I can’t believe what happened!

Marcy POV

​I was livid as f**k when I saw the video of what happened to Zaria, I couldn’t think straight at all and couldn’t believe that Kimberly would do something like this.

Alexander came to the hospital after retrieving the video footage from his cameras of the incident.

“You may want to sit down for what I have to show you” he said.

So, I took his advice and sat down then he passed me his phone and I hit play. I seen Kimberly and Stacy head nod the new receptionist Carmen as they walked past her to Zaria office. Zaria was on the phone so she didn’t notice anyone come in. Once she got off the phone she looked up and seen the two of them and stood up and said something while picking the phone up. My guess was that she was going to call security if they did not leave. Next thing you know they attacked her hitting her in the stomach, face, head etc, and then Stacy knocked everything on the ground that was on her desk and they pushed her onto the desk and kept hitting her repeatedly. She tried to guard her stomach as much as possible but every time she did one of them hit her in the face. After they were finished, they pushed her onto the floor then starting knocking a lot of other stuff on the ground as well then left out laughing. Zaria was able to make it to the phone about 10 minutes later to dial out and I guess that was when I received her phone call.

After I seen that video, I had to leave to meet up with a few people I knew who could get the job done that I needed. I phoned my brother Lamar, he was a detective, then I called my sister Amy, she one of the best personal injury lawyers that I knew. I also called my lawyer John as well to meet me now at Café Bistro up the street. I met with them 10 minutes later to see what could be done about Zaria being attacked. They told me to have her press charges on them and Amy is going after them for attacking her and my lawyer is going to slap them with a restraining order as well as sue both of them especially if any harm comes to Zaria’s child.

​After I left meeting with them, I called Kimberly and to my surprise she answered

“Hello lover, are you tired of her already. I knew it would be just a matter of time before you came running back to me. Where do you want to meet me at, its been to long since I felt that big c**k of yours” she said.

I just looked at the phone in disgust but decided to play nice I needed the both of them at my beck and call and knew they both wanted me. So, I planned on setting a trap for them to meet me and Alex somewhere secluded and told her I’d call her back with the details. I headed back up to Zaria’s room an hour later to find her awake and smiling.

“Hey gorgeous how are you feeling” I said upon entry incasing her in a hug

“Better now that I know my baby is okay…. I want something to be done about all of them including your wife as well Alex. I cannot continue to be around the two of you if harm keeps knocking on my door, I want to keep my child safe by any means necessary. If that means cutting you both off to do it then so be it, I can’t deal with this at all. I never knew that they were bold enough to put their hands on me over something so trivial as this, if I was not pregnant, I would have fought but I wanted to protect my child” she said.

“Believe me this s**t is never going to happen to you again, especially not by those two. First thing’s first once you are able to my brother Lamar will come to take your statement and start bringing them up on charges. My sister Amy is going to start the lawsuits for them injuring you, and my lawyer is suing them as well and setting up restraining orders. Kimberly thinks she is well off now, wait until I’m finished with her, she won’t be able to show her face here ever again” I said.

After a long silence Alex spoke up

“I’ve arranged to have the two of you be discharged to wherever you want to go. Ill also have an on-call doctor nearby along with a stay at home nurse for the next two months until the baby is full term. So, if you guys are still planning on going to San Anna island, I would do that, I know a few people there that owe me favors” he said.

I looked at Zaria who looked at both of us and said “I don’t mind doing that I need a vacation to get away for a while. Anyway we need to come up with a name for our baby since we all will be taking care of him. So, I thought about Alexander Michael Connors, Alexander (named after his father) Michael (named after my late father) Connors (last name of Marcus)” she said.

Me and Alex looked at each other and shook our heads agreeing with Zaria on the name for our son. After a few more moments together I asked Alex to speak with Zaria alone. He happily obliged and needed to get back to the office anyway to finish handling some affairs.

“How are you doing honestly” I asked her

“I’m okay I promise the only thing I was worried about was my baby and he is safe and I’m glad for that” she said.

“Good I’m glad you’re okay. I’m so so so sorry that this has happened to you and will do everything in my power to make it up to you. I never thought in a million years she would stoop this low to attain my attention, she has never wanted it before” I said.

“It’s probably not her that wanted to do this, it could be a part of Jennifer’s plan. When she came to see Alex the other day, she said that she had the both of you sexually. She knows the two of you very well and know that you don’t date each other sloppy seconds so she was surprised that you went for me” she said.

“Hmm really, what else did she say I’m sure she had plenty to say” I said looking at her.

She paused for a moment before continuing

“She also said that she was glad we were together, now she can have Alex all to herself. She also mentioned how the two of you were in bed, Alex likes it rough but passionately and you like to take your time and your favorite thing to do is toss salads” she said not looking at me

“I’ve never slept with her at all, the first time I met her was in Skyton Falls the day before the wedding. I’m not sure how long she has been friends with Kimberly, but that is all the information that was fed to her by her. I was with Kimberly for 4 years before she decided to leave me and focus on her career as I mentioned to you before. Yes…...I do take my time with a woman as I mentioned before as well, but that woman has to be special to me for me to give her extreme pleasure such as tossing her salad. Now I do enjoy that, but only with a woman who is deserving of it. At one point in time Kimberly was my life, I wanted to marry her, have her bear my children and all, I was so good too her” I said.

“It’s fine you don’t have to explain” she said before I cut her off

“I do have to explain myself I don’t want there being any secrets between us and I don’t want to hide or keep you in the dark either. I’m falling for you every day and I’ve been trying my best to keep you out of harms way. I understand if you don’t want to continue things with me due to what happened, but I would love for you to give me a chance please” I said

“It’s not your fault that this happened, you couldn’t have known what they were planning, if they are still planning anything. The only thing you can do is keep us safe with all your might” she said smiling

I looked up at her and smiled big glad that she didn’t want to disown me after what happened

“I promise I will keep you both safe with all my might. So once these discharge papers come, we all are out of here, and I’m pretty sure Alex can get us a traveling nurse for our journey. Thank you for giving me chance and I’ll make this up to you starting tonight” I said holding her hand

“Thank you for being our protector…. would you like to go and see Alex before our food arrives?” she said.

“I’d love to” I said and escorted her to the NICU

Alexander POV

​After I showed the video to Marcus he left and told me to give him an hour and he will be back. I sat with Zaria until she woke up. She woke up in a panicked state and I had to calm her down, after I did her first words were

“Where’s the baby, is the baby okay, I want to see the baby” was all she kept saying

“The baby is fine; he is doing great down in the NICU we can go and see him once you calm yourself okay” I said to her

She calmed herself down enough for me to take her to see our son. When she did, she broke down crying seeing him in the incubator with all the tubes.

“I knew it was too early and I wanted to keep him in as long as I could to prevent anything happening to our baby” she said crying.

I kneeled down in front of her and said

“There was nothing that could have been done, you kept him in long enough he was in distress and needed to be delivered. They did what was best for the both of you, so it was going to be him instead of you, but hope has it that he is doing fine. Now let’s go hold him.” I told her as I gave her a hug.

After we came back up from visiting our baby, I excused myself to make a couple of phone calls while she ordered room service. I needed to make sure they both were safe and continued to be safe so I needed to send them all away Marcus included until I got things handled here. I returned to the room to Zaria cheesing so big it was addictive and a smile appeared on my face.

“What are you so happy about” I asked her upon entry

“I didn’t find anything that I liked on the menu, but the doctor said I could have whatever I wanted and I do not want food from here” she said smiling

I got the hint and looked for places in the vicinity that she would want as far as food. I ordered from a nice little Italian restaurant up the street, and ordered enough for her and Marcus to enjoy. We were talking and laughing when Marcus finally came back in. He was relieved to see her awake with a smile on her face and I was glad as well.

After I left, I set up to have them discharged in a few hours. A traveling pediatric nurse and a nurse practitioner will show up and they will all leave to board one of my private jets.

Once I made it to the office, I seen Eden here which was weird due to the simple fact that she works on weekends. As I entered Dante office to get to mine Dante informed me that Carmen left and had not returned so they had to call someone else. I figured as much once I made that announcement on the PA, to see who was involved and knew they were not going to like what I said.

I nodded my head and entered my office; I received a text from Marcus stating Kimberly does not know anything yet and wanted to meet to figure out what to do with them. I agreed and told him to keep me updated and will meet when the time was right.

An hour later I received another text from Marcus stating that a meeting was set with Kimberly and Stacy and to meet them at the food court in the mall. He also said that he had guards standing watch outside Zaria and Alex’s room and Kayla and Paul were there visiting them. Ten minutes later I met Marcus at the food court, we sat down and talked and waited for the girls to arrive. We both sat at an angle so we wouldn’t be surprised when they walked up and I was the first to spot them. Not only were they not alone, Jennifer came with them. I alerted Marcus and we both stood up and watched them walk our way.

“Let’s have a seat shall we, we have business to discuss” Jennifer said.

They all sat down and we refused to sit and talk business with three manipulative people who wants their cake and to eat it too.

“That’s fine you don’t have to sit just listen and you let us know how you want to do things okay” Jennifer said once again.

“What the f**k do you want” Marcus said seething with rage

“Calm down baby this will work in all of our favor just listen” Kimberly said

Marcus shot her a look that could kill and it shut her up instantly.

“Keep talking or we walking” I said

“Give us a baby and we will leave her alone promise” Jennifer said signaling crossing her heart.

“If I’m not mistaken you are already pregnant, are you not” I said

“Of course not, that ultrasound was from my cousin who just found out she was pregnant I paid her to let me borrow it for a while” she said.

“You are so despicable and this is not how you get what you want” Marcus said loudly

“I tried to do things the right way by getting married to Alex, but no this slut came out of nowhere and now I have to put up with a mistress” Jennifer said glaring at Marcus

“Mistress where, if I’m not mistaken, I think I’m engaged to this so-called mistress that you speak of. So please tell me what mistress, you’re worried about the wrong thing baby girl. You need to be worried about all the women that’s about to throw shade your way for sleeping with your husband” Marcus said.

Jennifer just glared at Marcus seething in anger and couldn’t say not one word due to it being true.

“Please Marcus, we all know that you want me back you worshipped the ground I walked on and at one point in time you begged me day and night to bear your children” Kimberly said snickering

“Newsflash I found someone else who is way better inside and out and even better in bed as well. So, spare me please I’ve moved on and don’t have time to deal with you at all. Matter of fact I’m done with this conversation and don’t want to speak any more about this nonsense” Marcus said.

Next thing I knew 4 police officers came our way and arrested all of them for assaulting Zaria. They were furious and didn’t know what was going on. While they were being read their rights Kimberly tried to reason with Marcus. He just turned around motioned for me to come on and we left. We went to a bar that was right down the street and ordered two scotches neat before Marcus started talking.

“Do you have all of the arrangements set up for us to leave” he said

“I have everything ready and set to go just waiting on my word” I told him

“I’ll see if Zaria wants to take anything with her, the latest we can leave is tomorrow night without anyone finding out about it. I have them on a 48 hour hold until we can board the flight and leave. I don’t want to risk them finding out or have us followed” he said while downing his drink and ordering another round.
