The position they were in was somewhat awkward, and if anyone walked in, it might appear that Kevin was trying to attack her sexually. Her right leg was on Kevin's shoulder, she was still standing on her left, and her body was against the wall with Kevin pressed against her.
Sophie was furious; she wanted to push Kevin away with her hips and spin around, but if she did, that meant more physical contact would be unavoidable.
Kevin suddenly asked, "Are you, Mona?"
“Let go of me! Who is Mona? I'm not Mona!" Sophie didn't dare move; she had already tried but felt Kevin's lower body reacting to her squirming. If she aroused him too much, there might be trouble. She would not stand a chance if he attacked her.
A frown appeared on Kevin's face. He wondered if she wasn't Mona, then how would she know the attack moves. It had to be that she was angry, so she wasn't answering truthfully. He thought for a moment, "Isn't your nickname Mona?"
Kevin truly believed that Sophie was his fiancée, based upon her fighting skills and the fact that she said her man created them. He wanted to break off the engagement, but it was hard to track someone down only by her nickname.
Sophie was getting angrier by the second; she told him she wasn't this Mona person, so she didn't know why he kept asking. Suddenly, she realized he just wanted to take advantage of her. If she had been carrying a gun, she would have shot him. She clenched her teeth and refused to answer him, just glaring at him bitterly.
When Kevin opened his mouth to speak, someone yelled through the door. It was apparent that someone was trying to get in, but the door was locked. Both Sophie and Kevin looked at the door and let out a collective sigh of relief; it would have been embarrassing to be caught in the position they were in.
"Let go of me!”
Kevin nodded then Sophie swiftly lifted her leg to kick him in the crotch. She was too slow for Kevin though, he quickly moved sideways, and she hit his leg.
"f**k Mona! You are so cruel!" Kevin exclaimed as he took the opportunity to fly at her. He grabbed her leg with his left hand, lifting her leg to his waist, then with his other hand, he grabbed her right wrist and pushed her back up against the wall.
The position they were in was even more unclear, Sophie's leg was on Kevin's waist, and he had also managed to hold both wrists with one hand. Their bodies were intertwined and pressed close together.
Kevin was worried that if he let her go, she would kick him, and he might not be able to have children in the future. The pain in his leg reminded him that she had a lot of strength.
"Let go of me! What are you going to do?"
"What if you hit me again after I let you go?" Kevin looked at Sophie angrily.
He remembered his mother saying that the more beautiful a woman was, the more deceitful she could be. It seemed that his mother was right.
"No, I won't!" Sophie was horrified because the look in Kevin's eyes and the painting made her feel weak. She began to question if Kevin wanted to have s*x with her.
They heard voices outside the door again, they both turned to look, they saw the door being pushed open.
Captain Christopher's voice echoed through the room, "Sophie, why did you close the door during interrogation? Oh, I'm sorry, wrong room."
Captain Christopher immediately understood it when he saw the two pressed against the wall. He figured out why Sophie wanted to interrogate the man alone, it turned out they knew each other, and the relationship seemed to be complicated.
As the captain turned to leave, Sophie shouted, “Captain Christopher, you misunderstood. You need to let go of me now!”
Kevin immediately took a step back and looked at Captain Christopher, then laughed, "Well, Captain Christopher, you have misunderstood. Mona and I, it's not what you think it is."
"Oh?" Captain Christopher nodded, not believing Sophie's words at all. Since Kevin called her by her nickname, they must have known each other well, he thought.
Sophie didn't know what to say, so she softly whispered, "Yes, yes, it's not what you think it is."
Captain Christopher didn't say anything. He just glanced at Kevin, "You can go now. They have confessed that Jake had asked them to attack you, but somehow they ended up beating Jake.”
Kevin shook his head and chuckled, Jake was the victim, but he was the guy behind it too. He turned to say something to Sophie, but he saw her eyes filled with anger and a look that could kill.
He took a step back and gasped, figuring it would be better to find another time to break off the engagement. If he told her now he didn’t want to marry her, it would be embarrassing, especially if she didn’t agree.
"Then I guess I will be leaving. Goodbye, Mona, I'll talk to you later."
"No way! I will kill you if I see you again!” Sophie swore, but Kevin had already walked away.
Captain Christopher shrugged. He laughed to himself that they were probably having fun when he caught them, so they were both uncomfortable.
"Sophie, don't worry. I don’t gossip, so I will keep your secret. But can you play your game at home in the future?”
"Captain Christopher, it's not what you think it is."
"Okay, if you say so, I believe you!" He said as he nodded, but clearly, he didn't mean it.
Sophie stamped her foot desperately, then frowned with pain; the old wound on her calf was flaring up again. She scoffed when she looked at the door; sooner or later, Kevin would suffer by her hand.
Kevin was whistling to himself as he walked out of the police station. He had no idea that Sophie was plotting revenge on him. He was in a great mood, he had found his fiancée, and all that was left to do was find the right time to let her down gently. After that, he would be free to do whatever he wanted.
Emily had left Kevin to talk to the police; she didn't know how long he would be there, so he had to get a taxi home. When he walked in the door, he saw Emily sitting on the sofa waiting for him. He thought it was so sweet of her, but within seconds his ears twitched. Kevin sighed, he had only been gone for the day, and they already installed another bug.
