Chapter 17 Stronger Than You

1053 Words
Joshua froze for a moment and then burst into laughter, "Damn, I like this chick! We need to have a drink together and then some more fun. You seem very interesting. Don't give me a hard time; you have no choice!"   "Oh, no choice, huh? I would like for you to tell me why she has no choice,” Kevin walked over and asked Joshua.   Mona was still his fiancée, even though he intended to break up with her. However, until that day came, she was still his. Any man would help when they saw their fiancée being harassed by another man. As her promised husband, Kevin Clarkson, had to help her.   "Why are you here, you bastard?" Sophie had been feeling slightly drunk, but she sobered up the minute she saw Kevin. She put her hand on her waist to grab her gun, forgetting she left it at work. She then clenched her fist tightly, thinking that Kevin might have followed her there.   "Hey!" Joshua slammed his hand down on the table with anger. No matter where he went, no one would talk to him the way Kevin did. First of all, the woman told him to move and then the man. He wasn't going to put up with it; he had to do something immediately.   "Who are you, kid? Do you know who I am? Have you heard about Joshua of the Tiger Lord?" Joshua stood up and asked angrily.   "Sorry, I never heard of it before... what's that? Tiger what?" Kevin glanced at Joshua coldly. He was honest; he had never heard of him; he only knew famous people from the world-class. In Kevin’s eyes, this guy was nothing; it wasn't like he was a boss, so he could be easily crushed like an ant on the ground.   "Damn, how could you...Punish him!" Joshua was so angry that he ordered his people to attack Kevin.   One of the men with bright red hair reached out to grab Kevin's shoulder. The next second, he heard a horrible cracking sound, and then he screamed; Kevin broke his hand.   "Oh, this guy thinks he is something else! Let me hand him!” Another one shouted as the three of them pulled out their knives.   "Seriously? You three are going to take me down with those tiny knives? That is ridiculous!” Kevin chuckled.   The men didn't say anything but took the opportunity to attack Kevin, all jumping on him at once.   "Be careful! Kevin!" Sophie yelled, which made Kevin happy. She did care about him if there was an emergency; he smiled at her.   One knife flew at him from the left, it would have hit Kevin in the chest, but he twisted his body and dodged it at the last second. He swung back and hit the man in the face with his elbow in one swift movement.   "Ouch!" The man with the knife cried; he stepped backward and fell to the ground holding his bloody nose.   Within a split second, Kevin kicked the second guy, who rushed toward him. The man was knocked out when he landed a few meters away on a table.   The last man was running at Kevin holding his knife. Kevin jumped in the air and came down directly on the man’s head, sending him to the floor where he laid unconscious.   When people saw what was happening in the corner, they began to panic and ran out of the bar. They didn’t know who would be bold enough to start a fight in a bar that Adela owned.   Joshua was also shocked; he never expected the kid in front of him to be so strong and cruel. He thought for a moment, then pulled out his gun and aimed it directly at Kevin.   Kevin just smiled without saying a word. He had seen the gun when he first approached Joshua and his thugs.   "Put down your gun and raise your hands. I am a police officer!" Sophie warned, "Plus, you know the rules about guns. Don't do anything you might regret!"   Looking at Sophie, Joshua cursed, “Why have I been so unlucky today?”   He had no choice but to fight and get out of there before being arrested; he grabbed Kevin and put the gun to his head. Joshua shouted, "Don't move, or I will kill him! Even if you are a police officer, so what? Step back!"   "I guess maybe you were the unlucky ones today!” Joshua exclaimed.   Kevin chuckled back, "I must say you are pretty good with your gun. However, if you compare yourself to me, I think I am better!”   Joshua was stunned to hear Kevin's comment. Then he even more astonished when Kevin hit his hand and tried to get his gun. At that moment, Joshua tried to pull the trigger, but his fingers wouldn't bed.   Kevin spun around and kicked him in the stomach. Joshua fell to his knees and then forward onto his face.   Sophie was amazed at what she had seen. She had to agree that Kevin was better at martial arts than she was.   "Mona, are you okay?" Kevin asked.   "My name is not Mona!" Sophie replied in a pissed tone.   "Uh, it seems that you are still mad with me. That's okay; I don't mind." Kevin made a wry smile. Mona seemed to be both funny and stubborn. "Come on; I just saved your life. Can you at least give me a smile? You look cute when you smile. Did you know that?"   "Go away!" Sophie yelled at him. She thought she would have to be crazy to marry a man like him.   "Gosh, my fiancée has a bad temper? I think we will probably be divorced at some point,” Kevin laughed and ran out.   A woman quietly watched everything on the third floor in the bar.   "That man must have an interesting background. Grandma, find out who he is? I need to know more about him.”   "Okay, my dear!" An old lady behind the woman replied and stepped back.   The woman in purple took a sip of her red wine and walked to her desk. She stared at her laptop; she had to check the cameras to find out how the fight started.
