Emily couldn’t remember the last time she laughed so much. When she became the president of Axis Group, she had to force herself to be cold-hearted and lead the company through its ups and downs in the business world. However, it made her unhappy to act like that, she used to laugh but now she was like stone.
The man from the country sat in front of her, talking humorously but in a serious manner. Every word he said seemed to be cheering her up.
“Miss Fox,” Kevin looked at Emily’s smile and said with a sincere expression.
“Don’t call me ‘Miss Fox’.” Emily snapped.
“You want to be called Mrs. Clarkson? I didn’t agree to marry you.”
Emily laughed again, she even held her stomach because it was hurting from laughing so much. For a brief moment, she wondered if Nina’s idea was going to fool anyone.
“My sister’s name is Emily. You can be on first-name terms with her. Remember you need to show intimacy.”
“Okay, okay. So, Darling? Honey? Dear? Babe? Sweetheart? Which one do you prefer?”
This time it was Nina who burst into laughter. Emily blushed, but when she saw Kevin’s confused face she laughed as well.
Kevin took this opportunity to watch Emily. He was sure that if he was ever to get married, his wife should look like her.
After a while, Emily stopped laughing and asked Nina to go into the other room with her.
Kevin could hear them whispering and after a long while they came back, still giggling.
Nina handed a contract to Kevin, “Sign your name here as Party B and then you will officially begin work.”
“No probationary period?” Kevin pretended to be surprised.
Emily seemed to be about to laugh again, but she just commented, “Why would we need that? Just read the contract carefully. There are only three stipulations.”
Kevin read the contract. Indeed, there were just three articles. The contract clearly specified:
I. As Emily Fox’s boyfriend, Kevin should be on call at all times and handle any man who tries to approach her.
II. Kevin Clarkson lives with the Fox sisters in their villa, but he has a separate room and cannot overstep the line.
III. Neither party will interfere in the other’s personal lives, but that should not affect the implementation of the contract.
Kevin noticed that the salary was not mentioned. He looked up and asked, “My salary?”
“Rest assured, I won’t go back on my word. You will receive $5000 per month and if you perform well, you will get a bonus.”
Kevin’s eyes widened. He picked up the pen and exclaimed, “Sounds great to me!”
“Okay, now let me take you to buy clothes. I don’t think anyone would believe you are Emily’s boyfriend dressed like that. Follow me!” Nina ordered.
“Yes, yes.” Kevin’s face broke into a wide grin, which amused Emily.
Kevin suddenly stopped when he got to the door, “Who is going to pay for the clothes?”
Once again, Emily burst out laughing.
“You are going to be acting as if you are a rich man. You shouldn’t fuss over such a small amount. I will pay for them,” Nina shouted from outside the door.
“Well, I’m starting to love this job.”

Nina took Kevin to the biggest shopping center in Andover City, Starlight Mall. She knew she would be able to find plenty of clothing for him, but the staff was slightly shocked when they walked in. Nina was wearing designer clothing and the man next to her was dressed like a farmer.
Thankfully, the salespeople were well-trained, and would not discriminate based on Kevin’s clothing. They found a fitting room and handed him a dark pinstriped business suit to try on. When he opened the door all the salespeople and Nina were stunned.
As if by magic, Kevin transformed from a country farmer to a business executive. He radiated such charm and class that Nina barely recognized him.
“How do I look?” Kevin asked as he looked at his reflection from different angles. He was quite satisfied with his new look. The only drawback was that it didn’t show his animal magnetism. In his opinion, he was most attractive in his army uniform.
“Sir, you seem to be tailor-made for the suit. Madam, your boyfriend is so handsome. You made a great choice for a partner,” A salesperson praised sincerely. She felt terrible for judging Kevin when he walked in.
The younger salespeople gazed adoringly at Kevin.
“He’s not my boyfriend!” Nina quickly replied.
Her words caused a stir among the salespeople around.
“He’s my sister’s boyfriend,” She explained.
“You look good. I do have great taste! Emily is bound to be shocked, haha. Dance for me, Kevin.”
Kevin looked speechlessly at Nina, she looked more like a talent agent than the assistant to the president of a large company.
They paid quickly under the adoring eye of salespeople and headed back to Axis Group.
“Your appearance is perfect now, but you should also be careful of what you say and what you do,” Nina insisted as soon as they got into the car.
She was fearful that Kevin, though neatly dressed, would give himself away by saying something like “our village”.
Kevin smiled faintly and shook his head.
Nina’s car soon reached the company, but she frowned at the gate.
Two men that wore crisp suits and held bouquets of roses were standing there and waiting anxiously.
“s**t! These two guys again.”
“Who are they?” Kevin quickly looked them over, they didn’t appear to be thugs. They were very pale though, which Kevin assumed was from too much alcohol.
“Nothing but chewing gum stuck on the bottom of my shoe,” Nina answered unhappily. She looked over at Kevin, “This is your job now. They are extremely thick-skinned though, so don’t hesitate to humiliate them.”
Kevin nodded and snapped his fingers, “I’ll take care of them.”
