Kevin scoffed to himself as Barton stormed out of the room. He had to come up with a better idea on how to deal with him. Both Edward and Barton must have provided a lot of information to Jameson, and he was forcing them to stay at the company. Otherwise, neither of them would have put up with how Kevin was treating them. If they wanted to play games, Kevin thought he might as well; it wasn't like he had anything else to do with his time.
"All right, Manager Black, I am sure you will be busy with your work so I will go to the security department and announce the changes. These guys seem to be getting a bit stubborn, though," Kevin laughed.
Edward forced a smile; he didn’t want to dare offend his boss’s fiancé. If he complained about anything, his future would be destroyed by both Kevin and Jameson. After all, he was working for Jameson, and if he didn’t provide him with the information he wanted, Jameson would punish him.
Kevin went directly to the security department, where the new leader, Dean Brown, was giving a lecture. He immediately asked everyone to move aside when Kevin walked in. A total of forty-two people in the security department were responsible for all of the security in the entire building.
As he looked at each of them, Kevin thought most of them appeared to be in good health, but a small number of them didn't look like they were guards. These were the men who were close to Barton; they looked to be working for only him and not the company.
"Thank you for allowing me to say a few words," Kevin said as he approached the front of the room. Everyone's eyes were on him when he started speaking, "Today, an avoidable incident occurred. Someone went into the president's office with only one guard trying to stop them. This is negligence on the part of the security."
Listening to Kevin, Barton lowered his head. He had been ordered not to resist
Jameson or his men at any time. If Dean Brown hadn’t stepped up, Jameson would have strolled right in without any interference.
"You are here to protect those who work here. What was wrong with your electric batons? Were they broken? For this reason, Barton, the former head of security, has been removed from his position, deducted three months' salary, and demoted to a security guard. Brown, who stood up against the thugs, has been promoted as your new head of security."
All of the guards looked at Barton. They didn't understand that his uncle was the personnel manager, but he could not go against the president's assistant.
"From now on, your training will be stronger. We will be immediately implementing the shift system. On a daily basis, all security personnel will be required to do two-hundred push-ups..." Kevin rambled on with a multitude of exercises to be completed. Most of the guards were dumbfounded when they heard how much work they had to do, but Dean Brown's eyes lit up.
Dean recognized the training program as being very formal. He was a former soldier and understood that it was the proper amount of training for the army.
"If any of you can't endure the training, you will be fired. Brown, there are forty-two people in front of you; you can only recruit one if you fire one. I can see that you were a soldier and have your own people. You can bring them into work for you, but you need to get rid of some first, as I said. Just make the decisions on your own."
After he was done speaking, Kevin patted Dean's shoulder and said calmly, "People who have been soldiers understand that life is not easy, and the next time someone tries to force their way in, hit him as hard as you can."
"Yes, sir!" Brown saluted, feeling thrilled about the new opportunity he had. The feeling he had was only something those who had been soldiers could comprehend. He vowed in his heart that as long as Kevin was around, he would guard the company as if it was his own home.
When Kevin saw him salute, he saluted back. He could see that retired soldiers sometimes lived a bitter life, with very little compensation for what they did. Plus, it would also teach those working for Jameson a lesson; if they were smart, they would leave.

Emily had a stern face the entire time Kevin was gone, but then she smiled when he walked into her office.
"What did you just do?" She asked.
Albert Norman, Emily's secretary, was shocked to see her smile. She was always ice cold, but she seemed to melt in this man's arms.
Kevin explained to Emily what happened with the security department but didn't tell her about Jameson's inside people; it was still in his best interest to keep them working for the company.
"You handled it well," Emily nodded, "I am thinking on whether or not I should arrange something else for you. Don't worry; I will pay you!"
"No need," Kevin immediately shook his head to stop Emily from saying more. He was just thankful to be useful; he replied, "That is great, but I have something I need to do. Could I borrow your car this afternoon?"
"Sure," Emily threw the keys at Kevin without any questions.
After he ate lunch, Kevin slowly drove Emily's car back and forth between their house and work several times. He sneered from time to time when he saw several vehicles following him.
"Boss, you don't need to worry about him. He is a nobody," Herman's voice told Kevin through his Bluetooth headset. It was evident that he was monitoring the situation via satellite.
"Don't forget what I said in training; even if it is only an ant, you have to do your best!"
"Boss, you are really serious. By the way, your mother called with a message for you.”
"What is it?" Kevin sighed.
"Mona's left leg was injured."
Kevin nearly went off the road. If Sophie's left leg was injured, so she had to be Mona, he thought. He hung up the phone, did a U-turn, and rushed in the direction of the police station.
Sophie was sitting at her desk in a daze. She was confused by what had happened the night before. She had only gone out for a drink, but she caught some gangster with guns. Then when she arrived at work, her boss praised her.
She had been a low-ranking police officer, yet because of what happened, the department head was going to appoint her as deputy captain of the criminal police team.
The entire situation seemed to be nothing she had done. She saw Kevin, who knew Kung Fu, attack ordinary people, so she wanted to teach him a lesson. Instead, a day later, her police career had undergone a tremendous positive transformation.
"Sophie, your boyfriend is here!" Captain Christopher teased.
She didn't have a boyfriend; she was determined to become Lion's woman. Sophie didn't know what her captain was talking about until she turned around to see Kevin.
"It's you, I..." Sophie wanted to grab her gun, but she took a deep breath. She was in the police station and could not do anything irrational.
"Why are you here?” She moaned.
"Did you hurt your left leg?" Kevin glanced at Sophie's leg. Sophie was taken aback; there was no way he could know.
