Marcus POV

Livid that I was set up by Kimberly and Jennifer I immediately called my lawyer John. I slapped them both with a slandering order and was taking them to court. I don’t play games and knew my rights when it came to the law. I studied law for a year before switching to accounting instead. I decided I would rather deal with people with their money instead of their livelihoods.

After I got off the phone with John, I caught up to Zaria grabbed by the arm turned her around and explained myself.

“What the hell are you talking about. I’m not doing this because someone told me to or doing it as a favor to you. I’m doing it because I want to, I see the bright, intelligent, beautiful person that you are…. I’m sorry, this girl is the model I was telling you about that I was involved with. She came onto to me out of nowhere I haven’t seen her in almost three years then she shows up making out with me, which I didn’t do anything with her by the way. When I saw it was her, I didn’t even get a chance to walk away before she jumped into my arms and starting kissing me all over. These pictures are blown out of proportion and only caught me from my back and not the front. If I did anything with her my clothes would be wrinkled or I would have changed them which I didn’t do. Plus, you called me right after the incident occurred. I take my time with a woman’s body to make sure she is satisfied before me. Now…... we really need to talk so let’s go somewhere where I’m not being harassed by the waitress” I said and led her to my car.

We went to another restaurant that was close to her job; she didn’t have much time left for lunch and I needed to speak to her. Once we got there, we sat in a quiet corner next to the window, I called the waiter over immediately and we ordered drinks. I got started once he walked away and I was glad the waiter was a male.

“Want to go away with me?!!.... Just hear me out before you respond please” I said.

She nodded her head yes and I started to speak again, but stopped due to the waiter returning with the drinks. We ordered food before he walked away so we wouldn’t be interrupted while we spoke.

“I asked the question because it will be getting closer to your due date and I’d love to call you my wife sooner than later if that’s okay with you” I said.

She looked away out of the window deep in thought and that’s when I took my chance and got down on one knee and had the lilies brought over.

My jeweler Carter called while I was on my way to see Alex, so I stopped by since he was on my way to Alex office. When I arrived at his office Zaria looked so beautiful, she didn’t need to have my stylist or make up and hair artist come. She was stunning in a white knee length sleeveless dress, with some Christian Louboutin black ankle boots with a black infinity scarf with her long black hair hanging down past her shoulders. While I was in Alex office, I called to have some lilies delivered to my location to surprise here since those are her favorite.

When she looked back, she was stunned at the sight she saw as I pulled the ring from my pocket as cameras were recording and flashing.

“I know we don’t know each other well, but I would love to spend the rest of my life getting to know you inside and out. Since the first day I laid eyes on you I wanted to make you mine, I was so jealous that Alex got you first, but I had no choice but to be happy for my best friend. Now it looks like I was blessed to have this chance with you. I would very much love to call you my wife if you will do me the honor of becoming Mrs. Connors. I swear to protect you and my child growing inside you” I said as she looked at me with tears in her eyes.

She thought about it for a minute before responding

“Yes, I will do you the honors of becoming your wife” she said.

I was super happy that she agreed and slipped the 5-carat princess cut three diamond ring onto her finger. I helped her up before engulfing her into a massive hug giving her kisses from her lips down her neck. After I proposed I received a ton of phone calls and emails, so I got our food to go and we headed back to Alex office building. We decided that we were going to leave tonight and spend the month together and get married.

Alexander POV

​Marcus and Zaria made it back to the office and upon arrival I called them both into my office.

“Congratulations guys, the good news travels fast it’s all over social media, I want to say thank you for working with me and trying to keep things all in the family” I said as I laughed

“Anyway, the other reason I called you both in here is because one, Marcus we need to meet with Zach as soon as possible he is meeting us at Francesca’s in about 10 minutes. Zaria, instead of hiring a temp while you are away, I hired my last assistant back Dante. Dante quit working here due to me leaving for more than a month and didn’t want to deal with Henry because they had issues. Now with my wife knowing that you work here I do not want you to get hurt or anything and I can’t have you as my assistant she will definitely think something is going on” I said.

“I figured I was thinking about that myself when I seen her earlier today” she said.

“I have been thinking long and hard and I want to keep you close to my side, so how about when you get back you take over the CFO position. I’m looking for someone to replace Henry anyway, I fired him today for taking a very long vacation when he just came back from a vacation before I left” I said.

She looked at me then at Marcus and back to me again before replying

“Are you serious I’m not sure if I can do it” she said.

“What do you think you were doing basically when I was gone, you ran the business, you made sure all the numbers lined up, everyone was on budget and didn’t take no for an answer. I can definitely use you in that position instead of my personal assistant. Think about it and let me know tomorrow before you leave so I can prepare everything that you will need including training materials and maybe some business classes” I said.

She nodded her head yes and returned back to her office as Marcus and I left to go meet with Zach.

We arrived at the restaurant 15 minutes later and Zach was already waiting for us at a table outside. We greeted him upon arrival and sat down

“What happened for the reason you wanted to meet as soon as possible” I said.

“The reason your wife presented you with the video was because I was seconds from finding out what she did and was acquiring the video when you called me upset. The P.I was able to get someone to talk but apparently, your wife knew someone who told her first beforehand. There is nothing I can do about the video and what happened but I think I can get the prenup thrown out due to you being coerced to sign it again the day before your wedding indicating changes that wasn’t made to the prenup at first. We could bring the other prenup that was signed well before the wedding back into play. Wait before you go and do something stupid, I have to make sure I can the new one thrown out and the other valid” he said.

Marcus sat there fuming said “how can there be nothing done about what happened in the video, they clearly drugged him and basically raped him for his semen just so she could get pregnant”.

“Well when you say it like that, I could probably submit the video and state that very reason” Zach said.

“yes, and also mention the fact that she paid people to do this and have evidence stating such. She clearly did not have problem with giving me the video as evidence either” I said.

We sat there for another 30 minutes trying to figure out ways to get this situation handled and under control. We ordered another round of drinks when Marcus gets a call from Zaria and she is very hysterical and crying that he can hardly understand her. We rushed back to the office and everything looks normal on the inside then we take the elevator up to the top floor and the same seems fine up there as well until we make it to the offices. Zaria’s office is in a disarray with documents and all of the contents on her desk all over the floor. She is balled up in the corner holding her stomach crying silently. Marcus called her name and ran to her side and picked her up. As he was rushing out the office, he yelled back

“I’m taking her to the hospital figure out what happened here and I’ll keep you in the loop once I get word on her and the baby condition”.

I was so livid at what occurred in my office and everyone and everything seemed to be normal. I called security to my office to see what happened and who they let up here that they were not supposed to. They said that that they do not know what happened and no one came up here unannounced to them, everyone signed in and signed out at the desk. I dismissed them and called Bob I told him that I needed footage of the cameras in my building to find out what happened and who came here. He told me to give him an hour and he will have the videos for me. Until then I went around to my employees to see if anyone seen someone out of the ordinary coming here. They all responded with no, so I took the next step and got on the PA system where everyone in my building could hear.

“I’m not sure what happened here today in my office to my assistant, but once I get down to the bottom of it everyone involved will be fired and charged with assault” I said and got off the system.

I was so eager to find out if my child and Zaria were okay, I couldn’t sit still so to keep my mind off of it I went and started cleaning up her office. I was halfway done when I got a call from Bob saying that he had the footage I wanted. I told him to meet me at my house in 20 minutes and phoned Dante to come to the office to finish cleaning up and to organize all of the documents and left. I was glad that he agreed to come back, next to Zaria he was one of the best assistants that I have had.

I made it to my house in 15 minutes and saw that Bob had already made it there before me. We went inside and up to my office computer where I could view the footage. He handed me three video feeds from three different cameras, the front desk at the entrance, on the top floor near the elevators and the one in the back pointed toward my office.

​The first one I put in was of the entrance and nothing looked unfamiliar at first until I seen a very attractive busty blonde come in and distract the security while Stacy and Kimberly walked right passed them. I took that one out and put the other one in of the elevators, and I seen them exit the elevators on the top floor and I seen my receptionist Carmen nod at them as they went to the back. I put in the last video and what I seen next shook me to the core.
