmer than my hand. "Why are you shaking? Did you eat well today? Enough to drink? Are you sleeping badly?" he fires one question after another at me. "I'm okay." I say and take a quick sip of the water. "are you?" he asks, and he's very close, too close. I could walk away, but my legs decide to stay. He takes the water from my hand and puts it on the desk and he takes my hand again. He pulls me more towards him but he turns me to the mirror. In the mirror, our eyes find each other. He's big. I can't get up to his shoulder yet and I have heels on, without them I would probably reach his chest. "I wanted to say to you, that you were confident tonight." He says. His voice is soft. I feel him standing behind me and his breath on my neck. I look in the mirror and see that he bends over and his right hand releases my hand and lands on my hip "Was it your intention to seduce me?" he asks and his voice makes my legs weak and my knees don't want to carry me anymore. I feel the goosebumps and a shiver goes down my spine and not one of fear or filth, but one of desire. My belly does that one thing, which I have felt before, but never as strongly as now and Riccardo feels it and he steps even closer to me and I naturally lean against him, he is so steady and I love his warm body. He turns me around and holds me tightly. He grabs my chin, not hard, with his finger and thumb. One arm around my waist and the other on my chin and I look up at him. His brown eyes gleam and my breath stop when I think I see what his eyes are saying. Want.Need.Desire. and a grin forms around his mouth. "You're beautiful Vivian, and you've become more confident." He says and I see how he studies my face. "You're not quite there yet." He whispers and he leans further forward, I feel his breath on my lips and he must feel mine on his lips. I want to lose myself in him. He makes me want this too.
